Chapter 105 CHAPTER 105
My journey from the hostel to the library was enough time for me to fix my mood but I didn't succeed.
From the guilt at this feeling of cheating in my heart to still being upset about chasing Master Florian off with my anger issues or whatever that was that I was doing.
Gosh, am I becoming like my ex?
Well, at least I wasn't cheating on and manipulating one person, I was sharing it between the man who loved me and the one who wanted to beat strength into my bones.
I also consider that a love language, teaching me to stand up for myself rather than waiting for a saviour every time but let's not give my heart more reasons to chase shadows.
I really can't wait to be out of here before all of this gets more complicated than it already is.
The second I walked into the library, it was like everyone got a memo all at once and began leaving.
"See you later, Alira," Kassandra waved to me with a smile and I waved back.
Preparation for Trial two for the second year was scaring me even though I won't be here to go through it and it's from how exhausted the usually excited Kassandra looks.
By the time I found Zade, the library was already quiet.
"My love," he gushed the second he saw me, the excitement in his eyes increasing the guilt in my gut.
"Did you chase those people away?"
"The second I smelled your scent heading this way."
"Zade!"
"What! I've missed my woman and she doesn't like people knowing we're together so..."
"You think you're clever, huh?"
"What do you mean Ma'am?"
"They just saw me walking in here, what do you believe they'll think?"
"Maybe whatever they came in here to disturb my peace about that they needed to read?"
"I want to believe Dragon kins can multitask. Reading and gossiping. If people know we're together, do you know how much attention will be on you when I suddenly disappear?"
"Oh don't remind me," he sighed, his hands falling from my body.
"But I have to baby. He poisoned me, can you imagine what would have happened if–"
"No, don't make me think about it please," he begged, cupping my cheeks. "I'm never going to allow that to happen. I'm taking Draco to the next town tomorrow night."
"Damn, you're gonna seduce the man and then rob him?" I joked and his laughter was infectious.
"Something like that. Come, I have some to show you."
"Your dick?"
"You know you look very innocent for the things you say right?"
"And you look too serious for the sounds you make when you're inside me. I guess we're a perfect match."
He bit my lower lip.
I kissed him.
"Gods below, I want to undress you right now and fuck your pussy over that table," he growled, making my pussy clench with desire and anticipation.
"Please..."
"But no," he pulled away, and I let out a lustful whine, "I have to show you our world before you leave. Come on."
"Ugh, you're a buzz killer!"
"Don't worry, you can have my dick in the library any time you want but how about somewhere more exotic?"
"Than this plush library? Nothing of such exists."
He laughed but kept pulling me towards the back window of the library.
The particular one that led to my near demise.
I shook the memories away, I'm alive and living the best fantasy life ever.
One that must end soon or I'm doomed because either I kill Kovar or not, my life here was numbered.
Zade jumped down first and then caught me in his arms, both of us laughing hysterically like kids.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked, giggling as he ran, pulling me.
"Impatience looks cute on you my love. But just wait, if I tell you, it'll ruin the surprise."
He looked so excited and carefree so I didn't push, I ran after him.
Past the school grounds, towards the main mountain that towered above every other one.
"Zade?" I called tentatively as he carried me and crossed small streams and stones on the way, his pace quicker.
"Yes, my love?"
"Is it... Safe?"
"You don't think I can protect you?"
"That leech..."
"Only got to you because we didn't teach you how to defend yourself from it. Besides, I've literally swallowed a dragon. If it gets inside of me, I'll wither and die. Now stop being scared and close your eyes, we're almost there."
"Okay Mr. FBI."
"What is that?"
"It's a secret," I giggled then louder when he smacked my ass.
He walked us a bit further before he stopped.
"Are we there yet?"
"Yes but close your eyes until I tell you."
"Yes, daddy."
"Don't do that," he warned, his voice tight.
I held the laugh in my throat.
Suddenly, I heard claps of wings and nothing could keep my eyes closed.
"Damn Azula, spoiling my surprise!" Zade yelled at the dragon that was flapping its powerful wings.
It made a grunting sound before lifting off, flying up.
And further up until I couldn't see him anymore.
Even with my enhanced sight.
"What is .." I was lost for breath, looking down slowly at the place that majestic couldn't quite justify as a description.
"We call it the dragon pen. It's where the foundation of the Kalutian Academy resides. After every ride, a dragon kin brings their dragon here. Beautiful isn't it?"
It was more than beautiful, it left me breathless.
Why they call it Pens, I don't know.
These were caves, beautifully decorated pens.
The mountain from this lower end wasn't the colour of rock, ash or brown.
It was a glowing green, and then the stony part had streaks of green up until the top where my eyes couldn't see.
At first, it was only Azula that was visible, other dragons having gone to sleep or something but it was still a wonder to behold.
But then Zade made a whistling sound with his throat and then I heard it.
A response through all the holes that were opened at different sides of the humongous mountain.
And slowly, they began coming out.
Different colours, some that I've never seen before.
Red, orange, green, pink, magenta, black.
The list was endless.
And they were all looking at me.
As though that wasn't dramatic enough, A red one began flying towards us.
"Zade?" I asked, panicking already, "What's happening?"
"A dragon flyer scared of dragons? Don't worry, I just want to introduce my girlfriend to them. She won't come too close don't worry," he finished with an amused chuckle.
But the red dragon didn't stop, only flapped her large wings and settled on the ground and she began walking towards us.
I tried to move and run to his back, but Zade held me in place, unmoving.
Until the dragon's face was directly on top of mine.
My heart nearly stopped beating.
