Chapter 150: A Disapproval
Meanwhile, Lily's driver drove into the parking lot of the hospital, and Lily instructed him to park in a more concealed place where nobody would notice the car. The driver immediately followed her instructions and drove into a more secretive spot. As Lily came down from the car wearing a hood over her head, she walked into the hospital and approached the counter to ask for Isabella's ward.
The nurse asked her who she was and what her relationship with Isabella was. “I’m Isabella's friend and classmate; I just came to check on her,” she replied. The nurse immediately gave her Isabella's ward number. Lily then walked upstairs to look for Isabella's room.
As soon as she located Isabella's ward, she peered through the door and felt very happy seeing Isabella in that state, lying there. “Yes, that’s where you deserve to be, Isabella,” she said to herself, then looked around for security cameras. After scanning the corridor and inside the hospital room, she determined that there were no cameras before she slowly opened the door and walked into Isabella's room.
Meanwhile, the driver, who was sitting and waiting in the car, felt guilty. He knew deep inside that his boss was really going to harm someone inside the hospital. He remembered the wicked smile on her face when she was in the car. He was very sure that she went there to hurt someone. He got out of the car and locked it, walking up to the front counter in the hospital to talk to the nurse.
“Please, did you see a woman walking around here wearing a hood? She was looking for a patient,” he asked.
The nurse replied, “Yes, I just saw a woman wearing a pink hood looking for Isabella, and I gave her the number of her room.”
“Please, you have to send someone or go check for yourself. I think she’s up to something. I think she’s going to hurt that patient,” he insisted.
The nurse felt alarmed and immediately called the security guard, as she was busy and couldn’t leave the counter. She gave him the room number of Isabella, which was room 208. However, the guard misheard her and went to room 206 instead.
As the guard rushed upstairs to look for room 206, he kept searching. Meanwhile, Lily was already inside Isabella's room, gazing at her. “Yes, that’s where you deserve to be, Isabella.
Next time, I hope you don’t dare to cross me and share with me a man that I love. I don’t share my property. I love James a lot, and I’m not going to share him with anybody. I promise you that. I’m going to make your life a living hell. You deserve what you’re getting right now. I just wish you wouldn’t wake up from that bed. I wish I could just strangle you right there and kill you. I wish you would just die. I wonder why you wouldn’t even die even after I poisoned you. You wouldn’t just die. Why, Isabella? Why?”
As she took a pillow from Isabella's leg, planning to strangle her to death, she suddenly saw a figure emerge from the dark. “What do you plan on doing?” James spoke out.
As she heard the voice, she immediately turned to the direction of where it was coming from and saw James standing there. She felt a bit relieved, thinking that someone hadn’t caught her in the act.
“What do you think you are doing? You want to kill her again, right? First, you fed her poison; that wasn’t enough for you. Now she can’t even remember her memories, and she’s lying in that state just because of you, Lily. And now you want to finish the job. You just want to keep her completely down, right?” he said to her, feeling frustrated.
“Move away from her right now before I do something to you that will make you hate me. I promise,” he warned.
Lily looked at him, shocked, tears welling up in her eyes. “Why, James? Why can’t you just love me? Why can’t you just love me and only me? Why Isabella? Why do you have to love Isabella? She even has a fiancé already, and you were ready to be the other man just because you loved her. Why can’t you love me? James, please, I’m just asking you for this one last chance. Just love only me,” she pleaded as tears dripped from her eyes.
James scoffed. “Why would I love her? She has a pure heart, not like you who is very wicked. I can never bring myself to love you,” he replied.
Lily felt a sharp pain due to James’s words. She immediately started crying, her eyes soaked with tears as she couldn’t control them. “Why, Isabella? She doesn’t even remember you. She has a fiancé already. Even with the fact that she has a fiancé and you are the other man in her life, you still won’t stop loving her. Why are you doing this to yourself, James? Just forget about Isabella already. Forget that she ever existed. I’m here for you, and I’m ready to do anything for you. I promise you if you just accept to be with me, I will change your life for good. I’ll ask my dad to help you. Please, just leave Isabella alone, and I promise I will not bother her again if you can just accept to be with me,” she said to him.
“Do you think I’ll believe your words?” he said to Lily. “Do you think I’ll believe that you would not bother Isabella again? Never. I’ll never fall in love with you. You are just a crazy girl spoiled by her father, and there is nothing you can do that will make me love you. Lily, just hear me now. There is nothing you can do that will make me reconsider my decision. Even if I leave this city and leave Isabella alone, I would never ever dream of being with you. You are not even right or fit enough to be with me,” he said to her.
“Why, James? Why do you keep hurting me with your words? Why do you keep saying all those harsh things?” she cried.
“Why wouldn’t I say those harsh things to you? You’re very rude and wicked. I can’t be with a girl like you. You are just crazy, Lily. What you have towards me is not love. It’s just an obsession. You’re crazy, Lily, and I will never ever be with you. Not even in my next life will I imagine being with you,” he said to her.
Meanwhile, James’s phone was beeping a red light in his hand as he held it. He looked as if he was recording everything that Lily was saying while continuing to talk to her.
“Continue talking, Lily, saying all sorts of harsh words to her,” he thought as Lily cried and couldn’t control her tears anymore.
“I hate you, Lily, and nothing will ever make me love you. I hate you,” he repeated.
Lily stopped crying and wiped her tears immediately. She stood up straight and held her chin up. “Fine, James, I have heard you. If you say you hate me, then I’ll make Isabella’s life a living hell. Isabella will continue to suffer the punishment for what she didn’t do. She will suffer your punishment even if I can’t alter it because I love you so much. I’ll make sure Isabella suffers the pain. I’ll hurt her in your place,” she said.
“James, nothing you say or do today will make me ever forgive or forget the harsh words you have said to me. I’ll make Isabella pay tenfold. Yes, I was the one that made her be in this state. Do you know what worse things I can do to her? If that poison had worked correctly, Isabella wouldn’t even be lying there right in front of you. Even if she’s in a vegetative state as she is now and can’t even move and is in a coma right now, I will make her life more ill. I’ll make her undergo more pain until she ends up dying right in your presence. I’ll make sure she dies in your arms. You wouldn’t even be able to talk to her again. She won’t even be able to call out your name, and I’ll make her go through so much pain that you wouldn’t be able or be in the position to help her,” Lily said sarcastically to James, out of frustration.
James just looked at her and smiled. “You would not be able to hurt Isabella. As long as I am here, there is nothing you are going to do to her. I will protect Isabella with my whole life, and there is nothing you can do about that,” James said firmly.
Lily immediately walked out of the hospital room. James already knew that as soon as she came out of prison, she would come to find Isabella. The moment he heard that Lily had already been driven back home and hadn’t even gotten home within that time, he believed that she had gone to see Isabella.
He took a short route to the hospital before she even got there. He hid in a corner, knowing that she would come to Isabella's room sooner or later, and waited for her. He didn’t want to show himself yet and wanted to see what Lily would do to Isabella before he came out of hiding.
As soon as he saw her trying to hold a pillow to Isabella’s face, he immediately walked out and stopped her. If he hadn’t been there, she would have killed Isabella by now. Thank God he found out that she hadn’t gotten home despite leaving the court a long time ago, he thought to himself as he watched Lily walk out of the hospital room. His phone continued blinking red, seemingly as if he had been recording their conversation all along.
