Chapter 124 Title
Daxton
My mouth covered hers, swallowing her moans as I ploughed her wet little pussy, the bed moving and squeaking with my fast pace.
The taste of her lips was intoxicating as she squirmed underneath me with her nails digging into my back. Underneath the desire that soaked my bones lay a fiery anger that made me bite hard on her bottom lip.
Verena released a pleasurable moan as she bucked her hips to meet my thrust and took every inch of—my dick and madness.
I was mad at her even though I shouldn’t be.
I saw them last night.
As I slammed balls deep into her, all I could see was him standing behind her, his arms wrapped around her as she thrashed against his hold before shoving him away, sending him stumbling to the ground.
Kian was pushing me. To a very dark point. To a place where he wouldn’t leave unscathed.
That scene made my blood boil all over again and as Verena, begged me to fuck her harder, I pulled out.
I didn’t like another man touching her.
But, he did.
And right now, it was messing with my head.
Verena’s eyes shot open, locking with mine as panic flickered and fizzled out in them. “What’s wrong?”
I grasped her by the hips, pulling her closer to me as I slapped the head of my dick against her clit while she gasped, her back arching as I slid my cock down her slick folds and teased her entrance.
Her teeth came down on her lower lip and fuck, it sent blood straight to my groin. She reached for my dick, and I swatted her hands off.
Verena’s eyes popped wide. “Please fuck me Daxton…”
“No,” I came down on her, kneading her breast in one hand and tugging at her nipple enough to make her moan and writhe under me with need. “Not until you give a damn good explanation as to why Kian had his arms wrapped around you by 1:27 A.M,” my eyes shot to her.
She bit back on a moan, blinking. “You were awa—”
I pushed slowly inside of her and before a gasp could fully escape her mouth, I pulled out.
I only wanted answers.
“I…” she muttered curses under her breath. “I was just trying to catch up on my work—it’s been piling up. I ran into Kian in the kitchen. He was drunk and started his usual nonsense. Ever since he found out we’re planning to get married, he’s been brooding. When I was done with entertaining him, I stormed out… I didn’t even realize he followed me, and then… he hugged me from behind,”
Images of his mouth against her ear, flashed through my head as I trailed wet kisses down her stomach, pressed a kiss to her wrist—all the places that idiot had touched last night.
“What did he whisper into your ear?”
“He’s sorry for saying he would blow me up at the altar. He told me to come back to him,”
Oh, My God. I would kill Kian. I swear that before he even thinks of touching a single strand of her hair, he’ll already be six feet away.
“And what did you say?”
“Told him to fuck off,”
I smirked even though it did nothing to soothe the rising anger in me. “Good girl,”
I kissed her softly—an apology for the brutal kisses—then caged her wrist above her head, pushed her knees to her chest, thrust deep inside of her as my balls slapped against her skin.
Verena came out of the shower with the towel wrapped around her chest, shoulders falling as her eyes met mine. “Are you still mad?”
“Very mad!”
She sat on my lap, gripping my jaw as she turned my head towards her and I suddenly regretted the hold Verena had over me because why the fuck was my heart softening already?
And why could I feel my frown slipping away?
“But I told you everything Daxton,”
I shifted my gaze. “If I hadn’t asked, you wouldn’t have told me anything, Verena. If I’d not seen you two…” I breathed.
“Because I know you will react badly. Start a fight in the wrong place. Look at what happened at Nina’s house, she still hasn’t forgotten the mess you two created. Then you both will cause another one here. Hell no.”
“Remember, it’s your sister’s wedding. The last thing she needs is to see the two of you throwing punches. So control your anger. I’ve already handled Kian, okay?” She pulled my nose, her voice soft and warm—doing all the wrong things to my brain. “Please look at me,”
I did—not stare into her eyes though because I knew I would get lost in them and forget everything I wanted to say.
“Still, you should have told me,”
“I had plans of telling you after the wedding,”
“He threatened you, Verena and that’s the last thing I would ever tolerate…”
If it weren’t for the fact that he was drunk, I would have smashed the bat swinging in my hand on his face. But, he was drunk so I let it slide. Instead, I’d dragged him to the lake and left him there.
“Kian won’t do shit. He rambles a lot when he’s drunk, makes threats he can’t keep. The same way he loses his temper when he’s angry then regrets his action later. You should know your nephew better than anyone,”
I held her gaze. “I do but if there’s one thing I don’t do, it is underestimate anyone when they have reached their breaking point.”
~Verena~
I sipped my juice, catching sight of Stacey who—
Waved?
Wait, she was waving at me and worse, she was walking towards me?
Shouldn’t she be with Kian? I heard he got sick, throwing up, shivering, and battling a brutal cold—because that idiot, drunk out of his mind, passed out by the lake and woke up completely soaked.
I darted my eyes away, pretending to be busy with my phone. I couldn’t be the person she was coming to. I doubted that we'd even said hi to each other.
Before I knew it, she stopped on the porch, sitting next to me.
What the fuck was going on?
“Hello,”
I closed my eyes briefly, plastering a smile as I swung my head to her. “If Kian sent you—”
“Why would Kian make his girlfriend meet his ex-wife?” She jerked her head back.
Right.
But I knew they were fake couples.
She grinned, stretching her legs. “I was taking a walk around the estate, spotted you sitting here, and thought to say hi,”
“Oh…”
“Plus, Kian’s sick and knocked out, and I’m bored. You don’t mind if I sit here, do you? If it’s uncomfortable, I can leave and go back to my… traumatizing Turkish series binge.”
My eyes immediately perked up in surprise. Someone else actually enjoyed Turkish series as much as I did? Fascinating.
“Really?”
“Yes,”
I gasped. It was rare to find someone who enjoyed watching the same things as I did. “Oh My…Twin,”
Her lips parted. “Whoa…who would have ever thought that,” she pushed her hair back.
“So, what is it about? I might watch. No spoilers though,”
She grinned and faced me. “So it’s about this perfect girl who owns a coffee shop. She has a very loving fiancée and things were going perfectly until he discovered a dark secret about her…” She paused, taking the full weight of my gaze.
“I know I said no spoilers. What secret?”
Stacey leaned forward. “That she killed her dad and shot him in the head when she was ten because he seized her iPad. The court ruled it a mistake but it doesn’t end there. She also has a history of violent outbursts and her fiancée is scared for his life that he might end up like her father,”
My lips parted. “Crazy…” I crossed my legs slowly. “But I understand his fear. I’d probably feel the same way. I’d be stuck in my head, wondering if one wrong move would make her snap and kill me too. No one would want to be with someone who murdered their own parents over an iPad, even if it happened when they were a child. It’s… unsettling.”
“Right, and he leaves her in the end,”
“As he should,” I said.
“So does he find someone better?”
Stacey smiled and nodded. “He went back to his ex-wife after realizing that although she wasn’t perfect, she was still better,”
Unease curled low in my stomach as my face scrunched. “Weird series though. I don’t think I would be watching but the title?”
“I don’t really remember but when we see next, I’ll tell you the title.”
