Chapter 9: The Hell's Gate
Yes, Leviathan gave a devil kiss that she would never forget for the rest of her life.
Edelweiss looked into Leviathan's blue eyes which were only two inches away from her. She saw something strange, slowly there were strange sounds that sounded in her ears. Horrible screams from the humans who were in hell.
"Please...! Forgive us...!"
"It hurts...! Please...!"
"Help me...! Forgive me...!"
The scream was deafening, she felt there were so many people screaming in her ear. Edelweiss saw something very terrible. The sight of humans being burned by horrifying monsters. She saw fire, hot steam gushing from everywhere.
In front of her, she saw a brown-haired woman, naked with a very thin and dry body. The woman seemed to be walking towards her with limping steps.
"H-help...! Please help me...!"
Edelweiss gasped, seeing the woman's face which was so similar to hers. Her fear made her try to break Leviathan's kiss. But she was helpless, this man was so strong that he barely moved.
Leviathan broke the kiss, his cold eyes made Edelweiss have to see what hell was like. Leviathan smirked like the most terrifying of demons.
"How? Do you believe now, Edelweiss?" He said. Edelweiss froze. Just as Leviathan had said, she couldn't get a single word out of her mouth. Her body trembled, the only thing showing how much she was afraid were the tears that flowed from her eyes.
"I want to eat this!" Leviathan didn't seem to care at all about this poor girl he had frightened. He actually felt very happy because it seemed that Edelweiss finally believed that he was Leviathan the ruler of the ocean.
Edelweiss looked at Leviathan's back who was busy stuffing her food into his mouth.
"Damn! How dare he kiss a girl with that mouth! Unforgivable!" She thought. A flash of memory of the time they kissed a few minutes ago flashed through her head.
Heartbeat...
Her heart was beating fast, heat spread through her body. She had just kissed a strange man who had been following and bothering her since yesterday. She really couldn't believe this.
"Kiss? He kissed me? What a nuisance! He's been kissing so casually, now he's stealing my food instead! Unforgivable!" Her mind stirred. Despite feeling very upset, she knew that she couldn't do anything about it. This man was no ordinary human, at least that was what she currently believed.

"Edel, are you okay? Hey, why are you daydreaming?" A blonde haired girl tried to wake Edelweiss from her daydream. She tried to wave her hand right in front of Edelweiss's eyes.
Edelweiss who was too deep in thought looked like a dazed and confused girl. Another girl tried to pat Edelweiss on the shoulder and hoped this would wake her up.
"Hey, Edelweiss! Stop daydreaming!" She said.
Edelweiss gasped in surprise and with a dreamy look, she saw her two friends staring at her confused.
"Karen? Lisa? What's wrong?"
"Oh my God! What's wrong with you? You've been daydreaming since in the class. What happened?" Karen asked. She felt a little annoyed because their activities were a little disturbed.
"I'm sorry! I'm just a little dizzy!"
"Are you sick? Want me to take you to the clinic?"
"No, Lisa! Thank you, I'm fine! I've been having some weird things lately!"
"Weird thing? What is it?"
"I don't know if you guys will believe it or not, but this is going to sound so absurd!"
"Is that true?" Karen and Lisa looked at each other for a moment, then took a seat next to Edelweiss. They showed a look in their eyes that seemed to say that they were very curious about the strange incident that Edelweis had said.
"Don't laugh when I tell you, you understand?"
"Okay, take it easy! What's so weird about it that we have to laugh?"
"Okay, I'll ask before I say it! Have you guys ever seen a demon?"
"What? Demon? You mean like Lucifer, Asmodeus, Mammon?"
"Yeah! Like that! Have you guys ever met a demon before?"
"Wait a minute! What's wrong with the demon?" Karen rebutted. She didn't really understand this talk about demons.
"You've met the devil or not! Just answer my question!"
"No! I never and I have absolutely no intention of meeting them!" Lisa said. It was clear that she was frightened just by hearing the names of the terrible demons.
"I never! But you know, the famous eccentric literature student?" She asked.
"Who?"
"Sasha Browne, that weird girl who's always dressed all in black! Haven't you heard the rumors about her? She's said to be a devil worshipper!"
"Devil worshiper?" Lisa screamed in panic. Karen immediately covered Lisa's mouth with her hand.
"Don't shout! It could be terrible if anyone heard us!"
"Devil worship? But, where did the gossip come from?" Edelweiss asked. She didn't know that on this campus there was a student who was rumored to be a devil worshipper.
"I don't know! But the rumor has spread almost all over the campus and it seems a lot of people believe it!"
"How strange! What makes people think that she is a devil worshipper?"
"Wait! I'll show you something!" Karen took out her phone and typed something on the internet. She wanted to show a pentagram which is said to be a symbol of a devil worshipper.
"Pentagram? What does that mean?"
"Some people who claim to have known Sasha Browne in high school say she has a pentagram tattoo with Lucifer's head on the nape of her neck!"
"But that pentagram tattoo doesn't seem uncommon to have one!"
"Edelweiss is right! Tattoos like that have been used a lot!"
"I know! But the problem is that he also collects a lot of accessories and demon-themed books. I heard she is a devotee of Lucifer the demon lord!"
"Lucifer? Really?"
"Yes, that's the rumor! Of course there is a lot of other evidence that I can't say. But there are witnesses who say that Sasha has sold her soul to the devil!"
"Selling her soul to the devil? For what?"
"I don't know! Maybe she really wants something and believes that only the devil can grant her wish!"
