Chapter 65: Past I

“Where am I?” Skylar said as he opened his eyes to find himself lying on comfortable bed like he hadn’t laid in such a long time.

“You’re home son” he heard a voice come in from the door, the man looked like he was in his late fifties with white beards and white hair, his body physique built like a god.

“Who are you?” Skylar said looking at the man with so much suspicion in his eyes.

“I’m your father, the vampire king” Damien said and Skylar looked away from him like he was hiding his emotions.

“Where have you been all this while? I had to live such s difficult life hiding who I was and trying my most possible best to fit in where I didn’t belong” Skylar said feeling very emotional.

“Many years ago, I fell in love with a woman whom I cherished dearly and I wanted to give her the whole world and make her my very own wife but that didn’t work out well” he said and paused after a while.

“What happened?” Skylar said after a long moment of silence.

“I thought her heart to myself but I guess I was very wrong, she was in love with another man and this man turned out to be Edward Quinn, your adoptive father” Damien said and paused as he patted Skylar’s back while he coughed. He continued patting but the cough wasn’t stopping instead Skylar suddenly passed out in his arms and his body shook violently.

“Guards!!” Damien screamed on top of his voice as he tried to alert the guards that were just outside the door and they came in immediately.

“Get me the physician up here now” Damien said loudly and they followed his instructions immediately.

Without any hesitation, the physician rushed in with his medicine bag, he knew what was wrong with him immediately and poured some liquid into his mouth and his body went still but he was still unconscious.

“What happened?” Damien said feeling bery worried for his son.

“He’s suffered a pot of trauma that only his body cannot take so it’s affected his soul and now instead of hearing the past from people, his soul will use its power to take him back in time to see it himself, he is a very strong vampire, death is the least of his problems for now.

Meanwhile In Skylar’s soul travel to the past…

“Edward, i have something to tell you” she said as she held his hand in hers.

“What is it my love?” Edward said as he looked deeply into her eyes.

“I’m pregnant Edward” she said with a tinge of fear evident in her voice.

“What!! How can you be pregnant? How many times have we slept together?” Edward said in a loud voice as he sprung up from the bed where he sat.

“Twice Edward and those two times you released inside of me” Antonia replied matching the tone he used on her.

“Do you know I’m betrothed to another?” Edward said as he began pacing around the room worriedly.

“I know that and now I am carrying your child, we can be together” she said as he eyes lightened up in excitement that Edward didn’t seem to share with her.

“Never, you are a low born, my father will never allow, never” he replied with a low threatening voice.

“I really thought you loved me Edward, I really thought you were ready to fight for the love we have” she said as tears flowed down her eyes go her cheeks.

“How will I stand up for you? My father will have both our heads in a spike before we even think of saying a word” Edward said and walked out leaving her there all by herself.
