Chapter 11
“Lord Eren." David, my commander called as he knocked.
“Whatever message you have for me, Come back later!" I yelled before returning my glance to the ladies by my side. Trisha and Tara.
“Okay ladies, where were we?" I whispered while they giggled. Trisha ran her fingers along my hairy chest while Tara briskly locked lips with mine. Our tongues intertwining while Trisha trailed downwards to my crotch.
“Lord Eren." David called again but I ignored. There was nothing that would make me postpone my fun at the moment.
“The Lycan and Regent have arrived."
I frowned as I turned sharply to the door.
“Tell them, I'll join them in five." I answered and then briskly alighted from my bed.
“Are you leaving us?" Trisha whined but I paced to my wardrobe, scaling through for just anything.
“I'm sorry baby." I muttered in hurry as I dashed to my mirror.
“It's not fair!" Tara pitched and I couldn't help but turn as I hurriedly wore a fitted black jean.
“This meeting is very important ladies." It was all I could say before returning to the mirror. I wore an ash T-shirt so only my forearm tattoos were visible.
“More important than us?"
“Unfortunately, yes." I mumbled with a tiny smile, admiring my ebony skin. My honey irises seemed to be dull perhaps due to my worries.
“You see, Green is going to wage war on all communities tomorrow onwards. One that has never happened in history,” I said whilst brushing my low-cut hair.
“We heard but I don't see why you of all should be scared. It's not like she can take the remaining three communities on her own." Trisha mumbled nonchalantly.
I chuckled while flash images of Green flooded my head. I love her after all, but I also love my people too. I was struck in a limbo, whether to yield to the request of my crush or rather be the smart leader and save my people.
“Besides, you're the strongest. She should fear you." Tara added but I scoffed.
“You two have no idea how powerful Green is. She's the only person I know that can take me down. So, no." I paused as I faced them.
“I'm not the strongest which is why I'm hoping the remaining two knuckleheads will cooperate with me."
“So, if this meeting doesn't work out, is the supernatural world doomed?" Tara asked with fear hinting faintly in her tone.
“It's going to be every man for himself." I answered before exiting. I walked briskly past the large hallways into the meeting room.
The twin doors opened, and I was instantly welcomed by the stern faces of Damian and Vera. They might look strong on the outside but deep inside they were definitely more worried than I was.
“Thank you both for coming." I uttered as I joined them in the middle, by the circular table.
“You said it was urgent." Damian responded.
I glanced between their faces.
“Yes, it is." I affirmed. I cleared my throat before finding my tongue again.
“Today marks the last day to give Green what she wants and obviously I don't think any of us are going to yield to that request."
They both nodded while their body stiffened.
“Which brings us to one thing. War, one that has never happened in our history before.
We have two options to save ourselves or perhaps minimize the losses." I pursed my lips, hesitating whether the both of them would be welcoming to the idea.
“The first one, we should give Green what she wants."
“Are you mad?" Damian growled with predatory eyes.
“Did you even hear yourself Eren?" Vera questioned with an evident frown. "We should give Green three of the most powerful artifacts in our world? These artifacts are what make us. They're our origins and you know that!"
“We don't even know why she wants them. Perhaps with these three artifacts together she might wipe our race out! Or makes us inferior to Vampires!" Damian continued.
“I don't know about you two, but this option is a no for me," Vera stated.
“I agree." Damian nodded. "Green is nothing but evil and I just can't give her something that could make her more disastrous."
I sighed knowing fully well I was expecting this.
“Well, that leaves us with only one option then."
“And what is it?" he asked.
I gulped down my saliva. "We should join forces."
Damian scoffed while Vera wriggled her head. I rubbed through my head frantically, wondering what nonsense travailed their minds.
“Is that a bad idea?"
“It is," Damian blurted. I frowned. "Everybody has already heard the news war is coming. It is our sacred duty as leaders to protect our respective communities. If we join forces, what do you think the masses would say? They would lose faith in us. They would call us weak. The tension would only be heightened. I'm sure this is what Green wants. To defeat us mentally and physically but No!"
“So, you're saying you can handle her alone?" I queried.
“Yes. Let her come, my wolves and I wouldn't hesitate to rip her apart. No one dares to invade my territory."
“You know, this is the voice of foolishness speaking." I almost growled.
“This is no voice of foolishness. It's the truth. Each of us can handle this war on our own." Vera interjected. "If it comes to it, I wouldn't hesitate in killing her."
I rubbed my head again, trying to contain the anger fueling in me.
“You both know Green is nearly indestructible. We all know what Green is capable of! Just one flip of her fingers and thousands are already dead! Just imagine what would happen if she joined the battlefront. We're so dead!"
“Stop being a coward Eren and be the Dragon Lord that you are." He huffed. My palms almost curled into a fist, but I took deep breath instead. I wasn't going to let the words of a weak man get to me.
“At least I wasn't squeezed by the neck in his own territory," I retorted.
“You—”
“This is not the time for this, boys!" Vera quickly intervened but Damian and I still glared at each other ferociously.
“Yes. We have a lot more to worry than having little fights." I heaved a light sigh.
“I'm asking you both, to drop this ego and foolishness. Let's join forces."
Damian pulled his chair backwards as he arose.
“I have decided. Let Green come if she dares to, I'll kill her with my own hands,” he icily quoted.
“I guess I'll see you when all this charade is over."
He added before exiting the room.
“And you too Vera?" I said, my disappointment evident. "Damian can be quite reckless but how can you support him? The best way to fight is together in harmony."
A tiny smile birthed on her face for a second.
“Damian is right whether you like it or not Eren. He's a Werewolf and their bite is most lethal to Vampires.
I'm a Witch and Vampires are naturally weak to magic. So, with enough determination and strategy, we can win. We can subdue her."
“Vera," I called, holding her gaze. "Green is above all these things."
She arose too.
“Eren, just be optimistic okay. I trust you to survive." She smiled. "I'll take my leave now,” she added before exiting too.
I heaved a heavy sigh as the door closed behind her. This was why Green hated them. They were weak, small minded and illogical in their thinking. And knowing my crush for who she is, she'll probably save me, the strongest for the last.
She was definitely going to attack either Damian or Vera when they least expect tomorrow. Either way, their losses would give me a chance to prepare a plan to tame Green.
I smiled to myself. I could come up with something. A plan that could save the dragon community and also get the infamous Queen on my side.
