Chapter 7
The beach house where Samantha and Damon would temporarily stay was just as beautiful as the island.
Her eyes widened and her mouth fell open as she looked around the house. The whole house was painted white to make it look neater and more elegant. The open living area was rear-facing and combined the living room, dining room, and kitchen into one great space.
Damon pointed to a closed door. "That is the master suite, where I will be staying." He then looked at her. "If you need anything, just call me," he continued.
She just quietly followed Damon when he started walking until they reached the upper floor of the house. The upper floor had two bedrooms and a room filled with bunk beds where guests could sleep. Damon stopped in front of another closed door. He took the key that was in his pocket and then opened the door.
"This will be your room," Damon said as they entered the room.
She was once again impressed when she saw the inside of the room. The room was large. There was a large bed in the middle. The room also had its own bathroom and walk-in closet.
"Wow," was the only thing she could say.
She faced Damon again when he began to speak. "For now, get some rest. I'll call you when it's time for lunch," Damon said.
She just nodded in response. Damon nodded back before leaving the room.
Samantha was still almost gaping as she continued looking admiringly around the room. "This room is splendid. It's like I'm in a hotel," she whispered.
She looked at the big bed, and suddenly, her eyes lit up. The bed was so big that three people could easily fit in it. She excitedly ran towards the bed and jumped onto it, lying down with her face in the sheets. She rolled around on the bed, laughing.
"So soft!" she exclaimed.
She was still rolling around on the bed when the door to the room she was in suddenly opened, causing her to stop and turn around. She was so embarrassed when she saw Damon smiling while looking at her.
She gulped first before she sat in the middle of the bed.
"Looks like you love the bed," Damon said in a seemingly happy voice.
Samantha averted her gaze from Damon and crossed her arms. "W-what? Of course not! I-I…I'm just…just trying to distract myself from how annoyed I am!" she lied, still unable to look at Damon.
"Okay. If you say so," Damon replied, accompanied by a shrug. It was obvious from Damon's voice that he didn't believe her.
"What do you need? Are we going to have lunch now?" she asked, trying to change the subject.
"Not yet. I just forgot to ask you what you want to eat."
"Anything as long as it's delicious, non-toxic, and not laced with a love potion," she replied with a serious expression.
"I don't need to cast a spell on your food. You'll still end up falling for me," Damon said, causing her to look at him again.
She raised her brow at him. "Your confidence is really sky high. Damon, no matter what you do, I will never fall for you. I'd rather fall into the abyss than fall for you," she replied, sounding like she was disgusted.
Damon just shrugged. "If I were you, I wouldn't utter words that I might regret later," Damon arrogantly said with a smirk.
"If I have any regrets, it's that I gave myself to you and let you into my life," Samantha replied again, and this time, she was trying to piss Damon off.
She thought Damon would just grin, like he always did every time she insulted him. She didn't expect to see the seriousness on his face.
Damon finally entered the room and made his way towards the bed where she was sitting.
Her eyes widened. "What are you doing?" she asked nervously. But Damon did not answer. He continued to stare at her with a serious expression on his face, causing her heartbeat to speed up and intensify. Then Damon finally reached the bed and slowly climbed up, still not taking his gaze away from her.
Samantha planned to stand up and get away from Damon, but before she could do so, Damon grabbed her arm and stopped her from trying to get away. And she was shocked when Damon suddenly pulled her, causing her to lie down on the bed. Damon then got on top of her, pinning both her hands above her head.
"Running away again, I see," Damon whispered. The serious expression on his face disappeared, and his grin returned.
"Get off me," she said through gritted teeth, but Damon's grin only widened.
"What if I don't want to? What will you do?"
Samantha's jaw tightened. "Is this the reason you brought me here? Is this why you blackmailed me? Because you have bad intentions? Was this your plan all along?" she asked in pure anger.
Damon laughed, and it made her even angrier. Damon brought his face closer to her. "Are you saying that I planned all of this?" Damon shook his head. "That's a very, very strong accusation, Samantha." He brought his face even closer to hers, until their noses were only a few inches away. "You were the one who had phone sex with your boyfriend, masturbating and moaning loudly, without even checking if your door was locked. I just happened to pass by and realize that that moment was so beautiful that I had to preserve it. Bad intentions? Samantha, if anything happens between us today, here on this island, I won't be the only one that wants it. Because I'm sure that eventually, you'll surrender your body and yourself to me. Just like that first night."
Samantha gritted her teeth in anger. "Fuck you." That was the only rebuttal she could think of because she knew deep down that what Damon had said was true.
She may have been drunk that night, but that didn't change the fact that she had given her body to him. That she had ended up sleeping with him.
"Be careful what you wish for, sweetheart. It might come true," Damon answered, grinning maniacally.
Samantha wanted to spit in Damon's face, but she restrained herself.
"Get off me, Damon. You're not funny anymore," Samantha said again with a serious face.
Samantha's mouth was slightly open when Damon brought his face even closer. Their faces were touching now. "Who says I'm joking? If I made a move right now, I'll admit, you wouldn't like it—because you would love it." Damon's eyes went to her pouting lips. "And you would scream my name over and over again," he continued, which made her gasp.
"Pervert!" she said angrily, but Damon didn't seem to care.
Instead, his eyes seemed to burn as he stared at her lips. "Your angry face is turning me on," Damon said, and he bit his lower lip.
Samantha was about to yell at Damon when they heard a knock on the door. They both looked at the door, and Samantha's eyes widened in shock when she saw a group of men staring at them, grinning.
"Aw…did we interrupt something?" the man with gray hair asked, grinning from ear to ear.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Damon asked, frowning.
***
Samantha was restless in her seat as the group of men stared at her intently.
"So, you're Samantha?" the gray-haired man asked.
She just nodded in response. She couldn't even look directly at them. She felt very ashamed because of the awkward scene they'd all walked in on. The look they were giving her, as if they were examining her, wasn't helping either.
One of the men stood up and approached her. She looked at the man's face.
The man with black hair smiled genuinely at her, and she felt her cheeks turn red.
He is so handsome, she thought.
The black-haired man stretched his arm towards her, asking for a handshake. "Hi, Samantha. I'm Daniel, Damon's younger brother," he said, still smiling. She was surprised, and Daniel seemed to notice. "I know we don't look the same, but we are brothers," he said.
Samantha's mouth fell slightly open as she nodded.
She still couldn't believe it. The man in front of her now, Damon's younger brother, was very handsome. But he also looked kind. He reminded her of the kind and handsome men in her K and J dramas, who in the end, were still not chosen by the leading lady. He was also very pale, especially compared to Damon, who had tan skin.
"Uhm…would you mind shaking my hand?" Daniel said, and that was when she realized she hadn't moved yet.
She quickly glanced at Daniel's hand, which was still extended toward her.
"S-sorry!" she apologized and finally accepted Daniel's hand.
"It's fine," Daniel answered, still smiling at her after they shook hands. "By the way, we would like to apologize for suddenly barging in. Looks like we disturbed you two."
"Oh! No, no! It's nothing! I'm actually thankful that you guys came. Though, it's embarrassing," she said, blushing.
"Nah. Don't worry about it. We're pretty used to seeing that," the man with gray hair said.
"Yeah. It's no big deal," said the man with brown hair and blue eyes.
"Yeah," said the last man, who was wearing glasses and had no emotion on his face.
Samantha did not know where to focus her attention. The men in front of her were all too good looking for goodness' sake.
Daniel seemed to notice the restlessness on her face.
He whispered to her, "I'm sorry. They're really noisy and kinda messy, but don't worry, they're good guys."
Samantha smiled at Daniel. "It's fine. I'm just a little surprised," she answered.
Daniel confronted the men, who were talking amongst themselves noisily. "Okay, guys, why don't you introduce yourselves to Samantha?"
"That won't be necessary as all of you will be leaving now," Damon suddenly said, walking back into the room.
They all stared at Damon. Damon faced Daniel, who was standing next to her. The expression on Damon's face was serious. "These are the documents that you needed. Now leave. And bring these assholes with you," Damon said seriously.
Her forehead furrowed. Damon looked and sounded pissed.
"Wait, we've just arrived and you're already sending us away?" the gray-haired man complained.
"All of you are uninvited guests, so don't expect me to be welcoming." Damon's answer was still serious.
"You're being mean to us, Damon," said the man in a black leather jacket, pouting.
Samantha wanted to laugh at him. He looked manly, yet he was pouting, and she found it cute.
She looked at Damon again when she felt him staring at her. She raised an eyebrow at him. "What?" she asked.
Damon did not answer. Instead, he again confronted his brother and his friends.
"All of you should leave now. You're bothering us," Damon said to his friends.
The gray-haired man was about to complain, but Daniel spoke first.
"Alright, we're leaving. Sorry for the inconvenience." Daniel looked at her and smiled genuinely. "Nice to meet you, Samantha," he said.
She just nodded at Daniel, smiling in response. "Let's go, guys," Daniel said as he walked out.
"But—"
"Shut up, Rex. We'll mess with Damon next time," the man with brown hair said.
Samantha just smiled and shook her head as her gaze followed the men, who were still very noisy, especially the man with gray hair. But she immediately looked at Damon when he turned around and strode towards the kitchen.
"Damn it! How could she smile at them like that when she won't even do that with me," she heard Damon whisper, pissed.
Her forehead furrowed. "What's his problem?"
