TWO HUNDRED HEALED

TWO HUNDRED HEALED

Nurses rushed from one corner to another, tending to the injured survivors of the mysterious attack on the Shadow Claws Pack. The air was thick. Tension and exhaustion with scent of blood and antiseptic mingling in the chaotic atmosphere. Rosa, the pack’s healer, moved with practiced efficiency, her hands steady as she bandaged the arm of a wounded warrior.

Sweat dripped down her face, her breathing heavy, her body weary from hours of nonstop work. She was drained, both physically and emotionally, but she couldn’t afford to stop. Not when so many lives depended on her.

As she finished tying the bandage, she exhaled deeply, her shoulders slumping under the weight of her responsibilities. She wiped her forehead with the back of her hand, her eyes scanning the room filled with groaning patients and bustling nurses. The sight was overwhelming, but she forced herself to stay focused. There was no time to rest.

She got into her office, exhausted.

“You look like you need a little break,” a familiar voice chimed in, startling her.

Rosa turned to see Delilah standing in the doorway of her office, a soft smile playing on her lips. Rosa’s heart skipped a beat. Despite her inherited magical abilities, she hadn’t sensed Delilah’s approach. “How did she manage to hide her scent?” Rosa wondered, her mind racing. She quickly masked her surprise, forcing a polite smile.

“Your Highness,” Rosa greeted, her voice calm but shows irritation. “You should have sent word before coming. I wasn’t expecting you.”

Delilah stepped inside, her presence was commanding yet graceful. She sank into the chair in front of Rosa’s desk, her eyes studying the healer intently. Rosa walked to the sink, turning on the faucet and scrubbing her hands with soapy disinfectant. The cool water eased her nerves, but she could feel Delilah’s gaze on her back.

“My queen,” Rosa began, drying her hands and turning to face Delilah. “To what do I owe this unexpected visit?”

Delilah leaned back in her chair, her expression was unreadable. “I’m here to talk,” she said nonchalantly.

“About what, Your Highness?” Rosa asked, her tone cautious.

“About us,” Delilah replied, her voice softening. “It seems to me that you’ve changed. You don’t seem to like me anymore, and it bothers me. Is it because of Zod?”

Rosa’s eyes widened in shock, but she quickly trained her features, masking her emotions. It was too late, though. Delilah had already caught the quick look of surprise on Rosa’s face.

“Don’t be shocked,” Delilah continued, her tone almost teasing. “I know he’s your lover. Maybe even your mate?” She phrased it as a question, but her confidence suggested she already knew the answer.

Rosa remained silent, her mind racing. She hadn’t expected Delilah to confront her about this. She had been careful, or so she thought.

“You were angry because of what happened during the training, weren’t you?” Delilah pressed on. “It was an accident. I didn’t mean to do that. Besides, I was still learning from you.”

Rosa took a deep breath, choosing her words carefully. “Your Highness, I’m not angry with you. At least, not for too long. I’m sorry if I made you feel that way. But I assure you, I’m not angry.”

Delilah studied her for a moment, as if trying to get the truth behind Rosa’s words. Then, she stood up, her smile returning. “Just so you know, I’m still your friend. I left a gift for you. You look like you need some rest. Close up for today. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

With that, Delilah turned and left, her footsteps echoing in the room. Rosa stood frozen, her mind speeding. She hadn’t expected the conversation to go this way. Delilah’s words lingered in the air, leaving Rosa more confused than ever.

Before she could process what had just happened, a nurse burst into the office, her face lit up with excitement. “Healer, you’ve done it again! Everyone, everyone is healed!” she announced, her voice filled with awe.

Rosa blinked, trying to make sense of the nurse’s words. “What do you mean?” she asked, her broke as she asked.

“The patients…they’re all healed! It’s like magic!” the nurse exclaimed.

Rosa’s heart raced as she dashed out of her office and into the wards. The scene before her was nothing short of miraculous. Patients who had been on the brink of death just hours ago were now sitting up, laughing, and celebrating. Their wounds had vanished, their strength restored.

“The healer is here! She healed us with her magic!” one of the patients cheered, and the others joined in, their voices filled with gratitude and joy.

Rosa’s mind spun. This wasn’t possible. The injuries these people had sustained were magical in nature, far beyond the capabilities of ordinary healing. It should have taken weeks, if not months, for them to recover fully. And yet, here they were, completely healed.

She turned to the nurse who had followed her. “Did you see the queen leaving?” she asked urgently.

“The queen? She wasn’t here. Was she supposed to be?” the nurse replied, looking confused.

Rosa shook her head, dismissing the thought. “Never mind. I’m just… overwhelmed. I’m closing early for today,” she announced, her voice trembling.

As she retreated to her office, Rosa’s mind raced with questions. How had this happened? Who had healed the patients? Delilah’s words echoed in her mind: “I left a gift for you.” Could it be that Delilah had done this? But how? Delilah wasn’t known for her healing abilities. What changed?

Rosa sank into her chair, her thoughts spiraling. Delilah had always been an enigma, but this…this was something else entirely. If Delilah had the power to heal on such a massive scale, what else was she capable of? And more importantly, what did this mean for Rosa and her plans?

Later that evening, Zod found Rosa in their private quarters. He wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close. “I heard the news,” he said, his voice filled with pride. “You cured more than two hundred people today. That’s incredible.”

Rosa remained silent, her mind still preoccupied with the day’s events. She hadn’t been herself since the attack, and Zod’s presence, while comforting, did little to ease her troubled thoughts.

“King Alexander wants me to rule this kingdom,” Zod continued, his hands roaming her body as he planted kisses on her face. “And here you are, already making progress. I know you’ll make me proud.”

Rosa’s body responded to his touch, her nipples hardening as his fingers brushed against her most sensitive areas. She was wet, her desire for him undeniable, but her mind was elsewhere.

“Very soon,” Zod whispered, his voice low and seductive, “your name and mine will be chanted by our people. Just wait. Once you kill Delilah, the battle will be over.”

His words snapped Rosa out of her trance. She pulled away from him, her eyes wide with shock. “What did you say?” she asked, her voice trembling.

Zod’s expression darkened. “Our next mission is to kill Delilah. King Alexander and his witch wife have spoken. It’s the only way to end this.”

Rosa shook her head, her heart pounding. “We can’t. It’s not possible. It’s a losing battle already.”

Zod’s grip on her tightened, his eyes narrowing. “You doubt me?” he asked, his voice cold.

Rosa looked into his eyes, her mind racing. She loved Zod, but she couldn’t ignore the growing sense of unease within her. Delilah’s actions had shaken her to her core, and now, Zod’s words only added to her turmoil. She was caught

in a web of loyalty, love, and doubt, and she wasn’t sure which path to take.
