Eternally Bound, Chapter 42: The Plan

Aurora asks, “What are you thinking of doing, Eva?”

“We can not let her resurrect Astaroth. If we can keep him from amassing more power, he can be trapped again.”

There was a poof of smoke and my father appeared, “You will not confront him!”

“It is a little late for you to play Daddy dearest, isn't it?”

“Eva!” Sam warns as he pulls me to face him, “He is your blood just as Guinevere is now. He has protected you all of this time, let him keep doing it.”

“No! Because if I do, then I will lose you.”

He places a hand on my stomach and one over my heart. “I will always be here.”

I begin to cry as everyone envelops us in a hug. In the pit of my despair, I feel something. A single thread to latch onto. I smile. The thread of hope from the ties that bind. We are eternally bound.

“We need Brandon.” They pull back and look at me.

Vlad is the first to speak, “Why?”

“I need to ask him something.”

“Fine,” he said as he rolled his eyes before he gave me a quick kiss and teleported away. A few moments later, he returned with a nearly nude Brandon.

“You could have let me get dressed first,” Brandin grumbles.

Vlad shrugs. “Perhaps, but this way was more fun,” he teases.

Bael wraps his arms around my waist from behind. “Letting him bind someone to him wasn't your best idea, was it?”

“I didn't let the asshole. He just did it.”

Bael laughs.” A lot like you, huh?”

“Stuff it,” I huff.

Bael smirks, “Later, I will.”

Brandon jumps back. “You now have a demon for a mate!”

Bael smirks, “Demon King.”

“We are on borrowed time. Why did you request the Hunter?” my father asked.

“Because I need to know how to kill gods.”

Brandon asks, “Why?”

“Astaroth has been freed and Raven seeks to make it permanent.”

Pleading, Brandon looks into my eyes, “No one alive has succeeded. The White Wolf came close, but even she failed to kill him. She weakened him enough that the kings of the underworld could imprison him in hell. Don’t try it, please.”

I put my hand on my stomach, “The White Wolf won't fail this time. Meet Guinevere and her very powerful siblings.”

Brandon gasps, “You are going to birth gods?”

Aurora smiles as she begins to glow, “And then some.”

“A quark! That's impossible!” Brandon exclaims in shock.

Ergon grins as he begins to glow, “Yet here we are thanks to Eva.”

Katie says matter-of-factly, “Dude, my bestie is badass. Are you going to help us or not?”

Brandon looks between all of us, “Of course, I will.”

“Then gather all of the Hunters who you can trust. Give them this too,” I said as I magically made a dagger imbibed with magic that only a being of creation could make. “Tell them war is here and they have been summoned.”

Bael whispers in my ear, “That Hunter has it bad for you. Can't say that I blame him either.”

Mormo reveals himself to Brandon, “I will be watching.”

Brandon jumps back and I laugh as I wave off my father’s silliness, “Ignore my father.”

Brandon asks, “How do you suggest that I do that? He is the boogeyman.”

Levi says, “Fear is the ultimate weapon.

If you don't fear, then it gives him no power.”

“No offense but how is a Worldeater here?” Brandon inquires.

Beaming with pride, Vlad responds, “Our children are the how.”
