Where Is There Left To Run?
Where Is There Left To Run?
Eliza took a deep breath looking around the room. It was just as run down as it had been, if not more so. The white cloth that had once been on the couch was now covering an old family portrait of Vivian and her children. Which honestly made the place feel less cold. It still didn't stop the chill that ran up her spine as a breeze blew by.
She didn't regret coming back. She just hoped she wouldn't have to stay long. There was already a cold pit of dread settling itself in her stomach as she pushed her way through the nearby door to the parlor. Old money at work. Though most of the furniture here was broke or too run down to matter. Still, it seemed pointless to her having so many room when you lived alone.
She only stopped moving when she heard footsteps outside of the door. She wasn't sure what she expected really. These kids were probably wary enough to be following her. Well at least one of them was. It was pointless in hiding though. Which was why she approached the door, her hand reaching out to twist the iron doorknob of the old oak door.

"I wouldn't be upset if you did go y'know?" Tracy spoke up. They'd finished gathering what they needed and she could hold her own. Besides what were the chances Vivian would come after her?
"The only way I'm gonna go anywhere is if you come with me. Alex told me to stay with you. It's not safe to go alone anyways," Sam peeked out the door to see if anyone was nearby. He didn't want to leave her. And he wasn't entirely sure they'd be safe if they decided to go out there. They didn't even know what way Alex had went. They'd be going out there blind.
"Well maybe we can go and try to find him. He's not safe alone either," Tracy got to her feet, slinging the bag over her shoulder. She didn't feel good leaving Alex out there on his own. He'd gone off looking for the people who'd snuck in. They were strangers and for all they knew they were dangerous. Therefore she wasn't going to drop the subject.
Sam looked back at her and sighed. "Fine but we go quietly and we stick together. Don't go off on your own," Sam opened the door quietly. He was worried about Alex and he saw the determination in Tracy's eyes. He'd rather not argue when he knew he was gonna lose anyways.

Alex took a few steps back when the door on his left swung open with a loud creak. He didn't know why he was surprised he had heard the footsteps. What surprised him more though was that the person who'd technically broken in was a girl not much older than they were.
"Who are you?" Alex asked, his voice surprisingly steady. He hoped this lady hadn't come here for a fight. He was dead certain he would lose.
"I'm Eliza. You must be one of her new victims," The girl, Eliza, took a few steps towards him. She seemed pretty harmless. Except for the gun in her hip holster.
"You're not here to hurt me or the others right?" Alex knew it was probably a stupid question. But you can never really trust someone. He knew who she was though. She was the one who'd survived. He had so many questions he wanted to ask her. How she got out, why no one else knew about this, how she managed to get back here. But sadly they didn't have the time.
"No. This was just to get Julia moving. Where are the others? I was hoping to get in and get all of us out as fast as possible," Eliza closed the door to the old room behind her. Alex couldn't tell what it was considering he'd barely got to see the inside of it.
"I don't entirely know. I know where 2 of them are. We got split up in the commotion," Alex tugged at the sleeve of his hoodie before heading back towards Beatrices room. Even if Sam and Tracy left the room they'd probably still bump into each other on the way.

"Ugh! There's nothing here." Courtney huffed as they finished their check of the first floor. The only accessible exits were the front door and the back door. And who's to say Vivian wouldn't come out of nowhere.
"Now can we double back?" Luke reach for her shoulder to turn her around. He knew she was frustrated. Not just at the situation but at herself. Though he didn't know how to exactly get to her. She seemed so guarded at the moment.
"Fine. Well do it your way," Courtney jerked just out of reach of Luke's hand before heading back the way they'd came. She knew it seemed rude but she was tired of all of this. She didn't do paranormal. She proffered the easily explained stuff. Not whatever nightmare Vivian was.
