Chapter 84 Not the Hazel they knew
Zariel stayed quiet for a while before a smile appeared on his face and he raised his hand, surrendering.
“It's okay, you can go”.
He said and Hazel began to leave with Kael behind her.
“But just know…”
He spoke again, causing them to pause.
“… you will not win, if you keep acting like this”.
The smile on his face was completely gone now and he had a look so serious, Hazel could tell he meant every word.
“You expect me to leave my child in the hands of that crazy monster, just because I might not win?
How long do I have to keep approaching every situation with doubts of winning”?
Hazel looked exhausted, she looked like she was tired of the back and forth.
She was tired of everyone always telling her she couldn't do it or she wasn't ready.
And now, they were even saying it to her when her son was possibly in great danger.
“I don't care if I win or not, I'm definitely not going to let my son remain with Rave and just sit here, doing nothing and waiting till you think I'm ready”.
Zariel sighed, he could tell she was frustrated, he knew where she was coming from but he also knew that jumping to the fire would only leave her burnt.
“I'm not trying to stop you from saving your child Hazel, I'm only trying to help you”.
He explained but she shook her head.
“The only way you can help me right now is by finding my son.
Any other help is worthless and unneeded”.
She said and without waiting for him to speak again, she walked out.
Kael didn't follow her immediately and looked at Zariel instead.
“I know you're trying to help her.
This is all new to me as well but I think we need help her in a way that will not aggravate her”.
He said and Zariel nodded.
“I guess we are going to find him”.
They soon rushed after Hazel who had just gotten outside and was about to get into the car.
As soon as she opened the car, Kael closed it back.
She looked at him, her face looked pissed but deep down, she was hoping he wasn't her to stop her as well.
“It'll be faster if we shift”.
He said and she exhaled heavily before she nodded.
Soon, there were three werewolves standing in close space.
The biggest was Dove, standing tall with her white fur spreading across and looking so clean it almost looked like it was shining.
Her eyes were pure gold as she magnetically stood, looking at all of them gathered around her.
Zach, Kael wolf was an alpha wolf that embodied it's power completely.
He looked extremely huge and fearless.
His eyes glowed and his fur slept beautifully.
Miguel also shifted into a black wolf, one fit for a beta as powerful as himself, one that could scare an entire tribe into hiding.
As soon as he three wolves shifted, Dona rushed out with shorts for the men and a long jacket for Hazel.
“I believe you're going to be needing this when you get there”.
She said and handed them over to Zariel who simply nodded before spreading out his wings. Wings no one knew he had.
As soon as the three werewolves took off, he also took off into the sky as he followed them as quickly as he could.
Hazel was leading by a distance but she wasn't too far for them to get lost.
Soon, they got to a deep part in the forest and just as Hazel had seen in Raina's memories, there was indeed a building.
One that looked abandoned on the outside but somehow, Hazel could sense incredibly crazy power all around the building.
She moved close, trying to get in but an invisible force suddenly pushed her back.
She didn't stay on the floor for long as she kept looking, wondering how she would get rid of it.
“You shouldn't try to get into someone's house uninvited Hazel".
She turned to the direction where the voice was coming from.
“Where is he”?
She asked and Rave smiled.
“You're so predictable Hazel. I just knew that was the first thing you'd as for”.
She said and moved closer, standing right in front of Hazel. They were so close and the only thing that was separated them was the invisible barrier.
“How about we trade”?
She asked and Hazel looked at her with a brow raised.
“You want the orb”.
As soon as she said that, rave began clapping so loudly.
“Smart!! You're so smart Hazel, I love it”.
She then dropped her hand and gave Hazel a smirk.
“Now that you know, how about you do just that and I give you back your son”.
She said and Hazel began to nod.
She turned to Kael and turned back to her.
“Knowing that you want the orb so much makes me want to keep it away from you even more”.
She said, surprising Rave.
“You do know I have your son with me, don't you”?
She asked and Hazel smiled.
“Of course I do, but I know you need the orb too much to piss me off”.
She said and her eyes glowed gold for a second before it went back to its usual color.
Rave moved back a bit, her eyes were fixed on Hazel as her head shook a bit in disbelief.
“You activated it already. That's why you're like this”.
She said but Hazel said nothing and just tried to calm herself down.
She closed her eyes for a while, it almost felt like she was thinking or meditating for about ten minutes before she suddenly opened her eyes and looked right at Rave.
“Hand Lucian over, and I might let you live… for old times sake”.
She said but Rave chuckled before she began laughing.
“What will you do? You can't even pass through”.
She said and just like that, Hazel took one step further, breaking through the barrier and walking straight to Rave.
