Chapter 110 Aria Is Not That Kind of Person

Chapter 110 Aria Is Not That Kind of Person

As soon as Lucy heard what the police said, she rushed forward and anxiously tried to explain to them, "Officers, this really has nothing to do with us. We specifically checked the venue yesterday, and the crystal chandelier was perfectly fine..."

Aria, worried that Lucy might act impulsively, reached out to stop her and said gently, "Lucy, they'll investigate the facts. It's okay. Contact Lance and Summer."

Lucy bit her lip slightly at Aria's words, feeling somewhat unwilling, but afraid of causing trouble for Aria. In the end, she could only nod lightly, "Okay."

Seeing that Lucy understood her meaning, Aria nodded gently and continued, "Find all the staff members who participated in setting up the wedding venue and have them cooperate with the officers to give their statements."

"Okay."

Seeing Aria being so cooperative, the officers' attitude softened a bit. They nodded lightly, "Ms. Hall, don't worry. We won't wrongly accuse innocent people. Once the investigation results are out, we'll give Ms. Hall justice."

Aria just nodded lightly with a calm expression, "Thank you, officers."

After Aria left with two officers, the remaining two stayed at the studio to take statements from the staff.

After arriving at the police station, the officer in charge of the case came over to greet Aria.

"Hello, Ms. Hall. I'm the lead investigator for this accident. My name is Young."

Aria nodded lightly, "Hello, Officer Young."

Officer Young nodded in acknowledgment, "Here's the situation - I have a few questions to ask you. Don't be nervous, just tell us everything you know."

"Okay."

"What's your relationship with today's groom, Arthur?"

"Legally, we're married."

"You haven't filed for divorce yet?"

The police could easily find this out, but they still needed to ask Aria as part of the routine questioning.

It was precisely because they found this out that they felt Aria couldn't be uninvolved in this matter.

Aria was very straightforward, "That's right. I once gave him divorce papers, but he didn't sign them."

Aria's answer was unexpected to the police. The two officers in the room exchanged glances and quickly composed themselves, recording the information in their notes.

"Why didn't he agree? He was going to marry Miss Sophie, wasn't he? That would be bigamy."

Aria remained very calm, "As for why he didn't agree, Officer Young should ask Arthur himself. He would know better."

"Then why did you take on this project?"

"This project was introduced to me by my friend, Mr. Monroe. Initially, I didn't know it was for their wedding venue. I only found out later. After learning it was their wedding venue, I handed the entire project over to my studio staff."

Officer Young then asked several more questions, which Aria answered honestly.

"Why did you appear at the wedding venue today? As far as we know, you weren't on the guest list."

Aria sighed lightly, "Today, I wanted to get some evidence of Arthur's affair. I want to file for divorce."

Officer Young frowned slightly, "Do you resent Miss Sophie?"

Aria asked back, "Why would I resent her?"

"Given your marital situation, she's the other woman. As the legal wife, don't you resent her?"

"If this had happened three years ago, that would be true. But now I don't have the same love for Arthur that I had before. Since I don't love him, why would I need to resent another woman? I only want to do one thing - get divorced."

Aria was very straightforward, showing no signs of lying. After Officer Young recorded all her statements, he nodded faintly, "Alright, we understand what you mean. For the next few days, I'm afraid we'll have to trouble you to stay at the police station."

Aria frowned, "Until when?"

"Until the matter is investigated clearly."

"Officer Young, you need to give me a timeframe, right? If you never find any results, do I have to stay here forever?"

Officer Young nodded, "It'll be quick. We'll have the results within the next few days."

"Alright then, I can contact my lawyer, right?"

"Yes."

"Okay."

Hospital.

When Arthur came out of the emergency room, the anesthesia hadn't worn off yet.

After the anesthesia wore off, Elizabeth and Sophie rushed forward.

Elizabeth asked anxiously, "Arthur, are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere?"

Sophie was very apologetic, "Arthur, this is all because of me."

Arthur's gaze swept over the two of them, then focused on the space behind them. He spoke hoarsely, "Where's Aria?"

As soon as Arthur spoke, both Elizabeth's and Sophie's expressions changed. Elizabeth instinctively looked at Sophie, and seeing her face turn ugly, cleared her throat to change the subject. But Sophie spoke up, "She should be cooperating with the police investigation."

Arthur's pupils suddenly contracted. He tried to sit up but seemed powerless, "Why?"

Sophie sighed lightly, "The police are investigating today's incident. They think it might be related to Ms. Hall."

Arthur immediately denied it, "How could that be? This has nothing to do with her."

Sophie watched Arthur defend Aria so unconditionally, and a shadow flashed through her eyes before disappearing. She said considerately, "I don't want to believe this has anything to do with her either. We'll have to wait for the police to investigate before we know."

When Arthur was about to say something more, Elizabeth interrupted him at the right moment, "Alright Arthur, you just woke up. You should rest more. Someone will handle these matters."

Arthur had recovered somewhat from the anesthesia by now. After meeting Elizabeth's gaze, he took a deep breath and nodded, "Okay."

Only then did Elizabeth turn to Sophie, "Sophie, I'll watch over Arthur. You should go back and rest, and change your clothes.

Also, you need to explain the situation to your guests to prevent any misinformation from spreading."

Sophie knew full well that Elizabeth was trying to send her away, but she also had more important things to do, so she didn't expose Elizabeth's intentions. She nodded lightly, "Okay, I should also call my dad to tell him about this."

Elizabeth nodded, "Yes."

Sophie looked at Arthur, "Arthur, rest well. I'll come back later."

"Okay."

After Sophie left, Arthur immediately locked his gaze on Elizabeth and said urgently, "Mom, what's going on?"

Elizabeth told Arthur what had happened.

After listening to Elizabeth's account, Arthur frowned tightly and said calmly, "Mom, Aria isn't that kind of person. She wouldn't be cruel enough to do this."

"I know she's not that kind of person either, but right now we need evidence. Do you have evidence to prove it?"
