Chapter 11: Convinced

It was Zik and I could say he is a better company than Olivia or Roseanne but I don't like being followed. I know that he is observing me. " Hey I don't like doing it but that's what I'm assigned to do!" By who? Vale? Hearing his name or anything about him is already annoying. " When is 'he' returning, I need to speak to him" he laughed" what makes you think I'm going to tell you" I shook my head " you don't know do you". His expression fell and then he threw his arms up " I want to talk to him too but I can't, so until he returns I'm stuck with following you" it was very easy to see through his tough act. So Vale can just leave without telling them where he is going and when he is going to return.

" I was taking a walk to clear my mind but since you ruined it I'll head back and I guess you'll be following me like a fly" he rolled his eyes and we started going back.

"So I heard about the party" , " don't attend it! I can't guard you well in a party" oh so he is not only following me, he also has to guard me. Should I be worried that the leader himself sees a reason for me to be guarded by a powerful werewolf. Am I in danger? Nah I highly doubt that. Nobody knows about 'me' and this place is safe...right? " If you feel like you'll get bored just read a book and fall asleep because you still have to make more potions tomorrow" he is probably right, I should mind my own business and not go to some werewolf party...

"My room?" It felt weird to say and I really can't believe the size and furniture is for me. I forced myself not to overthink as I still plan on escaping, I went for a hot shower and wore the blue pajamas that were given to me. They felt soft and warm against my skin, I took one of the books from the book shelf to read it before sleeping. It was a nice book about how dangerous the monsters can be to each race and the earth itself. There's nothing nice about it but I was enjoying the knowledge about monsters and I understand why the warewolves try to keep them from nearing to their home. Nature dies when touched by a monster, that must be why the place where I woke up to those perverts looked so dry.

"Enjoying the book?" my head snapped towards the window where a man had entered without me noticing. His red glowing eyes were the first thing I noticed about him, I could feel that he is not only dangerous but also evil. " I'm jealous that it's not me but the monsters who are shaking the world to panic " he sighed, I was about to ask why he was jealous but I woke up and realized it was actually a dream. "Did you enjoy the book?" I almost jumped out of bed thinking the man with red eyes is still here but it wasn't him, Vale has returned and he is in the room that's given to me.

" You're back? " No the question I wanted to ask was why he was here but this is his pack so I guess he can do anything he wants, invading my privacy is also included" I heard you made three potions, I'm not sure if that's an impressive number but I do know that your potions are more useful" it's impressive because none of you can make a single potion! " I'm going to send out some of the pack members to look for more magical ingredients and once they return I'm gonna need you to do more than 20 potions a week. I have a feeling that you can manage more than three potions a day and I need more of them for a reason. We'll soon head out to kill the monsters that are nearing their way here" sounds like there's a lot at stake and I am very important towards the pack's success in protecting their home. As long as they get enough ingredients then I can manage making more.

" That's okay with me, I just don't like having Zik following me around all day" his eyes glared at me- oh no it's just their cold normal look. It made me a little nervous but I didn't show " I also don't like having one of my best pack member following you around, it's for your own good and I don't care if you don't like the decisions I make. Just remember that it's me who's in charge of this place, you and everyone here!" I wanted to say so many things but I swallowed the rising anger and watched as he closed the door behind him. He talks like I wanted to come here, I never wanted to be here! He brought me here against my will and he says he's in charge of me?...well not for long...

" I can only make five more healing potion with the ingredients I have and not to mention that I'll be using the last of the scaleflower petals" I tried to explain to Aarina who had her arms crossed and he doesn't look convinced. " I know that you could've done more than three potions yesterday and until I see all of these ingredients run out with just five potions I'm not convinced" tch curse you Vale! I might've pretended I could only do three a day but I'm not lying about this. I don't even care if she's not convinced, she can watch me all she wants but I won't waste my breath to make a jealous woman to believe me.

" IF! she's telling the truth Alpha Vale has already sent out some of the pack members to search for the ingredients. Thanks to Arina's books I was able to highlight the places they should start with. Hopefully they'll return with enough ingredients for Era to make more potions" Roseanne was the one who broke the tense atmosphere. "I hope they find them so that she doesn't have room for excuses!"
