Astrid's POV:

I was lying in my bed. He's going away from me, and I can't do anything. I'm pathetic, right? But what can I do? I'm hating him. He left me. He didn't think that I can't live without him. He's not picking up my calls. I called him from my mother's number too. He picked it up but after listening to my hello, he blocked it.

What's gonna happen?

I will lie here and let my love go away?

Will it all end right now?

Suddenly someone called me.

"Hey, I'm Charlotte. You're Astrid, right?" she said.

"Y-yes" I said.

I don't hate Charlotte. Whatever her brother did is not her fault. But it's like.. I don't like her either.

"Do you know where is Noah?" she asked.

Why does she want to know?

"I don't know.."

"Listen. We are just like siblings, so don't misunderstand anything. Now listen. Tell me what happened? He messaged me that he's leaving California?"

"Charlotte.." I tried to act strong, but her name came out more like a sob. "It's my fault! My.. My mother told h-him to go away from me..!!"

"It's okay Astrid. It’s not late. I think he must be in New York" she said.

"Eh? How?"

"Xander is also there" she said.

"Xand—oh, his friend?"

"Yes. So, he's probably there. But I'm not confident, okay?"

"Let's go"

"Really?" she asked.

"Let's go. Can you come with me?" I asked because I know my mother isn't gonna allow me to go alone.

"Yes I can"

"So.."

"I'm gonna be at your house. When are we leaving?"

"Right now. Come please"

"Okay, I'll be there" she said, and the call was hung up.

I'm coming Noah.

I changed my clothes into some decent ones. I went down.

"Mom. I'm gonna go bring back Noah" I said.

"But he isn't here, I guess... Do you know where he is?" she asked.

"Yes mom and I'm going to New York" I said.

"Have you lost your mind? You aren't—"

"Mom please don't stop me!" I yelled.

"But Astrid.."

"I'm going with a friend. Please mom"

"Who's she?" mom asked.

"she's gonna come here any moment"

"Are you sure you wanna go?"

"Yes mom!"

"Okay.." she said.

I know she accepted because she's regretful about Noah. And she's the type who would do anything to get out of regret.

You know, regretful life is hell.

Charlotte came and then we both headed towards the airport in my car.

Noah's POV:

I arrived in New York.

I wonder how beautiful it would have been with her.

I went to Xander's house. I messaged him earlier that I am coming. He was so happy.

I rang the doorbell.

"Hey, Noah!" he said excited and hugged me.

"Hey Xan"

"So tell me why are you here?" he asked as we sat down in the living room.

"Where are your mom and dad?" I asked.

"Well my mom is still in hospital, and dad is staying the night so"

"Oh" I said.

"So don't change the topic and tell me the truth" he demanded.

"I'm here to meet you" I said cheerfully.

"And I'm gonna believe you!" he said.

"Huh, yes"

"Those both were lies. So just tell me the truth!!"

"Well.. Listen. Astrid's mom hates me and don't want me around her" I confessed.

"Because you told her the half-truth" he said.

"Doesn't matter" I said.

"You need to tell her how much you did for her!"

"No. I won't. She must be right. I don't deserve her" I said.

"Really Noah?"

"Yes" I said.

"Has she called you?"

"I blocked her" I said plainly.

"You are hurting her so much by this, you know that?"

"I can't do anything else.."

"Oh god, Noah.." he sighed. "Let's eat something first"

"Hm" I said. He brought us some food and we ate it.

"So now what?" he asked.

"What will I do without her anyways?" I asked him.

"Come on. You have a plan"

"I don't. I sure have a suicide plan.."

"Shut up Noah!" he said. "Do something. Talk to her. Explain her"

"No" was my plain reply. I am not gonna tell her anything.

"Rot in hell" he said.

"With you" I replied.

Astrid's POV:

We got to New York fast. I asked Charlotte about the house.

"Well, I can ask Xander" She said.

"But he will get idea that we are I mean searching Noah.. What if Noah goes away..."

"It's fine. He won't tell Noah. And I'm in contact with him, so I can ask" she said scrolling through her phone.

"Okay" I said. She asked Xander and he replied with his location.

We drove to his house.

Right now we are standing in front of his house's door.

Let's know how you will run away now, Noah.

Get ready to die.

Charlotte patted my shoulder, and I rang the doorbell.
