CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY-SIX
AURORA'S P.O.V
I shook my head, puzzled too.
"That I have no idea, but what I can tell you is that I did not receive any letter, nor did I see anyone or even replied to anything. It couldn't have been me because I'm pretty sure at that time, I would have been dealing with Lucian and Desmond."
His eyes immediately shot up, a furious expression came on his face.
"That's it! Desmond! Alpha Desmond. You guys killed him didn't you? So its true? At least you're no denying that"
My eyes flashed with anger and I stood up and placed my hands on my hips.
"Listen here Auron, I will not agree to other things but as for killing Desmond..." I raised my chin proudly, "...I accept that. In fact, I embrace it, you have no idea what and what man was."
He scoffed, a cold smile on his lips.
"Of course I do. He was just a simple alpha protecting his pack and you guys killed him and took his pack."
"Hey, there was no taking of anything when it already belonged to them." Eli growled, getting to his feet.
"Them? What do you mean it belonged to them?"
Jake stood up, his arms crossed and a deadly frown on his face, I don't think I've ever seen him that angry.
"Desmond was never the true alpha, he took it away from Lucian's father who just happened to be his twin brother but he came along and ruined everything for the sake of revenge."
Auron had a more confused look on his face, his head constantly moved from side to side, as if he didn't want to believe.
"No, no.... I refuse to believe any of that. What are you...? Are you telling me that everything I was told...was a lie?" His gaze darted rapidly from mine to everyone in the he room, his veins straining. He looked like he was struggling to process what he was hearing.
"Well, you better believe it, none of us are lying." Kieran suddenly growled, he shot a glare at Lucian. "You want to take care of this or should I? My patience is running thin. I can't stand the way he's talking to you."
"Its alright, Kieran, I'm fine."
Lucian raised his hands, a scrowl on his face.
"Alright, everyone calm down, sit down." He said in a strong voice, slowly they sat back down, but the frowns and glares refused to leave their faces as they glared at Auron. Lucian shook his head, letting out a growl.
"I know you guys want to help but if we use violence, we aren't going to get anywhere."
Then he turned to face ma, a wince on his face.
"Aurora honey, can you please let me tell him about Desmond? I feel like I should be the one, considering I thought the guy was my father for almost all my life."
"Wait, Alpha Desmond was your father?" Auron suddenly blurted out, his eyes wide.
Lucian growled and snapped a stormy gaze to him.
"Was? Keywords there are "I thought he was", okay. He's not my father. Can never be, thank goodness. I mean he killed the mother of his biological child just because she was more powerful than him."
"He did what!!!!?" Auron yelled, his voice resounding in the room.
I looked at Lucian and backed away.
"You started this, take the floor."
He winked at me.
"Thank you." Then he faced Auron, "Now, where should I start..."
I sat down on the sofa I had been sitting on before Auron had woken up, this was going to be a while, so I might've well just get comfortable.
"So it all began when I met Aurora at a bar..." Lucian started.
Nope, forget about getting comfortable, I already know this part, I'm going to sleep.
"....and Aurora finished him off and we saced our pack and our family and friends. I took my rightful place as the alpha of my pack, Aurora became my Luna after a very long tine. Should have been a happy ever after until you showed up..."
I roused myself and stretched, from around me the sounds of yawning and stretching sounded. I looked around, amused that everyone except Ariel had fallen asleep. She was listening with rapt attention as if it was something exciting, only thing missing was a bowl of popcorn on her lap. I guess to the new ear it would be, but for us that know everything, it was just boring.
"He's still going on?" Mirabel groaned rubbing her eyes.
Jake groaned.
"Like seriously, I thought he would be done by now."
Eli chuckled, yawnung.
"You guys should give him a break. The story is long."
"Very long, since he's still going on. Are we done yet? Come on, let's get to the making up part, I really want to go sleep on a bed." Talia almost yelled, throwing her hands up.
"Shush! He just got to the good part and you guys are distracting me." Ariel suddenly snapped, her eyes narrowed in a glare.
"Um, sorry." Eli mumbled.
Kale chuckled.
"Didn't realize you were so invested in it."
She snorted then went back to listening. Lucian and Auron, all this time hadn't even noticed that we were up and speaking. It took about thirty more minutes before he was finally done. He finally looked at me and nodded.
"You done?"
He nodded and took a step back.
"He's yours now."
I stood up and walked to him, I considered staying a good distance away but then changed my mind and went closer until I was just a finger away from him..
"Auron, are you okay?"
He did not look okay, his face was deathly pale, his eyes no longer their deep red bit and almost pink as he looked at me. Does his mood affect his eyes? I wonder.
"So...he told me...everything..." He started then swallowed slowly, he let out a deep sigh, looking like a list man. "I feel like...I feel like everything I knew has been a lie. Like my whole life was a lie."
