"Well, I'm back up by a rich guy. So what?"Harriet admitted it straightforward.
Irene didn't expect this and soon ridiculed, "Didn't you be embarrassed? It is because someone like you in the entertainment industry make it so complex and dark..."
"Yes?"Harriet said with a grin, "But what if I knew Miss Whitty was the same with me and even stuck with a man more tightly than what I did!"
Irene was a little bit panic, then glared at Harriet, "Nonsense!"
Harriet shrugged and said innocently, "I didn't talk nonsense. I even know the man well! His family is rich and he is my senior in the same film academy."
"It..."After being debunked, Irene didn't know how to refute, staring at Harriet fiercely.
People eyed on Irene with more curiosity.
"Haha, just kidding, how could Miss Whitty be that kind of woman!"Just when the atmosphere was awkward, Harriet suddenly smiled, and patted with her hand on Irene's shoulder, "Miss Whitty, don't take it to heart."
She turned around and left Irene who was standing there with her punched fist.
No matter if Harriet was joking or not, everyone in the cast thought she a lover of someone right now! After all, she had auditioned for this show a few times which was just a disguise.
Harriet originally liked this modern romance drama. She had enough time to familiarize herself with the lines and quickly entered the role since she did not need to be with Eric.
On the contrary, Irene made NG constantly probably because of the conversation they had before. The angry director almost threw his hat on her.
Irene apologized with a smile, and stared angrily on Harriet a few times as like to kill her without notice from others. Harriet smiled and chatted with people as if she hadn't seen her glance.
After a scene was filmed, Harriet went to the bathroom during the break.
When she dried her hands under the dryer, the mobile phone rang.
It was a call from the hospital. Harriet hurriedly answered the phone without drying her hands fully, and asked nervously, "Doctor, is my brother's condition recurring, isn't it?"
"No, Miss Clark. Don't worry. Your brother is in good condition."The doctor comforted Harriet."Are you free this afternoon? He is awake. You can come and see him."
"Really?"
Harriet had suffered a lot during the past two years, hoping her younger brother can soon be recovered. but she got disappointment every time. She even tried to send him abroad for treatment, but did not expect him wake up right now.
The news was so shocking that she was speechless for some minutes.
The doctor repeated the news twice. Harriet finally got her sense and hurriedly ran out, saying, "I'm free now and I will be there soon."
Harriet just thought about the good news and didn't pay attention to her surroundings. She was pushed vigorously from the back, flung forward and bumped her belly against the corner of the table.
A furious pain started in the stomach soon.
Harriet sucked a breath of cold air and found no one was behind when she turn around her head. She did not want to waste more time and left with her belly held by her hand. She urged the driver to go to the hospital when she got on the car.
The collision was a little painful, Harriet was still breathing heavily on the car, Feeling a little wet under the seat, she noticed that there were several dark spots on the purple skirt.
The driver also smelled the bloody scent and couldn't help asking, "Ms Clark, are you in your period?"
"It's okay. Keep driving."Harriet also thought that it was the early menstruation and took a hoodie from the back seat to cover her dress, but the colic in her stomach still made her suffering.
As soon as they arrived, Harriet hurried in the hospital.
She saved a lot of money after she had been with Wesley, providing her younger brother the best attending doctor. Even the ward was the most senior. Three nurses in shifts cared him every day.
Now the brother who had been lying on the bed leaned on the bed in the comfortable VIP ward.
The young man was wearing striped sick clothes, shorted hair and childish face like in his 18 years old. He had pretty dark eyes filled with confusion, trying to figure out where he was.
"Colin."Harriet went into the ward step by step. She saw the young man sitting on the bed with a sense unreality. She considered he would disappear in the next second.
"Who?"Colin Clark turned his head. When he saw Harriet, his eyes blinked, and then he looked pleased and answered in surprise, "Harriet, there you are."
He struggled to get out of bed, but his legs were weak and he couldn't move as he had been in bed for too long time.
