Chapter 162 She Just Went Out for a Walk

Chapter 163: Missing Her Too Much

The little girl looked about three or four years old, with her head down, playing with building blocks.

Aiden's gaze casually swept across the photo, planning to scroll past it immediately.

However, the moment his eyes passed over the little girl's cheek, his movement suddenly froze.

The girl's eyebrows, nose bridge, and eyes that curved when she smiled—why did they look so familiar?

This was clearly a miniature version of Keira.

He sprang up from the floor, enlarged the photo again, and studied every detail of that innocent little face.

Was it an illusion?

Or was it because he missed her so much that he was seeing her shadow in a similar face?

He smiled bitterly, and locked his phone screen.

Forcing himself to calm down.

He must be crazy to have such a ridiculous thought.

The urgent matter was to find her.

He couldn't let any clue slip by.

"Justin." He suddenly thought of Keira's friend, Jessica.

So he called Justin, "Have someone watch Jessica. She and Keira are closest.

If Keira is leaving, she must know about it."

"Yes, Mr. Coleman." Justin agreed.

Just then, Mira's call came in.

"What's going on with that Zoey? She used to be pretty well-behaved, but now she's embarrassed the Coleman family completely. Everyone's laughing at us now.

I told you she couldn't be trusted. She's not even as good as Keira—at least Keira was well-behaved and didn't cause big trouble."

"Mom." Aiden tiredly interrupted her. "There's no Zoey, and no Keira anymore. She's gone. Are you satisfied now?"

"What?" On the other end, Mira's voice shot up sharply, clearly in disbelief.

"Keira left? How dare she! Where could she go? She has nowhere else to turn."

"She really left."

Aiden repeated, and after saying this, without waiting for Mira to say anything more, he hung up directly.

……

The Wilson Villa.

Joshua had just picked up his cup and taken a sip of coffee when his face instantly turned dark.

He spat it all out!

Coffee mixed with a water-soaked, deformed cigarette butt splattered wetly all over his expensive suit.

"Ella!" Joshua exploded in rage, turning to find the culprit.

He saw Ella hiding behind a huge vase, peeking out and making a face at him.

Then she quickly pulled back. When he furiously approached to grab her, she ran out from the other side, stood in front of him, and made another face.

This was just the beginning.

Who told this Joshua to bully her and bully Jessica, too!

Joshua was fuming with anger and raised his hand to strike.

Ella immediately pouted, her eyes instantly turning red, pointing at his nose accusingly,

"If you dare hit me, when my mom finds a job and comes back, I'll tell her you bullied me and have the police arrest you!"

Her eyes were round and somehow made people soften.

Joshua's hand froze in mid-air—hitting wasn't right, not hitting wasn't right either.

A breath stuck in his chest, his face flushed red.

He glared at this mischievous Ella in front of him, who couldn't be hit or scolded, and threatened viciously, "You just wait!"

Ella wasn't scared of him at all. She made an even uglier face and ran off in a flash.

Over the next two days, Joshua either found milk poured in his shoes or discovered bugs in his bed. He was going crazy with anger.

He never imagined that despite his brilliant life, he'd be taken down by Ella!

Just wait, Ella, you wait!

One day, he'd be able to hit her!

A few days later, the paternity test results came out.

Joshua held the freshly issued report, his face turning dark.

The bottom of the report clearly stated "biological paternity excluded."

Jessica stood to the side holding Ella, watching his ever-changing expression, a mocking smile on her lips, looking quite pleased.

"Joshua, see it clearly? Black and white—Ella has nothing to do with you. Are you still going to fight me for her?"

Joshua looked up in disbelief, anger churning in his eyes.

But this DNA test was done by his people—there couldn't be a mistake.

Inexplicably, he felt a trace of loss.

He stared hard at Ella in Jessica's arms, opened his mouth wanting to say something, but ultimately couldn't get a single word out.

After a long while, he gave up.

Woodenly, he pulled out his checkbook from his pocket, signed a check, and gave it to Jessica,

"Take her and get lost. Don't let me see you two again!"

Jessica glanced at the check—it was actually three million dollars.

Not bad, at least it could solve her urgent problems.

"Sure thing, Joshua, I'm leaving right now."

She carried Ella and quickly walked toward a taxi parked outside, which she had just called.

Ella lay on her shoulder, waving her little hand toward Joshua, her little face full of smiles.

That profile was caught perfectly by someone in a black sedan parked on the roadside in the distance.

In the car, Justin, in the passenger seat, turned back to report in a low voice to Aiden, who was resting with his eyes closed in the back seat,

"Mr. Coleman, Jessica came out holding a girl and got in a taxi."

"Keep following." Aiden didn't open his eyes, giving a calm order.

Afterward, Aiden drove back to The Coleman Estate, wanting some time alone.

As soon as he stepped into the main building, he saw two servants carrying a box out of the bedroom, apparently clearing out clutter.

"Stop!" Aiden's face suddenly darkened, shouting sternly, "What are you doing?"

The two servants jumped in fright, quickly put down the box, and explained tremulously,

"Mr. Coleman, Mrs. Coleman ordered it. She said since this room is empty anyway, she wanted to clear out some old furniture that's not being used and redecorate."

"Get out!" Aiden roared angrily. "Who told you to touch anything in here?"

The servants were scared and pale and scrambled away.

Aiden looked at that tightly closed door, his eyes churning with pain.

This was the last place Keira had lived before leaving.

Inside still lingered all traces of her presence.

He would never allow anyone to touch this place.

Just then, his phone rang urgently—it was Mira calling.

"Aiden, come to the hospital quickly!" Mira's voice trembled. "Dashiell woke up. He says he wants to see you, right now!"

Dashiell, awake?

Aiden's pupils suddenly contracted.

This name he had deliberately forgotten burst into his mind so unexpectedly, throwing all his thoughts into chaos.

"Got it. I'll be right there." His voice hoarse, he hung up and turned to leave.

After all, what had to be faced still had to be faced.

In the hospital VIP ward, the air was filled with the smell of disinfectant.

On the bed, a thin, pale man whose features were seventy to eighty percent similar to Aiden's slowly opened his eyes.

It was Dashiell.

His gaze was unfocused, taking a long time to adjust to the light.

Finally, his eyes focused on Aiden, who stood at the foot of the bed with a cold, stern expression.
