Chapter 42 Forty two
"Thanks" Alexa said and he nodded, before getting into his car and driving off.
Alexa walked into the house and was shocked to meet Louisa sitting in her living room.
"You should have admitted to the truth." Louisa said.
"Mom, not tonight."
"Not tonight, then when? He might not be your husband but he is the father to the kids."
"Liam admitted it,okay? Liam said yes, they were his kids. What else do you want from me?" She shot.
"I knew this was going to happen when you said you wanted to divorce Liam five years ago."
"Mom, what is your problem?!" Alexandra screamed her face reddening as she sniffed and cleaned a stray tear that escaped from her eyes.
"It's my life." She suddenly said as calm as she could speak, "And I'm having the worst day as it is. The Liam you want me to get back with is still entangled with his girlfriend. Leave them, okay? I don't want anything to do with him, so...."
Louisa scoffed a little and turned the TV off, before picking her bag and walked past Alexandra.
"Just know it's not only you who have a choice in this matter. The kids are there too." She said and walked out of the house finally. Through the window, Alexandra saw her mother's car drive out of the compound and she finally broke down, tears rushing out of her eyes.
She was a mess, she was a total mess. Why couldn't she just be as perfect as she was before she came back here? She thought she had been strong, strong enough to get past the devices of Liam and Stella, but day by day, she was breaking and she didn't know why. She was weak even when she thought she was so strong.
He had told her they broke up, she had rushed to keep him from begging Stella on her behalf. She wanted him to keep his pride intact in from of his ex but what she had forgotten was that she had lost to Stella before, and it can happen once again.

"Why isn't she picking up?" Cassidy tapped her feet on the ground softly when she suddenly saw the paparazzi get frenzy. The rush towards the door made her move backwards consciously. Her leg suddenly hit something and her eyes widened as she fell backwards, hitting her head, softly on something.
While she lay on the ground, Cassidy saw the head of a man block her view. He smirked, a cocky one as he looked at her and she realized that her head was on his foot.
Cassidy bit her lips as she got up immediately, "If you saw me falling, couldn't you catch me?" She shot.
"I didn't want too."
"What if I hit my head and died?"
"You didn't." He shrugged and Cassidy scoffed lightly, "I still helped you, Cassy, your head landed on my foot."
"That's nothing!" She shot, before realizing, "How do you know my name?" She suddenly asked and he smirked and that was when she realized that he was her one night stand. The one who called her once in every three days. The creep.
"Don't tell me you stalked me to this place?" She asked.
"Yes and no. But since you are out, let's go somewhere." He pulled her hand tightly and dragged her along with him.
"What-" Cassidy tried to say but she was already pulled along. She shook her body uncomfortably in his sports car and raised her brow at him.
"Where are you taking me to?" She asked and he glanced at her.
"Why?"
"I'm uncomfortable." She said.
"I don't think so. You look very comfortable for someone who is following a man she doesn't know to where she doesn't know." He said.
"I'm not the kind of girl you'd kidnap." She said nonchalantly.
"Says who?" He asked, his face darkening and she blinked.
"You are exactly the kind of girl I'll take." He said and she took note of the word 'take' and not 'kidnap.'
"Do you think I'm the kind of girl you'd take?" She asked.
"Why not?"
"I don't give myself to anyone I don't want. You can't take me without my permission." She smirked.
"Is that what we are doing now?" He asked and turned to her, while still driving with just a hand.
"Look at the road." Cassidy panicked.
"If we die, we die together." He said and she gulped, keeping her own eyes on the road for life's sake.
"Are you scared? You look like you would die." He said and she blinked rapidly.
"Me? I look like....you are crazy." She hissed out and a laugh in-between normal and guttural left his lips.
Cassidy cringed.
"What was that?"
"You are funny." He said.
He scared her.
Right from when he always called her on the phone, she blocked him a lot of times but he always found means to do that and once she changed her contact but the motherfvcking creep had still called and now, he looked and laughed like that.
"You, who are you?" She summoned the courage to ask.
"Me?" He smirked again, before turning into the car park and stopped there.
"Why did you take me to a restaurant?" She asked.
"I wanted to have dinner with you, it's been on my mind." He said.
"You should ask me first before you take me for dinner!" She shot and he turned to her.
"Sadly, your opinions don't count for now. At least, until you get used to me." He said and all colour drained from her face as he left the car.
"Who is this psychopath?" Cassidy couldn't believe her eyes and ears...and her legs, because she stepped out of the car and followed him into the restaurant.
"Did you rent it out for the day?"
"Money shouldn't be spent uselessly." He gave a reply that made Cassidy roll her eyes.
"Then why is it empty?" She asked.
"Because I have a lot of money which I can spend uselessly."
"What...the hell are you saying?"
"Choose the menu." He replied and pushed the menu towards her. Cassidy presses her lips tightly as she picked whatever she wanted and then checked her phone, Alexandra had still not called back.
"We have to go back quickly. Alexandra is getting an award tonight." She had totally forgotten.
"She got it already." He said and her eyes widened.
"Shit." She groaned as she suddenly got up and he pulled her down.
"Check the news. If my brain is intact, I believe your friend wants to be left alone."
Cassidy scrolled through the news and her eyes stopped at the one which took Alexandra's and Liam's picture. It refreshed and suddenly all the news were about them.
"What's...what's going on?" Cassidy's voice shook and he collected the phone from her hand, dropping the phone into his jacket pocket.
"Eat." He said roughly.
