Chapter 178
Sienna's pov
Harrison might be nearby.
I'd rather believe Julian is just trying to scare me.
If he wanted to find me, it wouldn't be hard. If he wanted to take me away tonight... I wouldn't have the strength to resist.
But Julian didn't seem to want to get out of the car.
"Go home, it's late."
I saw his gentle smile, and the thought of asking for help immediately vanished.
He looked like he was up to no good.
"Alright, I'm leaving."
I closed the car door and rushed forward, not wanting to think about Julian's hint.
Maybe he really was just trying to scare me.
I lived in the farthest building in the complex, and it took some time to get there.
The farther I walked, the fewer people there were, and I could clearly feel someone behind me.
Someone was definitely following me.
I quickened my pace.
As soon as I sped up, the person behind me started running too.
I ran forward desperately, not daring to look back even when I heard different noises behind me.
"Get lost."
The voice faded away, and I knew no one was chasing me anymore.
I heard a faint, familiar male voice behind me.
Was it him?
It sounded like him, but maybe I was mistaken.
I entered my home, still shaken.
Eleanor saw me sweating and asked with concern, "What happened?"
I shook my head and sat on the couch, holding my forehead. "Harrison might have found me."
It was too coincidental.
I was saved by someone, and that person's voice sounded just like Harrison 's?
I couldn't be sure about other things, but when it came to Harrison , how could I be wrong?
"Did you see him?"
Eleanor immediately sat beside me, holding my trembling hands tightly. "If he saw you, he wouldn't let you go. Are you sure it was him?"
I was speechless.
Yeah, if it really was Harrison , he wouldn't let me leave if he saw me.
That was the one thing that wouldn't change.
It took so much effort for me to escape becausehe would never let me go.
"The voice... it sounded too much like his."
After I spoke those words, a sense of calm washed over me.
Eleanor was much more composed than I was.
"No way, you're just too nervous. Besides, he has a child with another woman now. Why would he come looking for you? He's too proud to ever lower himself to you. You know that. Relax, he won't come."
I felt like she was convincing me.
I had been away from him for so long, so far away. Even if he knew where I was, he wouldn't bother coming to find me, right?
But...
"If it wasn't him, then who was following me tonight?"
At that moment, I felt a chill all over.
Who else would be targeting me?
"You..."
Eleanor shook her head helplessly. "You've been training with Milo for half a year. Why didn't you just beat him up? Don't tell me you were so focused on running that you didn't even see his face."
I felt even more frustrated.
In my panic, I had forgotten something so important.
"I was too scared of being found."
I really didn't need to worry so much.
"It's okay. Even if Harrison did come, Julian wouldn't let him take you. And if worse comes to worst, there's still the Moretti Family."
After calming down, I washed up and went to the bedroom. Willow was already asleep.
She was almost a year old. I checked her birth date on my phone; it was in two weeks.
Coincidentally, Julian had just sent me details about our engagement party.
The date was set for Sunday, which was Willow's birthday.
Julian definitely did that on purpose.
I glanced through the guest list for the birthday party.
All the prominent families in Regal City were invited, including Luna.
It had been a while since I'd seen Luna. I wondered how she was doing.
"Let's go with this guest list."
Julian and I didn't have much to talk about, but after spending so much time together, I was less guarded around him.
I planned to use him, but the longer we were together, the more I started to see him as my real fiancé.
Because he really did take care of everything.
"The show just wrapped up. You can take a break for a while. If you need any resources, just let me know. I'll help you."
I refused without hesitation.
"Let's wait until the show airs and see the audience's reaction. Otherwise, people will say I only get roles because of your resources."
Actually, it wouldn't be wrong to say that.
Now, if I wanted something, I could get it. Everyone would help me get it.
But I didn't want that.
"What's wrong with relying on me? You're talented, and it's only fair for you to get resources."
I didn't tell Julian about Willow's birthday.
The engagement party needed to be grand because I wanted Harrison to know, but I didn't want to put Willow in the spotlight.
The news of the show wrapping up reached the Moretti Family, and Theo immediately asked to meet me. I agreed, but Milo's call right after made me cancel.
"Come by in three days. I need to talk to you."
It had been so long since I talked to him that I wasn't used to his tone.
"How long will it take? I need to meet Theo too."
Milo sounded impatient.
"Then bring him along."
What did I do to annoy him?
Before I could respond, he hung up. I didn't bother calling back and just arranged a meeting with Theo.
Two days later, we met after dinner, mostly chatting in the car.
"You're getting engaged next week? What's going on? Why make it so grand if it's just for show?"
Theo seemed genuinely shocked by my decision.
"I don't understand what you're thinking. Even if you want revenge, why choose Julian? He's dangerous and irrational when he's mad. To him, you're just a pawn. You should be fighting against him, not aligning with him."
I looked out the window, my voice calm. "Yeah, I didn't expect it either. People change, and so do their thoughts. Julian is dangerous, but he's Harrison 's nemesis. I want to stand against Harrison , help his enemies, and destroy everything he cares about."
Talking about Harrison and the past still made me lose control.
How many years had it been? Why was it still like this...
"I've tried to advise you, but you need to take care of yourself. Your life is valuable; the Moretti Family paid a high price to save you. Your life is precious."
I was speechless.
Since being kicked out of the Price family, I hadn't taken care of myself.
"Okay, I won't waste my life."
The Moretti Family gave me a new life.
I would cherish it.
At the training camp, Milo coldly led us to the lounge.
He glanced at me, dissatisfied. "Where's Willow? Why didn't you bring her?"
I was speechless. "You didn't tell me to bring her."
