"Gavin, you know about burns too?"
Gavin smiled with a mysterious look and patted George on the shoulder.
"Not really, but I know someone who can definitely make sure Emilia's burn won't leave a scar. Let me reach out to her."

Catherine looked at Gavin winking at her and looked away in annoyance.

"Don't let her corrupt you, Catherine. Don't listen to Juniper's nonsense! I just feel sorry for her, nothing else."
"There are so many people to feel sorry for. Why aren't you paying other people's medical bills?"
"Juniper, don't make me beat you up in the hospital!"
Watching Juniper and George playfully fighting, wanting to hit each other but afraid of hurting Catherine, their movements just light touches, Catherine felt a warmth in her heart.
Paloma appeared in the hallway pushing Owen.
Juniper quickly slid behind Owen and immediately complained.
"Owen, George hit me! Unethical doctor with no medical ethics—I'm reporting him!"
Owen could tell George was just playing around with Juniper. He shook his head helplessly and looked at Gavin.
"Gavin, how's my grandson doing?"
"He's doing well so far. Would you like to see him?"
"Of course I need to see him. His parents aren't even in the country—how would I explain it if something happened!"
Owen looked at Juniper and Catherine. "Why don't you both come in with me?"
Catherine knew Owen wanted Juniper to see the patient inside, who was technically Juniper's cousin.
Juniper nodded. "Okay, we'll go with Owen to see him."
"Okay."
Paloma smiled helplessly. "Thank you all so much."
Paloma's health wasn't good. When her condition relapsed last year, she almost died. After thinking it over and discussing with Marcus, Owen decided not to tell Paloma about this.
Owen patted Juniper's hand, wanting to say something but holding back, his emotions complex.
He knew how cruel it was to Juniper not to tell Paloma about this. But if he told Paloma and it upset her, Owen worried he might lose her!
Owen sighed. "Let's go in and see him."
In the hospital room, Tiberius Harrison lay in bed connected to countless tubes. Seeing Owen enter, his fingers moved slightly.
"Just lie still. As long as you're okay, that's all that matters. You really scared me."
Gavin, standing by the bed, looked at Catherine and lowered his voice. "He's doing well. All his vitals are stable. The surgery was very successful."
Catherine nodded slightly. "Got it. If there are any complications later, just call me and I'll handle it."
"You really won't tell George? This is such a big achievement."
"If you don't want it, I'll find someone else next time."
Gavin was very happy. He'd get department recognition for at least the next three years—why would he turn that down!
Catherine glanced at Tiberius lying in bed. "Show me the data reports. Let's leave this space to Owen and them."
Gavin followed Catherine out, making room for the Harrison family.
Hearing that familiar voice, Tiberius's fingers moved again.
