Chapter 142: Meeting other men behind your husband’s back?

“Something is not right with Aria. Do you think she is having problems with her husband?” Harry asked, slowly spinning his phone in his hand as he looked at Jun.

Jun did not answer right away. He only shrugged, showing he had no idea. Getting involved in Aria’s marriage was not something he wanted to do. That was not his place.

“You really do not want to find out, Jun? I know you are curious too,” Harry said, trying to push him.

Jun set his cold drink down on the table. “Even if I am curious, I will not step into someone else’s marriage. I do not want Dominic coming after me just because I get close to his wife.”

What Jun said made sense, but Harry did not like it. He did not like how Jun just accepted things without trying to understand what was really going on.

“You seriously do not want to know, Jun?” Harry asked again.

Jun shook his head.

Harry clicked his tongue in annoyance. “You are really useless, Jun.”

“I would rather be called useless than interfere in someone else’s marriage. That is not our business, Harry,” Jun replied.

Harry smirked. “It may not be our business now, but the way Aria is acting will soon become your problem.”

Jun frowned. “My problem? What are you talking about?”

“I know you like Aria. You were just too late. No, not even late. You did not even know she was married before she came here. By the time you started having feelings for her, you found out she already had a husband,” Harry said while pointing at Jun’s chest. “Am I wrong? Do not try to hide it from me. I know everything about you.”

Jun went silent for a moment, thinking. Then he let out a small laugh and gave Harry a crooked smile, brushing off what he said.

“Do not act like you understand my feelings, Harry. You do not know what is going on in my head.”

“Tch. You are still denying it,” Harry said, clearly annoyed.

Harry adjusted his seat so he was facing Jun directly. “You know, this is your chance. Get between Aria and Dominic.”

“No. You are out of your mind. What kind of advice is that?”

Harry let out a long breath. “Talking to someone who has been single for too long is tiring.” He stood up and walked away, leaving Jun alone.

“Where are you going?” Jun asked.

“To the toilet. Want to come? You are still normal, right?”

“You bastard. Just go,” Jun said, annoyed.

After Harry left, Jun leaned back in his chair and stayed quiet. He looked around. The cafe was still calm, with only a few people inside.

His thoughts went back to Aria, and he let out a quiet laugh.

Harry really was his closest friend. He could not even hide his feelings from him.

It was true. He had feelings for Aria. But the moment he found out she had a husband, he stepped back.

Because the person he would be going against was not just a boyfriend. It was a husband.

He had no place stepping into Aria’s life like that. He did not want to make things harder for her in a country that was not even her own.

He took a long breath and let it out slowly. He knew he could not allow himself to be selfish.

So for now, it was enough for him and Aria to stay friends. Or at least, that was what he told himself.

Even though he knew there was no real friendship between a man and a woman without feelings getting involved.

The next day, Aria woke up and saw that Dominic had already gone to work.

She knew it from the small note stuck to the fridge door.

Aria crushed the paper in her hand until it became a tight ball, then threw it into the trash.

Today, she was going to meet Harry. She did not care if Dominic found out and lost his temper. She needed friends, and Dominic had never cared about that.

Aria went to get ready. It did not take her long to bathe and make herself look good.

When she was fully dressed and ready, she picked up her phone and walked out of the house.

She had already made plans to meet Harry and Jun again. At first, both men refused because they did not want to cause problems, but Aria convinced them that nothing bad would happen.

As for Dominic, Aria only contacted him after she was already inside a taxi. She told him she was going out, then turned off her phone right after.

On the other side, Dominic saw her message and immediately tried to call her. Instead of hearing her voice, he got the operator. That made him curse under his breath.

Luckily for him, he had already placed a GPS tracker on Aria’s phone. That meant he could see exactly where she was.

A small, knowing smile formed on his face when her location appeared.

“You can not hide from me, Aria,” Dominic said.

He grabbed his car keys and walked out of his office at a relaxed pace. There was no need to rush. Aria was still on her way. He even stopped to buy a coffee at a cafe across from his company.

When the GPS showed that Aria had stopped moving, Dominic got into his car, started the engine, and drove off at an easy speed.

It took him about fifteen minutes to reach the cafe where Aria was. He parked his car in a spot where it could not be seen from inside, then stepped out and walked in.

As soon as he entered, his eyes moved around, searching for Aria.

The moment he found her, irritation built up inside him.

She was sitting there, laughing freely while talking to two men he knew well, Harry and Jun.

Dominic walked straight toward her and stopped right behind her. His eyes locked onto Harry and Jun, who were already looking at him.

Aria had no idea he was there. She was still focused on stirring the drink that had just been placed in front of her.

“Hello, Mr. Dominic. Nice to see you,” Harry said suddenly.

Aria narrowed her eyes, confused, while still stirring her drink.

“Dominic?” she asked.

Harry nodded and pointed behind her with a small movement of his head.

Aria quickly turned around.

A scream nearly escaped her.

She had not even fully lifted her head, but the scent of his perfume had already told her it was him.

Slowly, she raised her head and covered her mouth with her hand when she saw Dominic standing right in front of her.

“How did you know I was here?” Aria asked in a low voice.

“I do not know. Maybe it is one of my instincts as your husband,” Dominic said, putting weight on the word husband as he looked at Harry and Jun.

Harry forced a small smile. Jun, on the other hand, remained calm and did not react to the pressure coming from Dominic at all.

Dominic pulled a chair and sat beside Aria.

“So, what exactly do you both want with my wife?” Dominic asked, stressing the word wife.

“Oh, we just wanted to meet Aria. It just happened that we were..”

“There is no such thing as coincidence when it comes to meeting someone else’s wife,” Dominic said as he cut him off, his eyes fixed on Jun.

Aria struck Dominic’s arm.

“What is wrong with you?” she said.

“What is wrong with you? Meeting other men behind your husband’s back? Not just one, but two at the same time.”

Aria looked at him with clear irritation. She was about to speak, but Jun spoke first.

“I am only here to meet my friend. I do not care if she is your wife or not. I am here as her friend. So you do not need to worry about her leaving you,” Jun said, looking straight at Dominic without backing down.
