RECAP
Pick up the call.” Rose nudged Olive who shook her head firmly and said,
“No way, you pick up the call. It can be a call bomb or something.” She said stepping back as Rose grunted in frustration.
“Come on, seriously. This is not the time for games. You have to pick up the call. I bet it is a friend.” She coaxed but Olive remained adamant.
“Well I do not know of any Angela. Just Anya and Hazel. If you know it is a friend, why don’t you pick it up.” She said nudging Rose back.
“Because….you know what, this is childish. The call will cut any second. I will pick it.” She said as she reached for the phone, doubt flashed through her mind but she quickly shook it away. She couldn’t afford to get cold feet now. Her friend’s life was on the line.
Rose cleared her throat and picked the call. She could hear deep breathing coming out from the other end, and also a woman humming before realizing that the call was picked. She heard some scuffle in the background or static like noise. She was probably picking up her own phone.
“Hello Casita.Sorry I was busy cleaning. I just called to let you know that I will be coming for the laundry today. I hope there is nothing….”. This wasn’t an enemy, this was….wait, laundry…cleaning? This was the house of a house keeper or worse…a nanny. Why would Casita need a nanny. What the hell is going on here. She was so lost in her thoughts that she forgot that the woman was still speaking and she hadn’t gotten a word of what she had said,
“Hello? Casita….are you still there? Hello?” Angela called out loud as Olive tapped on Rose bringing her back to the present as she cleared her throat again and replied
“Actually Madam, I am Rose and I am afraid that I have some bad news about Casita.” Rose said clutching the phone tightly as Olive strained to hear the conversation also. She didn’t want to be left in the dark any longer. She always knew that Casita lied about some things and now that she is kidnapped, she is greatly worried about the extent of how big her lies were. What could some mafia lords possibly have with her friend? What did she do to step on the toes of the 4 most greatest mafia lords.
“Who is this. And why do you have Casita’s private line?” Angela asked agitated as she went into protective nanny mode. Casita had hidden Angela from Olive and Jess and anytime that Angela wanted to come over, Casita told her to call her first to see if the coast was clear. She didn’t know the answer to give to her roommates why she needed a nanny, especially after telling them she was an orphan.
“We are supposed to be asking you that question…ma? We are her roommates and we do not know of a friend called Angela.”
“That is because I am not a friend. I am her house keeper and I keep an eye on her. So tell me where is Casita? I demand to speak with her at once.” She said angrily as Rose gulped and handed the phone to Olive to take care of this. Olive gulped too as she said,
“Oh hi, dear. This is Rose….oh I mean Olive, Casita’s friend. The thing is, like my friend was trying to say, there is something going on. Casita has been kidnapped by some unknown people.” She said as there was a shriek coming from the other end as Olive whined as she pulled the phone from her ears and mourned her beautiful ears.
“What do you mean by she is kidnapped. This is not April’s fools day so you better not be playing a quick one on me.” Angela commented as Olive sighed and said,
“I wish we were indeed playing a quick one on you, but we are not. Casita was kidnapped from work and later some goons came here and ransacked the whole place, beating me up in the process and they also left a message.” Olive said as Angela contained her emotions and said,
“What message? Tell me everything they said.” She asked, as Olive looked at Rose who nodded her head and gave her the thumbs up to continue.
“Well they told me to tell someone called Black that they have Casita and he should come and save her. But Casita is an orphan so they got the wrong person.” She said as Angela quickly understood what was happening.
“Dear, I know you girls are very shaken up by this but Casita is not an orphan or who you think she is.” Angela said trying to make things clear but it just brought more questions. She placed the call on loudspeaker so that Rose could hear what she was hearing too.
“Wait what? What are you talking about? Casita isn’t who we think she is? Then who is Casita then? Are you her mum?” Rose asked as Casita chuckled a bit despite the distress situation and said,
“Well I always thought of myself as her mother but in this case, I am not her mum. Like I said before I am her nanny. Casita is the daughter of the late multi Billionaire Mr. Black Snr, and her mother is Mrs Selena, the world class philanthropist and she is also the sister of the number 1 CEO of Black’s Co-operation Industries and I shouldn’t be saying this but he is also the number 1 Mafia Lord in the list.” She announced as their mouths dropped open hearing this.
“Their friend….was a Mafia Princess?” Casita? That seemed preposterous but deep down they knew that the lady wasn’t lying. They did see it, the way she heard herself like a high class lady, how she was always so well versed in the world of politics and how she could explain anything that goes on in high class parties.
“But if she is a mafia princess? Why does she work in a restaurant or act poor, or even friends with us?” Rose asked but Angela just shook her head and replied,
“I am afraid that the only person that can answer this question is Casita herself. It was her choice, I guess.” Angela added with a shrug before she went back to business.
“Was there anything that the kidnappers sent to you? An address? A location? Time? Clip?” Angela asked as Olive replied.
“Yes, they sent me a video clip of them holding her hostage. I will forward it to you right now.” She said as Rose grabbed her other phone from the couch for her.
“Please do so. I have to inform Mr. Black right away about what is happening. Hold this phone at all times, I will call back once I new further information. Thank you for everything that you two had done.” She said before cutting the call.
“Done.” Rose announced as she waved the phone in the air. She had sent the clip to Angela so they would know where to start from.
“Can you believe what we just heard about Casita?” Olive asked as Rose nodded her head.
“Although I don’t want to believe it, but it is the only thing that makes sense. She had to be someone very important to have to been have abducted by mafias and her brother is the top of the list. That makes her a pretty big target. Still it was quite daring for her to live life like us average people when knowing this type of things was definitely going to happen.”
“Now I understand why Casita always said, back in the orphanage, she felt suffocated as she was not allowed any freedom and was made to go with people all the time. That was why she ran away for some freedom.” Olive said as Rose nodded her head.
“Yes the orphanage actually meant her life back home, OMG, I can’t believe I had been sleeping with a royal. Once she gets rescued, I am going to make sure that I spank her so hard for all this lies all this time.” She said angrily.
“Do you think we should tell Nycole that Casita is missing? He was supposed to come around today but he hadn’t shown up yet. Probably on his way here to figure out why his dear crush had been avoiding his call?” She said with a giggle as Rose held Olive’s hand and said,
“What would you do if you found out that Nycole also had some secrets of his own, just like Casita. He could be related to someone rich or something. There is a lot of secrets that is going on around here after all.” She said as Olive hit her head gently and said,
“We are not in a fucking novel, Rose. Stop looking for plot twists and help me arrange here already.” She said standing up from the chair leaving Rose all alone with a big pout on her face.
