Chapter 245
Olivia found a guesthouse in the small town to stay.
The group of four—handsome men and beautiful women—clearly didn't look like ordinary people. The guesthouse owner came over curiously to greet them, "Are you here to take photos at Abyss too?"
From his words, it wasn't hard to gather a lot of information. Olivia raised her eyebrows, "A lot of people come here to take photos?"
"Yeah, many people want to see the sunlit snow mountain at Abyss, but it's really hard to get there. Most people can only look from the foot of the mountain—there's no path if you try to go further."
The owner glanced at them as he spoke, his eyes rolling, "But if you want to go up, I actually know a secret trail. As long as you help promote our guesthouse when you take photos and videos, I'll tell you where the trail is."
It was a blatant exchange of conditions, which earned a cold snort from Royal, "You think I can't find the way myself?"
The guesthouse owner lifted his chin slightly, his tone carrying some pride, "Actually, ordinary people really can't find this mountain path. If you don't believe me, feel free to try finding it yourself. But avalanches happen on the snow mountain from time to time. Over the years, quite a few people who came to challenge themselves and take photos have been buried in the snow by avalanches—they never even found the bodies."
By the end, the owner was sighing with emotion.
Many people tried to exploit the snow mountain, and to gain attention and followers, they ended up losing their lives here.
However, his family had been rooted here for generations, and thanks to his ancestors, he really did know a trail up the mountain.
Rumor had it that years ago, a female celebrity went into the mountain and never came back out. At the time, her team searched everywhere for her, practically turning the mountain upside down, and finally came to him to lead them up the mountain.
Unfortunately, even after going up, they never found her.
That female celebrity probably met a terrible fate, buried under the heavy snow.
But the owner didn't bring up this old story. He just said, "Think it over. I'm only telling you this because I can see you want to go up the mountain."
After speaking, he went off smiling to greet other guests.
Only Olivia's gaze lingered on him briefly before quickly passing.
Just one glance, but Christopher, perceptive as always beside her, noticed. He frowned slightly, "You believe what he said?"
"Outsiders might not know what Abyss is, but you do, don't you?" Olivia looked at him with amusement, "Just as he said, ordinary people can't enter Abyss. Where he can go isn't really Abyss."
Perhaps it wasn't even close to Abyss—maybe just halfway up the mountain, or maybe just the foot of the mountain.
What the guesthouse owner thought was "going up the mountain" was probably just what Abyss allowed humans to see.
Christopher lowered his eyes and analyzed calmly, "True, but from his tone, people have been up the mountain over the years, and he was the one who led them up."
"Exactly. With Parker at Abyss, outsiders wouldn't dare intrude, even just at the entrance of Abyss. But he allowed this owner to bring people into Abyss's boundary—there must be secrets we don't know about."
Olivia looked at Renata as she spoke, "Go check what the main rumors about Abyss have been over the past hundred years."
"Okay." Renata nodded in agreement.
Royal found it too troublesome, "Why make it so complicated? Why don't we just grab the owner and question him? He wouldn't dare lie to us."
"He's just an ordinary human after all. Doing that would scare him." Olivia glanced at him, "Since we're on human territory, we should follow human rules. Otherwise, we'll attract hunters."
If they really attracted hunters, that would be hard to deal with.
Royal pouted and toned down his arrogance, "Fine, I forgot about those annoying guys."
"As if you could remember anything."
Renata rolled her eyes at him and urged, "Hurry up and come help me."
Under the pressure of bloodline hierarchy, Royal had no choice but to nod and follow Renata out of the suite.
With the third wheels gone, Christopher quickly walked to Olivia's side and pulled her into his embrace, holding her extremely tight, as if wanting to merge her into his bones and blood.
He softly called her name, "Olivia."
"Christopher, did you miss me?"
It had been over half a month since they last made love. During this half month, they'd been constantly traveling, and with Parker possessing him, he had been suppressing himself, not wanting that disgusting person to defile her.
Half a month without intimate contact—now touching her, Christopher's whole body was crying out to possess her, or to let her possess him.
He lowered his head, his eyes fixed on Olivia's crimson lips. Without thinking, he bent down and kissed her lips.
Heavy and intense sucking, desperate entanglement—every movement showed how much he missed her.
Olivia was kissed until she could barely breathe.
When it came to kissing her, Christopher had gone from clumsy to skilled in just a few times, grasping her body's sensitive spots with great accuracy.
After just a short while of kissing, Olivia felt aroused. She wrapped her arms around Christopher's neck, her breath like orchids, "Carry me."
She glanced toward the bed, her upturned eyes carrying an obvious hint.
Christopher's eyes were gradually consumed by desire. He picked her up by the waist and walked toward the bed, his whole body filled with longing for her.
The room's curtains were quickly drawn, leaving only darkness in the room, while subtle ambiguous passion flowed through the air.
They made love for an entire day.
In a state of complete abandon, both were immersed in the impact they brought each other, unable to pull themselves away.
Evening.
Renata came to knock on the door, but after knocking twice with no response, she had to walk back.
Seeing her return, Royal was somewhat surprised, "Why are you back so soon?"
"Ms. Smith and Mr. Taylor are busy."
Renata answered perfunctorily, "Let's wait until tonight is over."
Royal was confused and couldn't help asking, "What could be more important than Parker's matter?"
"I call you a kid and you still won't admit it."
Renata grabbed his ear and pulled him back, not letting him disturb Olivia's good time. She glanced at him, "After this is over, we'll probably be able to live normal lives. By then, you should find a wife to keep you in line too."
"What do you mean?"
After pondering for a while, Royal belatedly realized, his ears turning red, "I don't want a wife bossing me around. Having you alone is already too much."
Ever since he and Renata pledged themselves to Olivia, their relationship had changed dramatically. Now Renata was constantly ordering him around—if there was another one, Royal didn't dare imagine how terrible it would be.
On this matter, Renata saw more clearly than he did. She said earnestly, "You'll have to return to the Torres family eventually. Rather than let them arrange a wife you don't like, you should find one yourself."
