“I hate to cut this party short, but we need food and then to not leave our room.”
Sam nods, “I feel it too.”
Vincent looks around at each of the guys and then at me, “Yes, and we need to not be seen tonight.”
Katie looks at him confused, “You never minded before.”
Vincent sighs, “Feels different, is all.”
Vlad adds, “Like it's building instead of just crashing into us.”
Eric takes in a breath, “And when it hits…”
Morgan interrupts with a loud purr, “Mmmm!”
“Morgan!”
She winks, “A girl can dream.”
Agnes rubs against Morgan, “But I have a feeling our dreams would pale in comparison.”
Cassius grunts, “Let's eat. Then you all can do whatever freaky shit you want as long as I don't see my sister naked.”
“I so agree, bro.”
Vlad says, “We will have to tell Artemis and the others what they missed.”
“I don't blame them for wanting to be away from us before the moonrise.”
Eric chuckles, “Neither do I. But I do think we should each have a bit of alone time with you though.”
Sam grins wolfishly as he nods, “I agree.”
Vincent huffs, “Fine.”
“Don't be like that, Eeyore.”
Vincent snaps, “Stop calling me that!”
“Stop getting all broody, and I might.”
Vlad chuckles as he looks around, “What? It's funny and true.”
Katie smiles, “I agree with ImpalingRUS.”
I can't help but laugh as they both glare at Katie, “Boys, you try anything on her and you will regret it.”
Cassius grins, “Plus, I will help too. I don't care if you guys are Gods. You touch my mate and I will….” He doesn't get to finish that statement before Katie kisses him deeply.
As they finished their kiss, Steven made it home. “Did I make it back in time for dinner?” he asks.
Sam shakes his head, “We haven't made it yet. We had an issue to deal with.”
Steven sees Cass and smiles, “You guys brought Cassius home. Welcome man! Now what issue?”
Morgan spats, “Raven.”
Steven’s eyes widened, “Where?”
Morgan rubs his leg, “Boy, relax she's gone for now. Your aunt and new uncle took care of her.”
Steven asks, “Another mate, Eva? How?”
Cassius backs up, “Whoa, no! EWWW!”
I start laughing and Vincent sighs as he glares at me, “Not another smartass.”
“Vinny chill! Or I will make you.”
Vincent presses his body to mine, “Love, you best watch what you say if you wish to make it through dinner.”
I shrug as Eric threatens him, “Vincent chill! We want our alone time and you will not fuck it up for us!”
Steven sighs, “Okay, I'm a bit lost.”
Katie takes Steven’s hands into hers, “Cassius is Eva's half-brother.”
Steven nods, “Oh, okay.”
Katie looks into his eyes, “He's also my mate.”
Steven sucks in a breath, “Wow, cool I guess.”
Katie pulls Steven her and hugs him tenderly. Cassius growls.
“Brother restrain your wolf or I will.”
Cassius growls, “It's hard, Sis.”
Sam puts his hand on Cassius's shoulder, “Brother, I know firsthand threefold how hard it is. Your wolf will understand once he realizes that your bond is different making it special.”
Cassius bares his teeth, “We don't share.”
Sam nods, “Normal wolves don't. But answer this, are we normal?”
Cassius looks around. Katie is petting Steven's hair as she talks to him, “No, we aren't. None of us in this room are.”
Sam smiles as he pats Cass on his back, “Good, now keep telling your wolf that until he listens.”
I am so proud of how Sam handled that. He knows Steven and Katie will part after the Haze, but how I want it to be amicable. Katie is good for Steven. He's grown so much and speaks more. She's helping him blossom into a wonderful man. He will be an Alpha one day. I wrap my arms around Sam's neck and pull him down to kiss me. My Mountain Man is huge, but I can make him crumble. The kiss starts to get heated and the lights flicker.
“Stop! For the love of fucking God, stop!!” Eric yells as he pulls Sam back and Vlad grabs me.
Vlad says, “Lights, the lights flickered.”
Eric sighs, “Sorry, we had to stop you guys before who knows what happened.”
Sam growls, “It was just a fucking kiss!”
“I know.”
Vincent looks at Morgan, “Morgan? You're quiet.”
Morgan purrs as she swishes her tail, “Thinking.”
Agnes gasps, “Surely not?”
Morgan nods, “I suspect so, my pet, I suspect so.”
I start laughing. A cat just called another cat a pet. It's just too much. Morgan hisses, “Eva!”
Vincent laughs, “Finally, my wife is in trouble!” I cover my mouth and stare at him as he continues, “You will be once we go before the whole counsel.”
Katie screams, “Eeeeee!”
Vlad covers his head, “My fucking ears!”
Eric looks at Morgan and commands, “Morgan, spill!”
Morgan grins, “I think I know why tonight is different for your Haze. Yes, the blood moon will amplify it, but there's a reason you all crave alone time,” She looks at my stomach, “You want to bond with your children.”
“Oh no! No! No!”
Morgan rubs my legs, “Eva what will be will be.”
“Then it can be with someone else.” Being a mother I was starting to accept but this is a lot. Just how many babies are there and who are the fathers?
Morgan asks, “So you don't ever want children with each of them?”
“I didn't say that.”
Morgan purrs, “All will be fine.”
Agnes grins, “It will because you have us. Let's get you fed. It will help.”
Sam and I went and cooked so that everyone could eat. Dinner was filled with light conversation. We suspect Raven will try something again before this moon phase is over. But what?
Each of my mates kept glancing at me during dinner. They feel this too. They feel this need to be with just me. Is Morgan right? Do they wish to bond with the lives we created? Lives…oh fucking God! How am I going to do this?
