Chapter 61: Ceremony
Elaine was so excited about the ceremony, she waited patiently for her wounds to heal fully before she began to make any plans for the mating ceremony that will be held in the White stone citadel.
“Uncle Lewis” Elaine said smiling brightly as she saw her uncle at the door of her room.
“Elly, how are you doing?” He said smiling as he walked up to her bed and sat next to her.
“I’m doing alright, my wounds are healing just fine.” she said smiling brightly.
“You’re getting married soon” he said with a blank expression on his face.
“Yes I am and it’s Edgar, don’t you like him?” she said looking a bit worried.
“I do like him but don’t you think everything’s rushed?” Lewis said and Elaine looked down to think about what he said.
“I don’t think so Uncle, I love Edgar and he loves me, there is no rush here, we’re meant for each other” she replied and Lewis smiled.
“That’s good, I came in here scared that you were going to be unsure of the decision you’ve made but I was wrong, you’re quite certain and I love it. Many people will come with you with their opinions about how you both cannot get married because you both are alphas of your packs and there will be a clash of interest. Never listen to them, this is your marriage not theirs and they wouldn’t help you out if anything played out wrongly” Lewis said and she smiled brightly very happy that her uncle was by her side.
“When your parents got married, there were so many against it because your mother came from a lowly family but your father never allowed them to intimidate her, he brought her up and polished her into a fine woman that he took to galas and balls as his queen regardless of what people had to say about it.
“I never knew that all this happened with my parents” Elaine said surprised that she’ve never heard the story before.
“It’s not a story they like to tell but it is what happened” Lewis said.
“My dear, I want you to make sure of one thing, that you put your marriage first and make sure that nothing of little importance comes between you and your mate, you both are one and you shouldn’t let anything change that, I will be with you every step of the way you don’t need to worry about anything” Lewis said holding her hand in his as he smiled at her.
“I’m so happy for you my dear” he said.
“Thanks Uncle, I want to ask you something important” Elaine said.
“Anything for you my dear” he replied.
“I want you to represent my father and walk me down the aisle” she said and he paused for a while to take it all in.
“It will be an honor my dear, I will be more than happy to do it. Words can’t express how I feel right now” Lewis said with his eyes full of emotions.
“Thank you Uncle Lewis” she said as she drew closer and gave him a warm hug.

As the days turned into weeks, Edgar and Elaine threw themselves into the preparations for their mating ceremony so much enthusiasms and excitement. The glen they had chosen as their venue began to transform into a magical space, adorned with colorful flowers and beautiful candles.
In the white stone citadel where both red stone and blue stone pack now lived, the excitement for the upcoming ceremony spread like wildfire, this was so important to them that they offered their skills and talents to make this event unforgettable, members of the green stone pack not wanting to be left out came from their home to the white stone pack to celebrate with them and enjoy the feast.
“I cannot believe all of them are here for us” Elaine said to Edgar as she looked down from her window unto the courtyard that was filled with werewolves who have come from far to experience the wedding ceremony between alphas of the two great packs.
“They’re here for us love, for our legendary union” Edgar said pulling her in and giving her a warm kiss.
“We’re the first alphas to unite our packs through a mating ceremony, our names will be in the books of history forever” he said smiling at her.
“Yes, side by side as Edgar Knight and Elaine Peregren” she said.
He stood beside her, his arm around her waist as they gazed out at the bustling courtyard below. The sight was indeed breathtaking, a testament to the unity and strength their love will bring to the four packs.
"It's truly remarkable," Edgar replied, his voice filled with gratitude.
"It is" Sapphire smiled, her eyes shimmering with pride.
As the days counted down to the ceremony, the preparations continued to intensify. The grove in the glen had transformed into an enchanting space, with every detail carefully considered. Flowers of vibrant reds and blues intertwined with lush greenery, creating a stunning backdrop for the ceremony. Candles, some red and some blue, were strategically placed to represent the merging of their two worlds.
In the citadel, the kitchen was a hive of activity, with pack members from both sides coming together to prepare a grand feast. The scent of delicious dishes filled the air, tantalizing the senses of those who passed by.
Invitations had reached far and wide, not only to neighboring packs but also to other supernatural beings who had friendly relations with the red and blue stone packs. The celebration was going to be a gathering of diverse cultures, a true testament to the couple's desire for unity.
As the sun set on the eve of their ceremony, casting a warm glow over the courtyard, Edgar and Elaine stood hand in hand once more, this time looking out at the crowd of well-wishers who had come to witness their union.
The excitement filled the air and they knew that tomorrow would mark the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, one filled with love, responsibility, and the promise of a brighter future for both the red and blue stone packs.
The morning of the mating ceremony arrived with a sense of excitement and nervousness that seemed to electrify the entire citadel. As the first rays of the sun painted the sky with shades of red and blue, it was as if nature itself was celebrating the union of the red stone and blue stone packs.
In the courtyard of the citadel, the guests began to arrive. Other alphas, dignitaries from neighboring packs, and even supernatural beings from distant realms had come to witness this historic event.
Elaine wore a white traditional dress adorned with blue and red roses and fabric to signify that she’s getting married to someone from another pack and is merging two worlds into one.
She walked out side and unto the courtyard that was empty because everyone was at the glen waiting for her arrival.
She met her uncle and he looked so happy to see her, their eyes locking onto each other. In that moment, Lewis remembered just how beautiful her mother was on her wedding day and it made him stop and remember her.
"You look so beautiful my dear" Lewis said to Elaine, his voice filled with adoration.
"You're not so bad yourself Uncle" she replied with a playful grin, her heart fluttering with happiness.
Lewis and Elaine entered and every eye turned to look at them, Edgar was stunned to see how beautiful Elaine was, she had never been more this enticing to his eyes.
She final got to where he stood and she smiled beautifully at him he couldn’t speak, all he did was smile and look at her with tears filling his eyes.
“You look so beautiful” Edgar said after some moments and used his hand to wipe the tears that trickled down his face.
“Don’t cry” she said looking concerned as she cupped his cheeks in her hand and gave him a bright smile.
“Believe me, they’re all tears of joy” Edgar said and chuckled.
The ceremony began with the exchange of howls, a powerful declaration of their love and it echoed through the citadel and into the forest.
They moved through with the rituals, their hands bound together with the cord made from wolf fur, symbolizing their unbreakable bond. The unity candle, when lit by both of them, sent a message to all who watched.
The pack members looked on with pride, knowing that their leaders had chosen love over hate and unity over division.
The ceremony concluded, the glen erupted in applause, and the couple sealed their vows with a passionate kiss.
“Edgar!!!!!! You think you’ve won, well I have something for you” Skylar said from a distance as his men threw certain substances towards the crowd that sat witnessing the wedding.
Few men stood up from the crowd and threw the same thing and it erupted a blue gas, it was definitely poisonous and within seconds, everyone fell to the ground leaving Edgar, Elaine and Brandon standing in place staring down at several bodies.
“Skylar you better be damn sure that this is the fight you want” Edgar said with anger and rage as his eyes turned black, he tapped into his corrupt soul which will make him more deadlier than usual.
“You’re damn right it’s what I want” Skylar replied approaching the centre of the glen where the three of them stood.
“Let the war begin then” Elaine said.
