The Trump Card Unleashed

The Trump Card Unleashed
Lily was playing loud music as she was driving on her way to school. She looked very happy today. She was humming to the song playing from her audio mark inside her car. It was very loud as she drove to school; even all attention was on her as her car drove into the school compound. People wondered why she was so happy today and why she was playing her music at such a deafening tone. As people watched her, displeased, they couldn't say anything because they knew who Lily was, and no one dared to mess with her.

Immediately, she came down from her car, and she looked at the school building. “Finally, I'm going to take my revenge,” she muttered to herself as she took out her phone from her purse. Then she opened a picture and posted it on the school's blog. “My first trump card. Now my revenge will begin,” she said as she strode towards the school building and entered the school.

Meanwhile, everybody received the blog notification that an anonymous person had just posted on the school blog. Everybody was astonished upon seeing the picture. “Isn't this Isabella? But who could this lecturer be?”

“Wow, Isabella is such a useless girl. I wonder if her parents didn't train her well. Why would she be sleeping with a lecturer? Even with the fact that she and Alex have been seen together. I heard that she and Alex are even engaged, and she even has the guts to be sleeping with a lecturer. That's just rubbish,” a girl said to a friend as they looked at the picture.

Isabella's face was covered in this picture. James was also covered in this picture, and everybody could see clearly that it was none other than their professor James that was with Isabella in the photo. Even though Isabella's face was covered, everybody knew that it was actually her standing in that picture. They started talking about Isabella.

Meanwhile, Isabella didn't know what was going on as she and Trisha drove into the school compound, chatting away, unaware of the chaos. They walked into the school hallway and found themselves in front of Isabella's locker when she heard a girl whispering behind her. As she turned back to look, she waved at the girl, but the girl just looked at her and scoffed.

“Harlot!” she said to her. Isabella was shocked. Why would she call her a harlot? Even Trisha stood there, frozen in place, as the girl just walked out of their presence. Then Isabella noticed that everybody was looking at her, somehow despair showing on their faces.

“What? What is going on in school? Why is everybody looking at me like this?” Trisha turned to Isabella. “Girl, tell me what's going on. Did anything happen overnight? Am I missing out on any gossip? Why is everybody looking at you that way?”

Shaking her head, Isabella replied, “I don't know what's going on. Everything was fine yesterday. Why is everybody looking at me like this now? I wonder what's actually going on, but I don't care. Let's just get to class already before the bell rings,” she said to Trisha as they shrugged it off and headed straight to class.

Upon getting to the classroom, as they entered, all eyes fell on Isabella, and everybody that had been talking kept silent. Immediately, they paved the way for her to pass. It was as if people were avoiding her, as if she were a plague. Then she heard some girls whispering in the corner, but she couldn't clearly hear what they were saying; she just knew that they eyed her and smirked at her.

“What was really going on? Why was everybody in class avoiding her?” Trisha immediately tapped Isabella. “What's going on? Everybody's looking at us with despair. What is happening?” she said to Isabella, who just looked at her, confused.

“Seriously, if you're asking me this, what do you expect me to say? I don't know anything. Everything was fine when we left school yesterday. I don't know what happened overnight,” she said to Trisha as confusion clearly showed on Trisha's face. They didn't know what was going on, and nobody was ready to say anything, so she immediately tapped again.

“I was sitting right in front of her,” but the girl just shouted at her, “What? Don't touch me, you filthy—” she said to Isabella.

“What the heck did you just say? Why did you call me that?” a few girls shouted back at her before she walked out of the class, and Trisha just stood there, shocked. “What was really going on? Why was everybody acting towards her this way?”

She had just arrived at school yesterday after a long time, and everybody had been very happy, eagerly greeting and asking about her health. Now they had all turned their backs on her and were insulting her behind her back. She wondered what was going on but decided to shrug it off. Not wanting to start the day in such a bad mood, she thought to herself as she brought out her phone. But before she could even open her browser, Rachel ran into the class.

“Trisha, Trisha, Trisha! Have you guys seen what is on the school's blog?” she said to Trisha and Isabella as they looked at each other, confused.

“No, I haven't checked my social media today,” Trisha said to Rachel as Rachel looked at Isabella and Trisha, feeling pity for Isabella.

“I'm sorry, Isabella. I don't think I'm in the place to show you this right now, but I just have to since you seem not to know anything that is going on in school,” she said to Isabella as she opened her phone and the school blog.

Immediately, Isabella saw the picture. She was shocked. She couldn't even say anything. She couldn't move as Trisha immediately collected the phone from Rachel. “What the heck is this?” she said, clearly shocked as to who had the audacity to post something like that on the school blog.

“No, no, no, no! Isabella, calm down, please. I know there is only one person in this entire school who would dare to post this, and there is only one person that has this picture. I have seen this picture with Lily before, and she actually threatened me with it. I can't believe that this girl sank so low as to post this picture on the school blog. I know that she is getting her revenge right now.”

Isabella couldn't even move. She couldn't say anything. Now she knew the reason why people acted toward her like that and why that girl just called her a “harlot.” Now everybody in school thinks that she is…. as tears started streaming down her cheeks, she couldn't say anything, and she couldn't move as Trisha immediately gave Rachel's phone back to her and sat beside Isabella.

“Isabella, please, you need to calm down. Don't cry. Let's leave. Maybe we should just take a break from school today. Let's leave right now,” she said.

Isabella didn't even move. She didn't say a word, and Trisha was getting worried. “Please calm down. You know you are just recovering. You can't fall into another coma. Please,” she said to Isabella, but Isabella didn't even respond to her.

Trisha immediately dragged Isabella up, took her bag, and went out of the classroom. Immediately, she thought of going to the library. That would be the only safest place for her to take Isabella now; the library was the only place nobody would be able to torment her, especially with those glaring eyes that classmates were using to look at her now, Trisha thought to herself as Rachel immediately followed closely behind them.
