The first thing you need to do is to put Zachary Irwin's clothes in the next closet to your own. Jane Gardner looked at her own clothes and then at his, and felt as if she was standing next to him when the two were together.
I couldn't get enough of it.
"Young lady, is there anything in particular you would like to eat for lunch today? It's almost lunchtime."
Nanny Finn came back into the bedroom again, saw Jane Gardner still sorting out Zachary Irwin's clothes one by one, and asked with a smile.
"Nanny Finn, from today on, I'll do the cooking myself."
Zachary Irwin was coming back to live soon, which meant he would probably be eating at home.
When she hadn't married him, she had fantasized about one day washing her hands of her beloved.
She had those same thoughts for the first year of marriage, but Zachary Irwin was always coming over in the middle of the night.
Gradually, she also faded away.
Now that she had the chance, she was going to try to make things work in a good direction.
Whatever the outcome, at least give it a try.
What if he really accepted himself?
Soon, four dishes and one soup were served.
Jane Gardner savored each dish, carefully noting which ones had any problems in her palm-sized notebook of random notes.
"Boom!"
Suddenly, a large hand appeared in front of Jane Gardner's eyes.
Following that, the whole table was lifted up!
The dishes she had just made spilled onto the floor in a single stream.
The delicate porcelain plates collided with the marble, and the shards made an ear-splitting sound on the floor.
"Well!"
Before she could see who it was, Jane Gardner's collar was yanked up.
It was only then that she realized how angry Zachary Irwin was at this moment.
"I originally thought you were just a money grubber and a lover of vanity at best, but now it seems that you are extremely deep and powerful, since you have the ability to make grandma force me to live with you?"
"Jane Gardner, you are good! Next, I will let you know that in this world, those who dare to count on me, Zachary Irwin, will only be able to get away with it!"
The fierce face is no longer the warm and calm, the once gentle and kind pupils are also filled with hostility.
Jane Gardner looked up at Zachary Irwin and wondered what had gone wrong.
"Zachary, I didn't ..."
"Shut up! My name is not for a lowly woman like you to call! You don't think you can really be my wife on the basis of a piece of paper?"
Yanking Jane Gardner fiercely to her side, Zachary Irwin looked down at her trembling eyelashes.
It seemed to me that three years ago, on her wedding night, she was lying underneath him in fear and helplessness like this.
At that time, he hadn't rejected her so much.
That night, he also had pity for her.
Looking at her pretty face but looking like she was crying, his brain couldn't help but recall the image of her begging for mercy underneath him.
Inexplicably, Zachary Irwin leaned down and grabbed her lips, despite the fact that Nanny Finn was still nearby.
Jane Gardner's mind went blank as Zachary Irwin moved. After three years of marriage, this was the first time he had ever kissed her on the lips.
Surprised, Jane Gardner noticed Zachary Irwin's hand gradually move down.
She panicked and tried to push him away, but was shackled to his movements.
Out of the corner of her eye Nanny Finn turned away awkwardly and Jane Gardner felt nothing but a feeling of humiliation spreading out from all her limbs.
"Mr. Irwin! Please let go of me! I didn't do it!"
Thinking of all that she had endured in silence since she got married, and thinking that the person in front of her was the lover she couldn't say anything about, Jane Gardner couldn't hold back her tears and they all fell down.
She no longer wants to pretend to be strong, let alone pretend to be considerate.
She just wants to show her true self, crying when she wants to cry, laughing when she wants to laugh.
No need to cater to anyone, nor to please anyone.
These three years, she is really too tired.
"You didn't do it? Then I asked to live with you? If I had known you were this kind of woman, I wouldn't have helped you seven years ago!"
Looking disdainfully at Jane Gardner, Zachary Irwin straightened his clothes and stretched out two fingers to wipe the corner of her lips as if in retrospect.
"However, although your character is not good, but the taste is not bad, live over, seems not as bad as imagined!"
No matter how shocked Jane Gardner was behind her, Zachary Irwin turned around and left in style.
"Young lady, your foot is injured, let me wrap it for you."
With a long sigh, Nanny Finn looked at Jane Gardner's ankle with a large blood stain, except for regret or regret.
She quite liked Jane Gardner, quiet and well-behaved, kind and enthusiastic, and wondered why the young master always had to misunderstand her.
As an outsider, she was able to stay in the Irwin family for decades precisely because she didn't do much.
So for Jane Gardner and Zachary Irwin between, she will not care much, only do their own part of the job.
Jane Gardner did not hear what Nanny Finn said, inside the mind, has been repeatedly replayed Zachary Irwin's sentence "If I had known you were such a woman, seven years ago I would not have helped you!
All along, she thought he had long since forgotten himself.
It turns out that he knew from the beginning that he was the girl he helped seven years ago!
Jane Gardner was laughing and crying at the same time.
Laughing is that he did not forget himself.
Crying is that he still disgusts himself.
"Jane, today is your birthday, your aunt has prepared a rich dinner for you, come back for dinner tonight."
Finally, it was the call from the phone that woke her up.
Listening to the long-lost kind words on the other end of the phone, she had the feeling of dreaming for a moment.
She had always been the least privileged in the family, and she was really uncomfortable with the sudden call from Moses Gardner today, with words full of concern.
"Dad? Dad?"
So, by reflex, she wanted to make sure she hadn't picked up the wrong phone or that it wasn't her dad on the other end.
"Silly girl, after so many years of marriage, daddy doesn't call you, and you don't know to go home to see daddy."
"I've been looking for a chance to apologize to you for what happened back then, but seeing that you're doing well now, I'm too embarrassed to bother you, you don't still hold a grudge against me, do you?"
Moses Gardner is extremely flattering, very afraid of not being able to convince Jane Gardner.
Not noticing Moses Gardner's wrongness, Jane Gardner was completely touched by him.
"No, no, I don't hold a grudge against Dad. Tonight, I'll be back."
She had always thought she had been forgotten by her family, but now it seemed that she still had a family, those people, were still her family.
Everyone makes mistakes, and she believed that it was not Dad's intention to do that incident, and he was heartbroken for her.
"Nanny Finn, it's my birthday, I'm going back to my mother's house for dinner tonight, if, if he comes back, you tell him."
Jane Gardner was in a noticeably better mood, but the mention of "he" still slowed her tone.
