Chapter 26

MATILDA'S POV

Three months later......

I walked into Darius's room and knocked on the door. After a few knocks, Sharon's opened the door.

"Mother? You don't have to knock. It is your son's room remember?"

I sighed heavily and stretched my neck to look in. "How is he doing now?"

Sharon sighed heavily and opened the door completely. "My lord, your mother is here to see you." she said out loud.

I looked at her with a frown and looked in. I could see his shadow approaching. I don't want to see him yet, why does she have to call him out?

"Mother?" Darius called when he walked out. He stared at me for a moment and frowned. "What do you want?"

It's been three months, three months since I lost my son and also Riley. Things changed after that moment. I was lost and almost died seeing my son's lifeless body until Sharon came around and told me that there was a solution. I accepted her help and he was miraculously brought back to life. I was grateful and so had no choice but to accept Sharon, to which I was sorry for Riley. But he lost his memory.

Darius was told that I was his mother hut he suddenly hated me. He doesn't want to see my face and blames me for what happened to him. He said he remembered how he died and I was involved in it. I don't know who told him the lie and so was taken aback and thought he was just joking until three months when his hatred still remained.

"I.....I just came to see how you are." I replied looking down.

"I am fine and I don't need you caring about me." he said to me and went back inside.

My heartache seeing my son this way. What went wrong? Why the sudden change? Who just have fed him with different lies?

Flashback......(three months ago)

I sat in front of my son's lifeless body, sorrowfully. I just wanted my life to be over. I want to go with him. He can't leave me alone in this world. I only have him and he is gone too? No, I have to go with him.

After Riley fell down from the window, Darius left the room with Danny when he told him about the attack. They told me to remain behind and I had to. I still couldn't believe Riley was gone and so I was still in shock. She fell before my eyes and I couldn't do anything to save her.

Hours after they left, a soldier came in and told me the news about my son's death. I didn't believe it at first and had to see him. My whole world ended at that moment.

Danny was injured and unconscious too. I was left alone with no one. I just want to die too. I can't stand this pain of losing everyone.

The door opened and Sharon walked in. I couldn't say anything as my heart was heavy. She walked closer and sat beside me.

"Darius isn't dead yet." she said and that made me look at her. "He was in his Alpha's form when the spear was shoot at him. His Alpha form will surely heal him." she added.

In his Alpha's form? She is right. If he died in his Alpha's form then he can still come back to life. I looked at him with my mouth slightly opened. All hope is not lost.

"But, the spear caused an even deeper wound as it was shot directly to his head."

"There must be a way." I said, standing up. There have to be a way to being back my son to me. I can't loss him. He is all I have.

"There is and I know the one who can help us."

That is a relief. She was right, she knew someone who could help us. Darius was treated within two weeks and he finally opened his eyes.

"Son." I called but what he said shocked me. He asked who I was. I told him I was his mother and noticed the confused look on his face.

I was later told that he forgot all about himself.

Flashback ends.....

I looked down and went away.

"Mother." Danny called and rushed to me.

He has been of great help since he recovered. He is always there for me when I am rejected and have being a shoulder to lean on.

"Let's go back to your room." he said and led me to my room. I couldn't say anything. I was lost of words. even though this isn't the first time my son would send me away, it always hurt. My son hates me.

"What did I do? why does he blame me so much for what happened?" I asked when Danny helped me to seat.

"He will surely come back to his senses and realize what he has done. I think it's his medication process that made him to put the blame of what happened on you instead of Theo who is the real culprit."

I couldn't say anything but to cry. It hurts so much. It does. To think that I pushed him away before the incident happened. I deserve this hate.

Danny hugged me. "Don't worry mother, he will cone back."

It's being three months already, when will he come back to me.

SHARON'S POV

I smiled to my self when I locked the door and looked at Darius, who was still fuming in anger. Well, his hatred for his mother is so strong all thanks to me. She hated me when I first came into this palace and now, it's is her turn. I made sure her son hate her and I am not done yet. I will make sure he hates her forever.

When he woke up, I made sure to spend more time with him and then, I told him about his mother had always hated him from child birth and that Theo attacked him because his mother was having an affair with him.

He didn't believe at first cause he sees her as a kind woman but I made sure that hatred grew. Now, he doesn't want to see her face anymore.

I stopped smiling when he looked at me. "My lord, why don't you give your mother a listening ear. Speak to her." I said to him.

He shook his head. "Talk to a despicable woman? I hate seeing her. She is the reason I was almost killed three months ago."

He has no idea that all I told him and made him believe to be his memory are all lies.

"But....."

"No buts." he cut me off and faced me. "let's not talk about her right now and talk about us." he said with a smile.

Well, that is also a big bonus. I made sure to always stay beside him and never left his sight. He ended up falling in love with me. Things are going perfectly well for me.

I sat beside him and he drew me closer to himself. He smiled sweetly and kissed my cheek. "You look so beautiful." he said to me.

I smiled back at him and touched his cheek gently.

"I will always look beautiful for you."

The door was suddenly pushed opened.
