30- Ask And You Shall Receive
30- Ask And You Shall Receive
Imset's mouth immediately met hers, hot and wet as soon as she arrived. He tugged at her bottom lip, sucking it against his own.
"It's about time," he breathed between reassuring kisses along her jaw. It spoke of a million things Aisha couldn't put to words. Sex yes, obviously, but also longing and pain. They were different in so many ways and yet in their souls, she felt the loneliness and suffering had been the same. She didn't bother trying to sort out how it all made her feel, wrapping her arms around his shoulders instead, her legs around his waist. Aisha's back hit a hard surface--likely a wall--as Imset's hands roamed down along her thighs.
She had called him to ask a specific question, well more accurately a favor, but now she found that all she wanted to do was repeat last night. Him between her thighs. His tongue on hers. She felt like her body wasn't her own like all her hormones and physical needs superseded all reason.
"It was only one class," she insisted breathlessly as he broke the kiss. As if to point out that they hadn't been apart long enough to desire each other this strongly. The absence of him between her legs was becoming unbearable, leaving her grinding against him for more friction. Was it like this for everyone once they had sex--an insatiable need that seemed to explode as soon as she was around him?
"If it was hours, it felt like days," Imset said in a voice that raised her nipples, "I missed you. I need you again... and again..." he punctuated each word with a wet kiss against her neck, his hands cupping a breast under her shirt.
Aisha nodded, hooding her gaze to look behind his head and see they were in the middle of his room. Up until that point, she hadn't given a thought to where they were. His mouth on hers, his heat seeping into her clothes, was all that mattered. They could have been in the middle of the dining room and she wouldn't have batted an eye.
"Take what you need," she whispered. He made a rough sound and their clothing disappeared, her back hitting the bed in a bounce.
"What are you doing to me?" he pleaded against her skin as he kissed along her stomach. Imset's voice had dropped into a tone she'd never heard. One that held nothing but promises of pleasure, "I can't get you out of my head."
Rolling her over, Imset settled over the swell of her ass. He worked his broad hands against her shoulders, kneading muscles and pressing kisses down her back. Aisha sighed and as if on instinct, she wiggled her legs enough that his dick slipped into the crease of her thighs. He nudged forward, slowly pressing his head against the wetness he found there.
"I think I must be an idiot after all," he laughed against her hair, "To think I was sure I'd be bored out of my mind in the bedroom with a virgin. And here I am, so fucking hard for you I can't think straight."
Aisha clenched the sheets, turning her face into the bed enough that he almost didn't hear her beg him for more. Tilting her hips up eagerly, she showed him what she wanted. Aisha clenched against him as he pushed in. How much control was a god expected to have? He thought. Because he wanted to pound into her wet heat so hard, so fast he forgot every year he spent without. He wanted to cum with her name on his lips. Wanted to take her in every way he could imagine.
"Move, Imset," Aisha whined as he lost himself to the thought. She pushed herself down on him. Gods, did the fit have to be this tight? The angle this shallow? He could feel every soft inch as he moved faster, gliding her slickness on him at a pace that set her cheeks cushioning each thrust forward. His eyes closed briefly as he willed himself to not feel so intensely. It was like he had no control over himself when they were together.
Aisha gripped the bed harder, the sound she made a mix of bliss and frustration. He interlocked their fingers against the mattress, pushing hard and deep enough that she wretched her head to the side. Imset pounced, stealing her lips to join them in every way he could. His tongue claimed her.
Another stroke had her clenching around him like a vice, her noises growing feverish and so low he felt the sounds all the way to his toes. He would bottle those sounds, memorize the exact shape and feel of her so he could never forget.
"Fuck," Aisha cried, her voice hoarse with emotion and it wrecked him. Imset dragged his hands up to her hips, widening his legs as he plunged down and down and down until there was no more of him to take. Another stroke had him mindless, eyes rolling backward. She grabbed his wrist, his name a strangled cry of pleasure as she crashed into an orgasm.
And the sight of her wet and spread, undone so completely around him had Imset barking her name as he came.

"I'm not taking you with me," Imset furrowed his brow, stepping out of the shower to wrap a towel around himself. He'd let her wash first, if only to avoid taking her again at the sight. She was a need he could never satisfy. Aisha had managed to put on another shirt and pair of his briefs, "Don't you have homework? Or studying to do back in the human world?" Oddly enough his tone wasn't dismissive even though her degree probably wasn't that important compared to godly duties. But the comment annoyed her anyway because she did have homework and studying to do. And damn if she hadn't ignored her boss's texts for days too. She'd be lucky if she still had a job. Did any of that matter anymore?
Her whole life seemed to have shifted overnight. Everything that had mattered before Aiko went missing didn't matter anymore. At least, not in the same way. Aisha couldn't help feeling guilty about that. Like somehow she'd let herself down by spending three years focusing on a degree she now didn't care to finish. She felt like she was becoming someone else… or maybe becoming more like herself... and the catch was that she didn't know if it was a good thing or not. What did she really have in her old life to go back to?
"You have to take me with you," she shrugged, dismissing his other questions. "The other night you said you'd do anything I asked."
Aisha refocused on what she needed from the barely covered god in front of her. She forced her eyes to stay on his because falling back into bed wasn't going to help right now. Trying to pretend her skin wasn't on fire was a harder feat. She wasn't sure what sex with gods was supposed to be like but her insides might as well have been molten. Like a furnace always set too high whenever he was around.
Imset cut his eyes at her, walking closer than necessary as he passed her to get to his closet, "I wasn't in the right frame of mind when I said that."
"So, you're a liar?" she pursed her lips, smirking when he sighed dramatically.
Imset turned, opened his mouth in a scowl, then turned back to his clothes, "Fine." Why did he say that? It was anything but fine. He’d never taken anyone to work with him. Ever. It was… sometimes who he became when he was enacting wrath… it was different than how he’d been in the pyramid. That was a controlled environment. His work was not controlled and neither was he.
"And why are you wearing regular clothes? I thought you always wear your-- wait, what? Fine?" she couldn't help the excitement in her voice.
"If I'm summoned, I show up however I choose. If I'm going to do my job, I try to dress accordingly," he grumbled. "And yes I said FINE, I'll bring you on one condition, you tell me why you want to go. And don't try the 'I'm just curious shit', Aisha."
She blinked away when he dropped his towel, but not before he caught her looking, "Consider it like research," she sighed.
"I'll need more than that. I'm not even sure you know what you're asking for."
"I saw something that made me mad at school today and I'm feeling ready to finish out my revenge but--" Aisha nervously toyed with her fingers. "I want to know what you're capable of. Kind of like-- gods this sounds twisted-- like brainstorming?"
If last night's events had taught him anything, it was that there was quite a bit going on in that beautiful head of hers that he didn't understand. Who was Aiko? The questions she'd asked Josh had confused him and the answers had upset her. He needed to know what that person had to do with Aisha. And more importantly, why did it seem that Aisha hadn't been interested in avenging herself at all? He didn't like the thought of her suffering in silence so it was time he actually applied some effort in getting to know his new consort. Especially if he was planning to make her his wife sooner rather than later.
"What made you mad enough to start brainstorming torture, عزيزى?" He pushed frizzy, sex-roughened curls out of her face.
"What does Aziza mean?" repeating the Arabic word back to him as best she could.
Imset ran a thumb over her cheek, "Dear one." He said it softly under his breath, "Now answer the question."
Aisha tried hard to shake off the word and the gentleness in his tone. So much had already changed between them that she couldn't really fathom anything more. She was comfortable with lust. She was comfortable with having agreed to be his consort to an extent... But the idea of a final test... of becoming his wife? Aisha felt a lump forming in her throat. Outside of Aiko she had no one. And a god, a powerful deity who lived and breathed the same things that interested her, wanted to make her his forever. She wasn’t prepared for it.Â
Then she thought of the power each wife likely inherited and she swallowed the lump. She would never be powerless again. She could cling to that.
"I don’t want to talk about it," Her voice ended in a surprised squeak as Imset pulled her up into a kiss.Â
"You're lying," he mouthed. And between his gentle touch and reassuring eyes, she finally told him about Aiko and why she hated the men so much.
When Aisha had finished speaking, Imset pushed her hair out of her face and inspected her closely. She wasn't moving. He had the power to pause time for humans. Well, it wasn't really paused, but it was slowed enough that it would buy him a little while before she noticed he was gone. She'd just shattered his entire perception of their situation. But he could tell that she was keeping the full breadth of her emotions to herself. And he needed to understand how he'd missed the signs, how he'd ever considered her a selfish human like all the others he'd met.
When he stopped to consider it, Imset realized he'd never been asked to avenge someone else. For a being as old as he was, this was a first. He didn't even think he could still have firsts but with Aisha he was experiencing one. He wondered how many more new things she might bring into his life.
Try his father said. And this was him taking another step to do just that. Imset leaned down to kiss her forehead, realizing he could stare at her all day. Such a difference between now and the last week they'd spent around each other.
But he couldn't get caught up in that. He had something he needed to do. Pulling his dreads back up, he fashioned his towel in place and disappeared from the room, appearing in her apartment instead.
His eyes searched for anything out of place but the apartment was spotless. The room was like seeing behind the curtain of Aisha's eyes, though he had always been too determined not to notice. Much of what he wanted to know about her would be here. And specifically, what he needed to know about Aiko had to be here as well.
He started by going through her bookshelf, looking through her collection of texts. She had a lot of dystopian novels, romances, and thrillers. Some classics, some books on Egyptology, and several notebooks.
Pulling one notebook out, he flipped through the first pages. Imset realized it was poetry she'd written, or more accurately, song lyrics. Maybe she liked to sing? He closed the book and selected another. In this one, he found what looked like a running conversation between two people. He could only tell by the change in handwriting and pen ink. And by the looks of the notebook, this was a conversation that continued on for quite some time.
Imset knelt to look through her DVD collection. Seeing it was nothing but horror movies and thrillers, he sucked his teeth. How could she not like action movies? He would have to remedy that.
Moving on to her bathroom, he saw nothing out of the ordinary, noting the kind of body wash and hair products she used for later. He flipped through her clothes, sending each item to his closet without a second thought. Now bare of clothes, he finally noticed the crate stuffed in the corner. He picked it up and took it to the bed.
Shifting her blanket off the bed, Imset set everything down. More books on ancient deities, occultist books, figurines of Horus. He rolled his eyes. Why was it so annoying that she worshipped his father? He found some sketches of the eye of Horus tattoo that was on the back of her neck. Had it been any other deity, he would have raised hell about her marking herself. But as it was his own father, he tried to find the humor in it. That tattoo had brought them together, whether she knew it or not.
Imset sorted through the statuettes and talismans, then got up and went through her desk drawers where he found several polaroid photos of a cute girl, arms draped across Aisha in some kind of booth. He read the bottom and saw they were at a state fair. They both looked so young. There were others taken on what appeared to be birthdays. Some taken in a backyard. A few taken of the girls at school. It was like watching Aisha grow up before his eyes.
And it didn't take much deduction to figure out that the other girl, the one with black hair and green eyes, was Aiko. She'd gone to school with Aiko, most likely had those notebooks with her too. And the more Imset looked through her photos, the more he realized there weren't any photos of anyone else. No family. No other friends. They'd spent the last few years together with Aiko as Aisha's only connection to the world. And now he knew her best friend was gone. Likely dead.
It pained him to think of her alone for these few weeks. Lonely. Like he had been throughout his life. But at least he had his family. She had no one. No one except him and the family he had introduced her to.
Imset studied the other photos. They seemed close and Aisha seemed happier than he'd seen her as of late. Funny faces, goofy poses. He focused on Aisha's smile, realizing he'd never seen her smile like that before.
Pinching the bridge of his nose, he knew that was yet another failure on his part. And his brother's words about regretting his actions made him queasy. He held onto the photos as he sifted through more school supplies and doodles. Satisfied that he'd found everything there was of interest, Imset returned to the old world and positioned himself in exactly the same place Aisha would remember.
He resumed time just as a tear slipped from Aisha's eye. She blinked and his thumb was there to wick it away.
"I'm sorry I never asked," he told her honestly, "That I never tried to understand you.”
His voice went hoarse as he thought of what Mutef had said the day before, “I wish I could undo that... but I can't."
"I should have told you from the beginning… it’s as much a part of this as the attack on me... but it just felt like--"
"I never gave you a reason to. I insulted you. I belittled you. You had been attacked and I dismissed every ounce of fear and pain you had… I wouldn't have deserved to be told. Let alone to be accepted by you. If I were in your shoes I would have been disgusted." His eyes lowered in shame.
But Aisha only laughed, "Trust me, I tried to be. I should have been but instead, I found myself..."
"Interested?" his eyes warmed. He cleared his throat and changed tracks, "So you're interested in my work?" he smiled. "You'll need real clothes then."
He looked down at her in just a pair of his boxers and a shirt.
"Aht! No more of your clothes. My clothes, please, " she corrected. "Also why do you have so many regular clothes but you never wear any of them?"
"Neith," he sighed. "She doesn't listen when I tell her not to buy me outfits for my birthday, but here we are. She says they humanize us."
Aisha looked down the nearly endless hallway of clothing, whispering, "If this is all from your birthday, you're old as fuck."
"I changed my mind," he growled playfully. "I want to stay in bed and teach you some manners."
Aisha smacked his hand away, "CLOTHES!"
