Chapter 35: Idiotic angel

Thanks to Roseanne's stupidity the Swift Glooms together with the other regular monsters were now charging towards us. Vale threw me off his back making me land on the ground with my butt, with him in the lead the werewolves also charged towards the monsters. Roseanne's angelic form was already flying above constantly firing arrows of light and when one reached the target an explosion would follow.

There's no point in stressing about the monsters and their weird behavior or Roseanne's stupidity, it's time to kick some ugly butts. Still I won't forget to nag Roseanne about her stupidity after we're done fighting. I got off the ground and sighed, I kind of thought we were going to fight together like he does with Roseanne. So much for doing a 'better' job than Zik with keeping me safe.

But ANYWAY an epic clash of two sides was about to happen but unfortunately I was going to mess it up for one side. The monsters were running towards the werewolves, they were looking at nothing but the werewolves. Just when they were about to reach the werewolves I raised a small ten centimeter wall in front of where their feet had just landed. The monsters were not paying attention to that so most of the monsters in the front fell while some tripped because of the mini wall.

The disruption of their momentum helped the werewolves a bit but it's just the start, there's so much I plan to do.

Growls, roars, shrills and blood followed but all of it was nothing compared to what I've seen a month ago. The number of monsters wasn't as terrifying as the last time. So it's time I get out of my head and show them what I got.

Zik's werewolf form together with another black werewolf were battling two normal monsters and one Swift Gloom. I held out my hand and concentrated on the earth heeding my current command. I quickly felt some of my energy draining so I knew it was working, from the ground rose a hand made out of earth locking one of the monsters in place. It was big enough to hold a monster and although it was very slow to execute this move it worked because the monster was too focused on Zik and the other wolf.

This was eating too much of my energy especially with the monster trying to break free from my earth hand's grasp. I can't let that happen, Zik was fighting the Swift Gloom and the other werewolf was fighting the normal monster. My hand formed a clenched fist making the earth hand tighten around the monster. It was now roaring in pain, it's ugly eyes that were all over it's face were wide open. I guess it's time I end its life now huh, the earth hand released the monster making it fall on its knees. The hand changed, turning into a dozen earth spikes that I controlled to pierce the monster's head.

I immediately regretted doing that as I fought back the urge to puke, killing it with that many spikes through its head was such a bad idea. I had to quickly look away and it was a good decision. Vale was facing three Swift Glooms and what was shocking was that although he didn't have the upper hand he was also not losing. Now I see the difference in strength between him and Zik, he wasn't being arrogant at all. Still if it continues he'll get exhausted and the Swift Glooms will get the upper hand. I can't let that happen.

I should at least take two of them out or maybe one actually cause I'm really far away from him. In fact I'm further away from the battle and it's amazing that I did what I did to help Zik. They are moving too fast and I have no choice, I have to force my control over my magic to keep up. I just have to spot a gap and very soon it happened. I quickly raised four walls that locked one of the Swift Glooms, only the top was available and wasn't gonna let it escape. Dozens of wind blades rained on the Swift Gloom and just as I was rejoicing hearing it roar with pain it was able to break the walls.

Blood was gushing non stop from its countless deep cuts but it stood tall looking even more terrifying than it was before. It's eyes found my figure, it roared very loudly making me guess it was angry. I charged towards me, ignoring Vale and the other werewolves.

Not my first one on one match but gosh it looked like a nightmare was coming to tear me apart. I created a thick sturdy wall that I was very aware wouldn't be able to stop it but the purpose was to slow it down.

It broke through the wall but when its feet landed on the ground it sank in the earth. I had done this move before on that vampire but I had done it better this time, the only thing visible of this monster was its upper body. Its entire legs were now under ground and as impressive as that was, it took a lot of my energy.

A beautiful white arrow suddenly pierced the head of the monster and an explosion followed causing the monster's brain, limbs and some eyeballs to spread on the ground. A sight too horrifying for a sane person to ever have the guts to ignore or get over it... Luckily I'm not a sane person. I'll also thank the idiotic angel later for assisting me which she didn't have to at all. I had it all under control, my energy was low but it wasn't completely drained. I could've been able to create a sharp wind blade and since the monster was in place, I was going to accurately slice the monster's head off.

It also looked like I wasn't really needed because it was now evident that it was a losing battle for the monsters. I've seen the werewolves face hundreds of them so this was bound to be not too hard for them. After this we would have to figure out where the monsters were going and why, I just hope the answers aren't too dangerous.
