Chapter 56: Reunions And Happy Times

Astrid’s POV:

The doorbell was rung by Charlotte.

“Who is at—” Noah stopped as he saw me. His face became totally frozen. He gulped down a lump in his throat and did nothing but stare blankly.

I decided not to speak anything because I was very angry. I would only shout if I open my mouth.

“Who’s there Noah?” Xander asked as he came from inside. He looked at us and smiled, and then looked at Charlotte. At that time, I saw longing in his eyes.

Does he like her??

“Oh..” Xander said. Noah suddenly took my wrist and then headed somewhere outside near the road.

“Why are you here?” he asked looking at the ground, as we neared a park.

“Oh yeah. It’s easy.. isn’t it? For you?” I asked. He looked at me with confusion. “You left me. You left me like that and it’s easy for you because I think you don’t love me!” I yelled.

“D-don’t say that..”

“Then why did you go?” I asked sternly.

“I-I.. your mom hates me. How much would she hate me to say that on my face?”

“She is like that” I reasoned. “She speaks like that. And the most important thing is that you didn’t tell her how much you did for me”

“That.. that doesn’t matter”

“Why?” I asked.

“I-I am not coming back..” he said. I looked at him with rage.

Not coming back, huh?

“So you are saying that you never loved me?” I asked. His eyes showed pure shock and hurt.

“W-will you stop saying tha—oh god, I-I—”

“What? If you do, then why?”

“I-I love you Astrid.. I-I please don’t… don’t doubt it, I-I”

I am sorry, but I have to.

I know you will come back this way.

“No,” I said. “You don’t love me.”

He looked at me and then he cried. Tears streamed down his face. He was helpless and the reason was me. “N-Noah...”

“Y-you...even you don’t trust me.. I-I am sorry,” he said and started going back.

“So you won’t even try?” I asked him on the verge of crying myself.

“What can I try, Astrid? I don’t have any options. I can’t return, I can’t do anything”

“At least prove that you loved me” I said. He then turned around and kept his hands on my cheeks.

“I love you” he said and closed his eyes. “Will always do even if I die. I don't have anyone else than you and Xander. You are my love and my life”

“Noah.. ” I said. He nodded his head in denial. “This is the end, Astrid. We can’t be together” he said and turned. I took his hand. I turned him around and kissed him fully. He was totally surprised by this.

I continued kissing him until he kissed me back, trust me, this is the best experience ever.

Then we pulled away.

“I love you Noah and you aren’t going away” I said. He looked at me.

“I-I love you too, but your mom—”

“That’s gonna be fine” I said. He smiled.

“Really?” he asked. I nodded.

He suddenly kept his hands on my cheeks again. “You know what? You aren’t getting away this easily” he said and pulled me in a kiss again.

After a brief beautiful moment, he pulled back.

“You seem nervous, Noah?” I said. He looked quite nervous.

“W-well yeah, it was my first kiss” he said. I looked at him in shock.

First kiss, really!?

“Really?” I asked.

“Yeah” he said. “I didn’t mess up, did I?”

“No.. it was beautiful” I said.

He smiled beautifully. “I am sorry Noah. I-I couldn’t give you my first kiss”

He thought for a second and then spoke, “But wasn’t it your first true kiss?”

“Yes”

“That’s enough” he said. I smiled.

“Are you happy that I took your first kiss?” I asked nervously.

“You are the only one who I wanted to give it to” he said shyly. I smiled and blushed at the same time. I saw blush creeping to his neck.

“You know what? You’re as red as a tomato” he said.

“And so do you!” I snapped back. He took out his phone and suddenly took a pic. Then he showed me the pic.

“Look! You are visibly red!” he said.

I took out my phone and clicked his pic too. “And you too!” I said. We both smiled and laughed.

“BUT” I said in a serious tone.” I haven’t forgiven you!” I said.

He sighed. “Okay.. I want to make it up to you. Tell me anything that you want”

“Anything?”

“Yes”

“I need four things” I said. He nodded. “First” I Said.

He looked at me keenly. I love that look.

“Promise to never leave me. And this promise should be the one that would never be broken” I said.

“Okay, but.. firstly, we need to talk with your mom, I mean—”

“Okay” I said and called my mom. She picked it up. Then I put it on ‘facetime’.

“What the hell are you doing?” he whispered in my ears.

“Nothing much” I replied, and my mom picked the facetime call too.

“Mom, I’m here with Noah. Mom, I am gonna tell you what Noah has done for me” And with that I told her almost everything that has happened and every time he helped me. She was almost in tears.

“Noah, I am so sorry for what I said.. She is so lucky to have a friend like you!” mom said. I smiled, and so did he. The call ended.

“Now I promise you with my heart that I am not going to leave you no matter what happens” he looked at my eyes and said everything with sincerity. I smiled and nodded.

“Second” I said. “This” I said and pulled him into a kiss. He reacted with the same passion. He even let me dominate it.

He got away and was again blushing.

Well, I know I was too.

“Third?” he asked.

"Well, I have to beat you, that I would probably do sometime later" I said. He looked at me with shock and then started smiling.

"I'd love to get your beatings"

"Oh sure that I will see later that how much you'll love it" I winked.

"Okay. And the last is..?"

“Come with me” I said.
