Chapter 87
He didn't really mind Margaret calling him "husband," and he didn't mind calling her "wife" either. He just needed some time to get used to it.
When the first ray of morning light shone on Margaret's face, she opened her eyes. Today was Friday, and tomorrow was a holiday, so Margaret could afford to take it a bit slower today.
She glanced at her phone and saw that it was only 7 a.m., giving her two more hours before she had to go to work, so she decided to sleep a bit longer.
Turning her head, she saw Leonard lying beside her, also awake and looking at her. Their eyes met, and Margaret bit her lip; they were very close to each other.
"Good morning."
As soon as Margaret said this, Leonard leaned in and kissed her lips. Margaret instinctively pulled back a little. "I haven't brushed my teeth yet."
She had never kissed him in the morning, especially not before getting out of bed.
But Leonard didn't seem to mind at all. In fact, he kissed her again, showing her with his actions that he didn't care whether she had brushed her teeth or not.
The sound of their lips and tongues intertwining gradually reached Margaret's ears, making the morning feel a bit erotic.
Leonard's hand slid gently from her pajamas to her chest, teasing her soft nipples. A shiver ran through Margaret's body, and she let out a soft moan.
Leonard breathed warmly into her ear, "Why is your body so sensitive?"
He had only lightly touched her nipple, and she already seemed to be in ecstasy.
Margaret blushed slightly, feeling shy. She didn't know why her body was so sensitive; she just couldn't handle Leonard's touch.
"Take off your panties."
Margaret was wearing a long nightgown to bed, so Leonard was referring to her plain white panties.
Margaret's breath hitched as she looked at him. "I have to go to work."
Leonard didn't seem to care. "I'll be done within two hours."
They had woken up early today, so they had plenty of time for a morning session.
Leonard lifted one of Margaret's legs onto his shoulder and then thrust deeply into her. The distance between them became nonexistent, and Margaret threw her head back and cried out.
"Husband... it feels so good!"
Margaret had never known what it felt like to make love to someone, so when she heard the sounds of Howard and Stella making love at their wedding, she thought it was exaggerated.
But now, experiencing it herself, she realized those sounds were involuntary.
"Do you like it?"
Leonard's deep voice reached Margaret's ears. She moaned and nodded, moving her body in sync with his.
She really enjoyed making love with him because he always knew how to find her sensitive spots and bring her into a world of pleasure.
Because Margaret had engaged in vigorous activity early in the morning, she didn't have the energy to drive herself to work.
Since they had woken up early, Leonard decided to drop her off at work before heading to the hospital himself.
As they sat in the car, Margaret asked, "Why aren't you driving the Audi?"
Leonard was driving a BMW SUV, which Margaret had never seen before. Was it new?
Leonard seemed to guess her thoughts and said softly, "This car belongs to the company. I brought it back temporarily yesterday."
Margaret understood.
"Although this car is nice, I still prefer my Audi."
Hearing this, Leonard glanced at her. This car was worth two of her Audis.
Margaret didn't know much about cars, and she didn't think this car belonged to Leonard, so she didn't pay much attention.
At the office, Tenley, who sat next to Margaret, noticed her necklace and said, "Margaret, you've been wearing that necklace for a long time, and it still shines. Do you take it off every day when you get home?"
Margaret realized that she hadn't taken off the necklace since she started wearing it, not even when she showered.
Tenley found this even more amazing. "I always thought cheap diamonds would get ruined if they got wet, but yours still looks so delicate. Where did your husband buy it?"
This reminded Margaret of the argument she had with Leonard that day, so she hadn't had a chance to ask him where he got the necklace.
Feeling a bit guilty, she looked at Tenley and said, "Sorry, I've been busy these days, so I forgot to ask him."
Tenley waved it off. "No worries, I don't need to buy the exact same one. How about we go shopping after work today? I want to buy a necklace too."
Margaret hadn't gone shopping in a long time, and she was glad her relationship with her colleagues was improving, so she agreed. Afterward, she sent Leonard a message saying she would be late coming home because she was going to the mall with Tenley.
After sending the message, she put her phone in her pocket and went shopping for necklaces with Tenley.
In the large mall, Margaret and Tenley reached the floor dedicated to jewelry. After walking around for a while, Tenley noticed a new store and said, "There's a new bridal shop here!"
Margaret looked in the direction Tenley was pointing and saw a newly opened bridal shop filled with various white wedding dresses, looking very dreamy.
Looking further inside, Margaret saw two people she really didn't want to see: Howard and Stella.
Stella was holding Howard's hand, picking out wedding dresses. She pointed to one and said, "Howard, what do you think of this dress?"
Howard wasn't really interested in shopping for wedding dresses. If Stella hadn't dragged him here, he would still be at the office handling his work, so he looked a bit impatient.
"Whatever, it's fine."
Although his attitude was a bit cold, Stella was already satisfied that he was accompanying her. But when she looked up, she saw Margaret standing not far away.
A flash of disgust crossed her eyes, and before she could pull Howard away, Howard also looked up.
