Chapter 32 Stupid

Chapter 32 Stupid

Genesis’s POV

The sudden gunshot made me scream and immediately cover my ears.

In a daze, I felt like I was back to the day my parents were shot. Dark red blood drops fell into my eyes.

"Are you insane? How dare you shoot me!" Delilah screamed and cursed. She covered her wounded shoulder and crawled up. "You think you can hurt me? I'm the princess of the Nelson family! Once the security car behind us catches up, they'll never let you go!"

She even lunged forward trying to grab the driver. "Be smart and let me go now! Or I'll kill you!"

I panicked and looked back. The security car was chasing us from behind and looked like it was about to catch up.

I hoped they could save us!

But before I could breathe a sigh of relief, a car suddenly rushed out from the side and blocked the security car's path.

Bang!

The two cars crashed heavily together. I wasn't even sure if that security car could still chase our car!

Delilah was still cursing the driver, wanting to grab the steering wheel.

This stupid woman! How did she survive this long in the Nelson family!

I desperately tugged at Delilah's clothes, trying to make her see the current situation clearly! We didn't know when the security car could catch up. Our best choice now was not to anger the driver!

But Delilah completely ignored my actions. Instead, she turned back and cursed at me. "What are you doing! You just knocked me down earlier. Do you want to make me fall again now? I won't let you go either!"

I loosened my grip on her and quickly crouched down on the floor, curling up in the gap behind the back seat against the rear door.

I was too lazy to care about Delilah anymore. Let her go get herself killed.

Sure enough, amid her endless cursing, the driver exploded again. He turned around and simply shot her again.

Delilah screamed and collapsed onto the seat.

People like her needed to suffer before they realized how stupid they were.

I pressed tightly against the car door and quietly reached for Delilah's bag.

As the princess of the Nelson family, she must carry a gun with her. If we could launch a surprise attack on the driver, we'd still have hope of escaping!

Just as my hand touched her bag, Delilah noticed.

I hurriedly made a shushing gesture at her and pointed to her bag.

I quickly made several hand signals, indicating I wanted to get the gun from her bag.

"What are you doing?! Are you trying to steal my bag!" Delilah completely ignored my gestures and screamed shrilly.

Why didn't the driver just shoot her in the throat?!

I immediately looked nervously at the driver. As long as he wasn't as stupid as Delilah, he'd definitely guess what I was trying to do!

Sure enough, the driver turned around without hesitation and shot right beside my foot.

I covered my ears in terror. Fortunately, I was pressed against the car door and wasn't hit by his gun.

I raised both hands, indicating I absolutely wouldn't act rashly again.

By now, I completely understood. Don't count on Delilah's brain. She really didn't have one.

The driver made eye contact with me through the rearview mirror and sneered. "I know what you're thinking, but this idiot Delilah always thinks guns are too heavy. She didn't bring her gun out at all. You might as well give up."

I looked at Delilah in shock. Although I'd already witnessed her stupidity, I still couldn't believe a mafia family princess would go out without even bringing a gun!

Did she think the whole world loved her?

Only now did Delilah understand what I was trying to do. She showed some embarrassment and regret. "How was I supposed to know someone would try to assassinate me? I just casually threw the gun on the hotel bed."

One stupid person was enough to destroy the world. I completely gave up hope and decided to just stay put.

The driver drove very fast, obviously very familiar with the terrain here. After turning into an alley, he completely lost the bodyguard car.

Delilah leaned against the seat with a pale face, finally understanding her situation.

She grabbed me tightly with her blood-stained hands. "I'm going to die! What should I do? You have to save me!"

I wanted to save her, but she'd blocked every path to survival herself! I had no way at all.

The car stopped. The driver roughly dragged Delilah and me out of the car and forced us into an abandoned factory.

"Why are there two?" A man with three scars on his face walked over displeasedly. Delilah stared in shock, her voice shrill. "Gage! How dare you kidnap me! I'm the princess of the Nelson family, you..."

I was somewhat surprised that the person who kidnapped Delilah was actually Gage. I'd accidentally heard Christian mention before that this Gage was the youngest son of the current leader of the Nguyen family.

Why would he kidnap Delilah?

Gage didn't give her a chance to continue cursing. He viciously smashed his gun butt into her jaw. "Bitch, shut up!"

Eli POV:

"We still haven't found any trace of Gage. That guy disappeared like he vanished into thin air."

Walker reported to me with a frown. I coldly waved my hand for him to continue investigating.

Gage was definitely still in San Aurelia. He couldn't slip away from under our noses.

Walker nodded. "This bastard is like a rat in the gutter. If he hadn't pushed his right-hand man Hadrian out to take the bullet, he couldn't have escaped smoothly."

Inigo frowned beside us. "Gage is a very extreme person. Now that he can't escape, he'll definitely try to drag us down with him. Fortunately, all our people are in Valleria City. He shouldn't have any way to strike."

For some reason, I suddenly thought of the little mute's face.

If I remembered correctly, she was in San Aurelia right now on some class trip.

But Gage shouldn't know such a person existed, and he wouldn't...

My phone suddenly rang. I glanced at the virtual number on the caller ID and exchanged a look with Walker.

After answering the call, Gage's arrogant voice immediately came through. "Eli, make your people retreat."

"The sun hasn't set yet and you're already dreaming?" I sneered, glancing at Inigo. Inigo immediately began tracking his location.

Gage laughed sinisterly. "I have something important to trade with you. As long as you let me leave, I'll return it to you. How about that?"

What could he possibly have to threaten me?

I didn't take it seriously, my fingers slowly stroking my silver pistol. "You remember Ivan, right? You shot him dead. I'm very unhappy."

I recalled the things Ivan had done for me, my voice gradually turning cold. "I will definitely find you personally, then skin you alive to avenge Ivan. Just wait."

Without waiting for Gage to continue his arrogance, I hung up the phone.
