Chapter 39: Prouder

So I was now invisible, sadly no one will see my hair being blown by the wind but just knowing that I was invisible felt awesome. It's definitely not because of the feeling I felt after drinking the energy potion, I'm just really proud of myself and I know that I'm about to make myself feel prouder.

It was hard but I opened the water leather bag strapped around my waist a little, I couldn't see it even with my own eyes thanks to my potion. It's something I didn't think would be a problem but I see now that it's a bit tricky, thankfully I know what is on my body and where my hands should go when wanting to get something.

The werewolves were being pushed back seeing as the battle was now not too far away from me. I rushed towards a black werewolf whose size was similar to Zik's. The werewolf was swift with precision but it didn't change that there were actually four Swift Glooms attacking on all sides. The wounds in the werewolf's body were growing.

I don't know why but I find that the easiest elements to control and reach out to were the water and wind element. Maybe it's because water easily adapts to any shape or situation. Wind, I think represents freedom something I've always yearned for. Anyway I controlled the water in my leather bag to take the shape of a long whip and held it in my hand. When one of the Swift Glooms was about to attack the werewolf from behind I swung the whip towards it.

I made it wrap firmly around both its legs and while I pulled I also used wind to make my pull stronger making the monster fall face first. Quickly after its sad descent I ferociously swung my whip again hard this time on its back. I did it again and the werewolf saw this, it immediately killed the Swift Gloom while it was down. Yet again its back was exposed to the other three.

The whip quickly changed shape and turned into small needles that shot towards the three Swift Gloom's faces piercing all their eyes. Good, they were now blind. I pulled the needles from their faces and returned them towards me. The black werewolf didn't fail to notice this, it took advantage of the situation. This made me feel more confident and I also remembered that I only have ten minutes, after that the potion's effect will fade so there's not a second to waste.

While standing amidst the battle that I thought only appeared in books that I also thought were exaggerating I was amazed. I was amazed that no one was seeing me. The only thing visible was the ball of water hovering just above my invisible hand.

Oh no Zik! I quickly moved when seeing how badly wounded he was, especially his front leg. It's amazing that he is still standing. One of the Swift Glooms was ready to chop his ear off with its wide open mouth that exposed razor sharp teeth. The water hovering just above my hand changed into a long spear with a sharp tip. With the help of the wind heeding my command I threw it accurately. Accurately how? Well the entire spear literally went through the Swift Glooms head. I didn't have time to think and was overwhelmed with haste, there was a lot of force thanks to the wind understanding the feeling of urgency.

Of course Zik is shocked which would also be defined as a distraction, thanks to the way he saw the monster die he paused rendering him open. Another monster's long blade arm slashed his butt. I'm serious, his butt.

I sent the spear towards that naughty monster but it dodged and slashed the spear only for its arm to pass through it leaving the spear undamaged. I had firm control over the water. I quickly sent the water in the monster's mouth and water needles came out through the back of its head. The monster dramatically fell on its knees then with its face afterwards. I didn't care about the cruel way I killed it and I continued to kill more monsters in ways I never thought I could. I didn't think, I just acted on instinct.

Two monsters fell down and although they were bleeding all over thanks to me they were still alive. I have to kill every single one of them. I walked towards the monsters on the ground while a sword made out of water was forming in my hand. I separated both their heads from their bodies with ease like it was something I always knew I could and would do. Wait what am I saying... whatever the leader seems to be in trouble.

Vale's fight was intense and as amazing as he is he's also injured and his beautiful fur is tainted with more blood than before including his own.

He saw one of the monsters he was fighting head get pierced by a lot of things needles and it died just like that. Of course unlike Zik he didn't lose focus and maybe because he was the strongest he was fighting more Swift Glooms than everyone else. They were all just drawn to him, maybe it's because they could feel he was the strongest.

I got closer. The monsters can't see me anyway and I'll help better when being near. One of the monsters left a huge gash on his shoulder or whatever that werewolf's part is called. There were like ten Swift Glooms surrounding him and I don't know how he lasted that long but I have to save him.

He got surrounded by a water shield, It wasn't to protect him from the monsters but from my attacks. I released a lot of wind blades towards the monsters and the ground also didn't spare them as it was covered with earth spikes pointing towards the sky. The monster's feet had many holes because of that and when they were completely weakened I raised two huge boulders from the ground to crush the monsters with them.

I saw Vale's head turn to where he left me when they went to clash with the monsters, only to see there was no one there. His eyes searched and stopped when he spotted me, wait he can see me! Oh no that must mean ten minutes is over and the potion's effect has faded. The water shield that was protecting him was no more, the water has already been absorbed by the ground. Which meant I have run out of energy so I can no longer keep it up cause why else would it fall when I didn't command it to.

I shuddered when I all of a sudden heard a monster's roar, the next thing I felt was pain on my back and my feet losing touch with the ground.
