Holmes always managed to uncover clues and assist those in distress. Alex applied that skill in the supernatural world, helping humans combat paranormal entities. As his circumstances shifted, he had to say goodbye to those he cherished the most. Unbeknownst to him, the loved ones he lost were also altered alongside him, gaining new perspectives. The woman he adored had passed away, leading him to vow never to love again, even though his heart had other plans.
