Chapter 103 CHAPTER 103
“If you don't make it back today, promise to come tomorrow?” Zade asked me with his fingers arranging my hair.
I was feeling better than I had in days, hopeful even.
“Yes sir, I'll run back to you the second I get a chance. Will you be at the library or you don't go there anymore?”
“It's my job baby, I just prefer staying here now more often because I want to encourage the students to read. They're scared of me you know?”
“Oh I know, you're scary and bad and terrifying.”
“No I'm not!”
“Pick a struggle babes,” I laughed, kissed him again before heading out. “I'll see you at the library, I have some reading to do later.”
“Can't wait.”
I got back quite early to the girls coming out of the shower.
“Somebody is in a good mood,” Akua teased, winking at me.
“Leave me alone,” I whispered, blush creeping on my cheeks.
Memories of Zade making me beg him to go all the way last night decided that was the perfect moment to grace my mind with it's presence.
In hindsight, it's my fault for telling him I was tired earlier but it's his fault for licking me to a point where my legs turned to jelly but he just refused to send me over the edge.
Until I begged him.
Only for a few seconds though, my man can't say no to me.
I shivered with a smile at the possessiveness in my own thoughts, and then I cringed with irritation at myself.
He's my man but every night I think about… others.
My mood was getting ruined so I got out of my head and joined the conversation around me.
Better to discuss Mira's crazy love life than to get lost in the self hating spiral I was heading down with mine.
Mountain climbing class was easier now than before and the second gave me that look, I returned it fiercely back to him.
If he tries anything, I'm strong enough to make sure we both die from the fall.
He developed some common sense and left me alone for the rest of the day.
Probably because he has some other dubious plans for me.
Silly boy.
The moment we finished the second class of the day, I saw Master Florian hanging around the sparring ground, a package in his hand.
“Wait a minute, he's your mystery lover?!” Akua whisper yelled in my ear.
“No!” I screamed out loud and shrivelled when eyes went on us from everywhere, “Sorry,” I waved nervously and then dragged Akua away from the class. “He's not the one. I was poisoned and he's just making sure it doesn't happen again since his immune system is stronger. There's nothing happening between us.”
“Hmm, if you really believe that, then I think you hit your head too hard when you fell from the sky.”
“I did. But it was on water so I don't know what that means but he's just helping me out. We're not even friends, he's my teacher and we're resuming night training again so stop putting those ideas in my head. I have a boyfriend.”
“If you can just tell me who he is, we won't be having this conversation you know?”
“Is it normal to have something with an instructor?”
Her eyes widened as well as her mouth.
“Alira!”
“Exactly why I'm not saying anything. But it's not Master Florian, I promise.”
“I believe you, but you know you shouldn't be doing that and if you are, you better not let Principal Draco find out. Most people will be sent out along with the Instructor but you? I have no idea since you have no where to be sent to. Let's not find out, I actually like you.”
“Oh really? I was so sure you hated my existence earlier, what changed?” I asked with a shit eating grin.
“Don't ruin it,” she pinched my nose and returned back to the class.
I looked behind me for a few more seconds before walking towards Master Florian as confidently as I could, despite the war happening inside of me.
I wondered if people were looking at me, if they could see how my fingers were shaking; they probably are, my scales were bouncing the sun all around dramatically.
But since nobody screamed at me for feeling something for the man watching me approach, I held my own until I got to him.
“What have you been eating since last night?” He demanded the second I was close enough to him.
My lips opened, about to divulge my tryst with Zade last night but thankfully I remembered myself.
“Nothing sir,” Iied, “I've been busy all morning.”
As though that wasn't obvious.
“I'm always at dragon pens, so if you have to eat something, drink anything, even if it's water, come find me first, alright?”
I nodded, collecting the food from him and I watched him walk away.
My friends made fun of me all through lunch by the way.
After the last class of the day, I was more than happy to go spend the evening with Zade, but I had to train with Master Florian first.
I was about heading home when a familiar figure stepped into my path.
No, not Kovar.
A certain someone that doesn't know what No means.
“Hi Asher,” I sighed, already tired of the conversation that's about to unfold.
“You've been avoiding me.”
“Well, I've been busy trying to not get killed in case you haven't heard.”
He moved his hand towards my arm and I stepped back two steps instinctively.
Something about him made me feel like the leech was crawling into my nose again.
His hand fell to his side and I noticed a look pass through his face very quickly.
Irritation.
“I apologize for Kovar's craziness. Although it's because you haven't aligned yourself with somebody who can protect you. The second you do that, he'll stop bugging you.”
Yea, right.
I sucked Zade's dick because of the intensity of lust I felt from him beating him into a pulp and the bastard still poisoned me.
Nothing about Asher was comparable to Zade in terms of strength so even if he's right and this world needs more feminism than they're aware of, Asher won't be the guy to save me.
“I'm good, thanks,” I said dismissively, stepping to his side to walk away.
But he stops me.
Not with words, no.
He wrapped his arms around my shoulders and dragged my shocked self back to his front.
“I'm not done talking to you.”
What the actual hell?
