In the world of magic and supernatural powers, love is the one thing that unites us, binds us, and strengthens us.

That is a concept that I still struggle with, but I no longer question it l am loved. I know that I am. I just pray that it is enough to conquer the evil that has just been unleashed.
Vincent rushes over to us, “Eva, you have been gone nearly a whole day.”
I shake my head no in disbelief. Full of concern, Sam takes my hand as he looks me in the eyes, “Yes, Eva.”
Vlad asks, “Where did you go?”
“The In-between.”
Morgan lets out the nervous breath that she was holding, “That explains some of it, but I have tried for hours to reach you.”
Bael explains, “I found her in the In-between and I took her to our kingdom.”
“Now that explains it all. I have no connection to hell.” She glares at Vincent, “I never have, boy. Not all witches need the aid of a demon.”
I roll my eyes at Vincent and sigh as I look at the others, “But there's a problem in your area, Levi.”
Levi shrugs as if he half expected what I am about to say, “I am not bound to it anymore so l can't sense what is going on there. I was in purgatory for too long.”
“Astaroth has been freed,” Bael says bluntly.
Levi runs his hand over his face, “It took all of the kings to trap him last time.”
Katie asks, “Why did you have to trap him?”
Bael explains, “Once his soul became bound to hell, he wanted complete control. He tried to persuade Lucifer and Beelzebub to join him as well. He also possessed Archangel Micheal to try and take over the celestial realm. He wasn't happy that his plot to rule Earth failed so he sought complete power.”
Morgan sighs, “I bet he is the one who helped Raven with her shadow and grave magic.”
Bael nods, “Seeing how he's the Wizard
King, it is very likely.”
Eric looks at Bael and me as he speaks, “But the blood moon is over now, so she should be weakened.”
Bael nods, “Yes, it will weaken Raven and him some unless…”
I gasped, “The immortals she collected. They weren't just for her!”
I can't allow Raven to feed Astaroth those people. Not just because it will strengthen him so that he can obliterate humanity, but because every life is precious.

The perfect life is spread before us every day, but it changes and withers at a touch.

I can't let life wither. But I must be caretul. I am pregnant and I shouldn't put the babies at risk.
However, what other choice do I have?
**Raven’s POV**
Dalton is fucking useless, except for one thing. He has brought me several supernatural beings and that has helped fuel me and allowed me to free Astaroth. But I need more and I also need Sam Fall. I need his blood, all of it, if I am going to fully resurrect Astaroth.
Years ago, Astaroth was that vampire king who nearly killed The White Wolf, Guinevere. Had he succeeded, his soul could have remained earthbound as an eternal god. A god who I willingly serve because he greatly increased my immortality when he made me into a vampire. Now, once he is earthbound, he will fulfill his promise and make me eternal. But I need Sam Fall to accomplish this. I know that he is the one who I need because I have gotten blood from the others in his pack. His family only has small traces of what I need and draining all of them still won't be enough. Sam has to be the one who I need because he is the last of his line who had any link to The White Wolf.
Sam's parents and grandfather were easy prey when my coven sent a tornado to end them. However, Sam alluded them that night. I never understand why until now. He must possess the last bit of Guinevere's soul. Soon, soon it will be mine.
