Chapter 31 Chapter 31

Chapter 31 Chapter 31
Draven's POV

"Draven, have you and Amil thought about baby names yet?" Mael asked as we hauled back our kill after checking the borders. The ash-like snow has stopped, for now at least.

"We decided to let him decide the names. Since he's the one carrying them." One thing I found out about Mael, is that he's fated to a light elf omega. Light elf omega men are extremely rare and they had their first child six months ago, a little girl named Orla.

I like that name for a girl, it's pretty.

"Yari chose the names for our sons. I am not too good with names, so having him choose was the best idea." Thiago said. His ancient Nigerian accent is thick as he speaks.

Being a leopard shifter, he was able to help Mael and Zephrin, who is Yari's brother, scout out the area in the forest.

Lord Sirius hasn't come back yet, and many of the soldiers have brought their fated partners and children into the barracks due to being apart for so long.

"You had triplets, right?" I ask him.

He nods, his braided black hair is all bunched together in a large rubber band to keep them from flying everywhere. His black skin is decorated in gold prints from his fur.

"Yes, three little boys that are as rambunctious as they get. I have a feeling they will all be Alpha's, but only time will tell." He smiles and chuckles.

"Three? Does Yari take care of them by himself most of the time?" Zephrin asks curiously.

"Oh no. If I let him do it by himself, his beautiful chestnut brown hair would turn grey. It is my job as his Alpha to help him with our cubs. As it is in my nature to take care of my mate and cubs."

"Same here, Eryx would be angry with me if I made him take care of Orla all by himself. Plus, we would not be men if we let our mates take care of everything on their own."

We all chuckle, "That is true. Leander, Arkin how are you fairing with your cubs?" Thiago asks the lion shifter and storm elf.

"Remus and I are doing the best we can with our twins. Having two boys is harder than we thought." Leander answers with a sheepish smile. His lion ears poking out of his dirty blonde, spiky hair.

"Lukan is only three months old, so Orion and I haven't had any trouble yet. He's a quiet little thing." Arkin says right as Xander and Ziven walk up to us from the barracks.

Ziven is a panther shifter, and apparently fated to Atreus, who is still coming to terms that he's fated to someone. It's not that he doesn't like Ziven, he just thought he would never be fated to anyone.

Same with Xander, he didn't think he would be fated to anyone either. I guess, Silas did quite the emotional number on all of us.

"Draven, I need to talk to you," Xander's tone makes me feel uneasy and the look in his red eyes tells me he's ready to kill.

I nod for the other guys to go ahead so I can talk to my brother.

When they're out of earshot, I look at my brother after making sure they're gone. "What did he do now?"

"He threatened Atreus. Saying if he doesn't go back home, he'll find and kill his fated Alpha. He also threatened to find and kill my fated omega. We need to stop him. Atreus is holed up in his room and won't come out."

Shit. Just when things had started to calm down too. Fuck.

I sigh while rubbing my face before running them through my hair. "Has he said anything else about me and Amil?" I need to know.

"He, said he doesn't care that he's pregnant. If you don't leave him, he'll kill him. I'm pissed, I want blood. He threatened what is mine and I won't let him take this one chance I have to be happy for once in my life, away from me."

"Now you know how I feel. When Villain Alpha's like us have someone to protect, we get possessive. It's worse for me now because Amil is carrying my child. I won't let him anywhere near Silas even if he begs."

"I am sorry, for what I said last month. Silas, made us his minions. I won't let it happen again. I can't."

"Neither of us can. He will only get angrier. knowing that he can't control us anymore."

"We, really give Villains a bad name, don't we?"

"No, what we are, are Villains. What Silas is, he's beyond that. He's gone so far into the dark there is no saving him even if he wanted to be saved, and I doubt that he does."

Xander nods, looking around us, searching for something and I do the same. Something suddenly feels off, like we're being watched.

"Has, Silas ever erased your memories?" I ask after a moment of silence. We both summoned our whisperhounds, in hopes they would find whatever it is we can't see.

He pauses, thinking. "Now that I think about it, I think he has. There are, parts of my past I can't remember. I think we should talk to Atreus about it too."

"Let's go back inside. My gut is telling me to stay close to Amil. And I don't plan on not listening to it." I tell him as we search around us one last time before basically running back inside.

I hate feeling like I'm being watched.

"Draven? Are you okay? You look shaken." Amil asks as he walks up to me when Xander and I walk into the common area of the barracks.

"No. I'm not okay. We need to put a barrier around the barracks. One that not even a god can break through. Slias just threatened Atreus, Xander, and me. And Xander and I both felt something watching us while we were out there."

Atreus walks into the room, looking as pale as a ghost. "Silas, he's gone completely insane. Draven, if we put up a barrier, it has to be now."

"What did he say?" Xander asked as Ziven went to our brother and held him.

I don't think I will get used to seeing my brother look like he wants to cry while being held by someone who looks stronger than him.

"He's, going to get us all killed. He said he's coming after Amil. That he doesn't care what Evaine said about the world ending instantly if one or both of them are killed." His voice, was quiet, almost breathless, as he looked at Xander and I.

My blood started to boil and my body heat rose to a blaze. My vision started to turn red as Amil walked up to me and tried to touch my arm but backed away like I had burned him. The fire instantly vanished then, replaced by worry that I hurt Amil, again.

"I'm sorry, I didn't, are you okay?" I looked at his hands, watching as blisters formed on his fingers while stumbling over my words.
