The assistant reported to Daniel, "Mr. Davis, the president of HN Group, Mr. Wenger, has come to discuss collaboration!"
Daniel was surprised. He had been counting on HN Group for a big order in the second half of the year, but Winnie had negotiated several times in the past, and the other party had never budged. How did they suddenly...
Ava's eyes flickered. She walked out coquettishly and said, "Daniel, are you happy? I worked so hard to secure the HN order."
Daniel was pleasantly surprised. "You were the one who secured the HN order?"
Ava smirked; her eyes filled with cunning as she glanced at Winnie and nodded shyly.
"You're amazing, Ava!" Daniel exclaimed, unable to contain his affection towards her and kissed her cheek in front of everyone. He froze for a moment, instinctively looking towards Winnie.
The woman's face remained cold and expressionless. She appeared unperturbed by Daniel's intimacy with Ava, but for some reason, she felt uncomfortable.
"Ava, please bring President Wenger in. You will be in charge of the collaboration," Daniel gestured confidently.
Ava felt proud and glanced at Winnie, developing a sinister plan. She intentionally held onto her and said, "Winnie, I've secured the HN major deal that you've been wanting so badly. President Davis wants me to oversee the collaboration. Won't you stay, and see?"
Witnessing Ava's smug expression, a cold smile formed on Winnie's lips. As only Winnie knew how Ava had acquired the HN deal.
"Are you sure you want me to participate in the meeting?"
"Yes!" Ava couldn't wait to humiliate her further. Winnie sneered. "Then don't regret it."
Five minutes later, President Wenger walked into the conference room. Daniel and the other shareholders stood up to welcome him.
"President Wenger, greetings. I am Ava, the General Manager and Chief Designer of Eternity Jewelry Co., Ltd. It is an honor to have gained your attention," Ava said proudly, extending her hand.
"Hello!" President Wenger walked over and, noticing Winnie's exceptional beauty and sophisticated temperament, he asked, "Ms. Anderson, who is this?"
Ava's eyes showed contempt as she replied, "Oh, her? She's a former employee who was just fired by the company. She has a mental illness. I advise you not to go near her!"
President Wenger furrowed his brows, finding it hard to believe.
Returning to the topic, he smiled and said, "Ms. Anderson, I am quite satisfied with your final design submission. I came here today to sign a contract with President Davis, but I also wanted to hear your interpretation of your own work."
"Of course," Ava said, turning her head. "Assistant, please bring my design sketches."
Daniel smirked.
The shareholders below praised, "Ava truly has solid skills!"
"Winnie is just awful. She's still hanging around here. Is she not ashamed enough?"
With disdain in her voice, Ava curled her lips and had her assistant bring a stunning jewelry design portfolio. Winnie's eyes narrowed; those were all the sketches she had drawn!
Ava claimed them as her own, coldly flipping through the unique and exquisite designs one by one, astonishing everyone. Her eyes gleamed with ruthlessness. She had asked Winnie to stay so that she could witness how she had seized her designs, the major deal, and all the glory. She wanted to make Winnie suffer the heartache of humiliation.
"President, let me introduce my works to you..." Ava confidently began.
President Wenger shook his head, saying, "Ms. Anderson, you misunderstand. I actually want you to explain the design you submitted last."
As he spoke, he placed the sketches on the conference table. "Your design is stunning...
"Other than deviating from the norm by using blood-red gemstone in the heart of the blue ocean, are there any special implications in using Egyptian blood diamonds?"
Ava looked at the manuscript and was immediately dumbfounded. She knew all the previous manuscripts that Winnie submitted to HN and had memorized several creative points.
But this one, she had never seen before?! It was so complicated that she couldn't understand it at all. Ava looked up and happened to see Winnie's playful smirk. What's going on? What tricks had this wicked woman secretly played? Ava cursed inwardly.
"Ms. Anderson? Please explain your creative ideas," Wenger urged with a smile.
Ava's face turned red, a lump formed in her throat, and in front of everyone's eyes, she embarrassingly couldn't utter a word.
"I used Congo blood diamonds because..."
"Egyptian blood diamonds!" Wenger expressed surprise. Did she just mispronounce the name of her own creative idea?
Seeing Ava's unprepared and guilty appearance, Wenger furrowed his brows in confusion.
"Ms. Anderson, could it be that this artwork is not your creation at all?"
"How is that possible, of course it's mine!" Ava immediately argued.
"Then please explain it!" Wenger continued.
However, Ava's mind went blank and she became speechless. Winnie saw her sweating profusely and walked over with a cold smile. In front of the shareholders and Wenger, she pointed at the artwork and confidently explained,
"The artwork is using Egyptian blood diamonds because there is an Egyptian myth that the president especially likes. The designer understood your preferences, knowing that you love blood diamonds, and since sapphires are the main products sold by our company, I combined the two!"
Wenger looked at Winnie in amazement, "How were you able to explain such a perfect creative idea?"
Winnie smiled mysteriously, "Because I am the original creator of the blueprint!"
Wenger's eyes were stunned. The shareholders looked puzzled.
"Winnie, what nonsense are you talking about?!" Ava panicked and pushed Winnie away, her pale eyes quickly searching for a way out. She then complained,
"Wenger, this is definitely my original creation. It is well-known that I am a genius designer who just won the top prize at a city-level jewelry competition! Winnie, this design was supposed to be a joint effort between us. Did you secretly change the blood diamonds to make me unable to answer? Are you trying to ruin my collaboration with President Wenger?"
Concerned about the company's interests, the previously skeptical shareholders were now dissatisfied with Winnie.
However, Wenger furrowed his brow and said directly, "Who among you is the original creator of the manuscript? I won't meddle in the internal disputes of your company, but for my big contract, I will only collaborate with designers who have the capability!"
Winnie clenched her fists and looked at the manuscript she had worked so hard on, now being defended by Ava's repeated deceit and slander.
She felt a heart-wrenching pain. A city-level competition award? Huh, she had won it for Ava!
Since the opportunity presented itself, she might as well take a chance!
"Actually, proving who is the original creator of the artwork is not difficult at all! Mr. Wenger, shareholders, next month there is a provincial-level jewelry competition. Why don't Ava and I agree to join the competition. Whoever wins, gets Wenger's cooperation and returns to Triton as the general manager!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Ava, Daniel, and the shareholders faces changed dramatically. Winnie was trying to go back to Triton Company!
Ava immediately opposed, "Winnie, you’re suggesting such a reckless bet? You've never won an award, so I don't want to see you embarrass yourself."
Daniel also knew Winnie's capabilities and didn't want her to continue, "Are you done fooling around? Assistant, please escort the resigned employee out..."
"I think what this young lady said makes sense! I'll take my cooperation based on the outcome of the competition!" Wenger pondered and made a decision, "Mr. Davis, I'm disappointed today, so the contract is canceled. Goodbye."
"Wenger..." Daniel quickly got up and went after him.
The shareholders were also very anxious, as this was the biggest deal for the company!
Seeing their expressions, Ava pretended to sigh, "Winnie, you ruined today's big deal just to go back to the company. I won't play this childish game with you."
"What's the matter, afraid to compete with me? Afraid to expose that you're a fraud?" Winnie taunted with a cold smile.
One of the shareholders glared at Winnie angrily, "You are jeopardizing everyone's interests and overestimating yourself. Ava, you should compete with her! You are a first-class award winner at the city level. Who is she in comparison?"
"There were rumors before that Winnie plagiarized your work. Don't go easy on her. Teach her a lesson in this competition!"
"That's right! You are a design genius. Even if Winnie had ten years, she couldn't beat you. Let's see her make a fool of herself!"
Not a single shareholder held Winnie in high regard and thought she would lose for sure.
Ava was flattered by the praise but also stuck in a difficult situation. She could only agree, "Winnie, don't blame me for being merciless when I defeat you!"
"Oh? I'll wait and see about your skills." Winnie smirked with a hint of disdain and walked away.
Ava pursed her lips in fury. At this moment, she saw Daniel coming back with a gloomy expression, clearly unhappy about losing the deal!
She felt a sudden panic in her heart, narrowed her eyes, and suddenly pulled Winnie aside, whispering, "Winnie, you don't know this yet, but it was me who manipulated Daniel in bed when you were having anxiety attacks. He said you were boring compared to me and deserved his lack of love!"
Winnie turned around and slapped her fiercely. Unexpectedly, Ava immediately fell to the ground...
She held her cheek in fear and tears as if on cue rolled down her cheeks, "Winnie, it's one thing to ruin the competition and today's big deal, but I was only trying to persuade you not to trouble Daniel. Why did you hit me?"
"Winnie, that's enough!"
Daniel rushed over, pushing Winnie away and helping Ava up. Although he was still a bit angry at Ava, seeing her swollen face made him soften.
Suddenly, his heart ached, and he glared at Winnie with a dark expression. "Ava has always had the company's best interests at heart, but what about you? You have sinister intentions, and you dare to hit Ava. Do you even know she's pregnant?!"
