Ian was quite stunned by Lilian display, she had never been his bold before him, his mind was disturbed as he broke off the kiss.
"What has gotten into you" he asked and the piercing eyes staring at them continued.
Diane had felt a sudden spur of anger in her heart following Lilian's actions, she wondered why she felt this way, as they kissed it was almost as if she could feel it.
'Was that it?' She asked inwardly, she could understand why Ian had insisted on Luke's presence in the pack.
"I am going to be your wife and the future Luna of this pack, it's only cordial you get used to this things" Diane could hear their tiny argument.
"Even if I marry you I can't promise you my heart" Ian sighed.
"At least you are not speaking against our marriage and that is everything to me" she smiled.
"The moon goddess must have chosen my name for me because without 'Ian' I'm just Lil, incomplete" she said cheesily and Logan scoffed.
"You did not even notice your brother" he said.
"You are not my bethrothed, hmph" she joked and she and Logan laughed but Ian focused on one thing or rather one person.
Lilian followed Ian's trail of sight and her eyes fell on Diane, striken by her beauty and the way the Alpha stared at her, she askes her brother.
"Who is she?"
Logan could not answer the question.
He was about to talk when Ian deadpanned.
"She is..." Ian paused
"... not important"
"Since I am going to be the Luna of this pack as well as this household, you all should bow in my respect" she said loudly, shocking both Logan and Ian who did well enough to hide their surprise.
'Proud, just like her family'
Everybody bowed their head except Diane and this Infuriated Lilian.
"You" she said pointing at Diane
"Why did you not bow?" She asked agitated.
"You are the future.." She paused weighing her next word.
".. Luna.." The word caused a tiny pang in her chest, it was her position afterall.
".. of this pack not mine" she finally concluded.
"Who are you?" Lilian asked angrier now.
"Bow" Ian's authoritative voice like a cold wind blew.
"To mere mortal?" She asked.
"I bow not before gods, you are only but a tiny woman" Diane scoffed, Lilian acted impulsively and landed a hit on Diane's face.
"Who the hell do you think you are" she swore.
Diane felt the urge to hit back but she saved it.
"Um.. I am the Alpha's.." She paused weighing turning to glance at Ian a smile plastered on her bruised face.
"Mistress" she said brushing past Lilian fearlessly.
"Stop" Lilian ordered but she was in no mood to comply.
She went up the stairs a bruised face and a soul that sought escape, entering her room she shut the fixed doors and locked it.
"He is bethrothed too" she said out loud to the walls.
"That crazy bastard" she cursed, she looked out the windows cursing underneath her breath when a crazy idea came to mind, she quickly undressed and tucked her gown around her waist before shape shifting into her wolf after which she jumped out of the window.
It was the day of the full moon night which meant she would be at her most powerful, so she might as well be thoughtless.
The speed with which she launched down was untraceable, it was like a tiny breeze dancing on the skin of the guard wolves she had run past, only a figure of a wolf could be made out, and this they reported to Ian.
Ian rushed to her room using a spare key to open the empty room, he looked at the window side, he could see a bit of wolf fur and trace of blood.
He rushed out of the room angry.
Just then Lilian came to meet him.
"Ian" she called out but he did not look at her let alone reply her, she had never seem him this distraught in all her years of watching over him, she ruled the issue out as extremely important and decided to rest but her mind stayed troubled.
"Logan" Ian had called out.
"If I do not get back before dawn, make way for bringing war upon the Red Moon pack and start by burning down Diane's house" he ordered coldly, before shifting into his wolf and running out of the villa.
Diane had ran with a speed almost the same as light and soon enough she was on familiar grounds, the boundary that divided two warring packs, the boundary where the division of her life started, she shifted back to her human form and put back on her clothes walking into the Red moon pack with teared up eyes.
There was only one person on her mind, there was only one person possessing her thoughts, there was only one person who wouldn't lead her astray. Her Mom.
She half walked- half ruined to her house ever so eager to seeing her Mom, she wished she could go far back in time, walking back to her house now she realised that she would had gone through any of what she went through if she had gone home instead of wondering in the forest path, that the story would never had began if she went home, and now that it was too late to go home, she chose to.
Getting to the villa many people were stunned to see her. The guards paid respect as well as pity her as she walked in.
A group of maid approached asking to prepare her bath but she didn't reply them she only needed to see one person, to hear one person voice.
"Where is my mother?" She asked breathing slowly, she knew she did not have time, Ian must had found out that she was gone and she had not forgotten the contents of Ian threat letter when he had forced her into their unholy matrimony.
She wandered about in search of her Mom until she found herself in her mother's room, she looked around the empty room for a while when an extremely familiar voice beaconed on her.
"Diane?"
She turned around with tear filled eyes.
"Mom"
