Chapter 54 Why?
Omniscient Narrative 

Aries pulled her rag from her head, she began to sob and tried to say something but her words was trapped behind the duck tape. 

"You remember her don't you?" Aries asked as he innocently looked at Kai, who was just surprised to see his husband's assistant tied up this way. 

"What has she done Aries, why is she tied up like this?" Kai asked as his eyes scanned her injured body, it looked like she was beaten up badly. 

"What has she done?" Aries let out a loud laugh, "Kai, what has she not done?" He sighed as he began moving his head side to side. 

"See now Kai, while you were breaking your back for this man to make his day good, she wasn't even pulling a muscle in doing that" he had an amused look on his face. "While you were left unsatisfied every day, she was getting satisfied at work everyday, Kai don't make me spell it out for you, she's sleeping with your husband" Aries kissed his teeth before shaking his head in a disapproving manner. 

"Wha-what?" Kai asked, his eyes staring at the beaten up woman who was crying and shaking her head, pleading with her muffled noises to be let go. 

"Oh and that's not all, these people" he motioned to the people around them "are all your husband's favorites Kai" "you want to see the second one?" Aries urged Kai to walk with him to the second person. 

Aries had did that for all the injured bodies except three, he left the three in the middle for last, 

"This is going to be fun"Aries clapped as a huge smile broke on his face. "Guess who this middle one isssss" he sang out as he walked to the person, his hand on the bag covering the persons head. "Guess Kai, Guess" he urged his lover. 

"I-I don-l" Kai was lost for words, he still hasn't gotten over the others, his husband assistant, their neighbor, his business partner etc, so he couldn't even bring himself to question who this person was going to be. 

Aries pulled the rag off and staring him dead in his eyes was his husband. 'This one you have to know' he remembered Aries telling him when he had pointed to the injured man on the weird contraption. 

"Vinnie?" He called out, his hands moving to his mouth in shock. His husband didn't look the same, his face was swollen, he looked like he was beaten badly, worse than the other people. 

Aries ripped the tape from the man's mouth making him cry out in pain. 

"Kai" was what Vincent could say as he tiredly looked at his husband. 

"Oh but he's not the best part" Aries said before walking to the body at Vincent's right. 

Aries just like he did with Vincent, pulled the rag off the person's head and Kai almost fell to his knees when he saw who it was, 

The older man was lost for words, was he dreaming? Were his eyes deceiving him

"Noo" he cried out as if trying to convince himself he wasn't seeing this, like it wasn't real "no please no" he cried out as he just let himself fall to the ground, sobbing into his hands as he shook his head trying to clear out whatever he was thinking. 

Aries then walked over to the other person and pulled the rag off the person's head also leaving Kai in more shock as he tried to think. 

'This has to be a dream' he kept reciting to himself 'a dream' 'a dream' 

"Kai" he heard a concerned sounding Aries call out to him, but he shook his head telling him no, Kai couldn't look up again, he didn't want to see the two of them. 

It hurt so bad just having to see them, now he couldn't get the mental image of his husband with them. 

'This is so unfair' Kai thought to himself as he cried into his hands. 

Aries ripped the tape off their mouths making them hiss in pain. 

"k-Kai" he heard one of them call out to him, he knew who it was and just hearing the voice made him want to throw up 

"Please no" Kai cried harder as he heard the voice. It felt real now, 

Suddenly he began to put pieces together, he began to put two and two together and that angered him so much. 

"Why?" Kai asked the two of them, this time looking at them with so much anger and now hatred in his eyes. 

"Why?" He sounded so defeated, "what have I ever done to both of you?" He asked ad he sounded drained, the shorter man was tired. He was so tired he didn't even have the energy to get up, Aries had to help him up. 

"Kai" the person called out again. 

"Don't call my name Robert, how could you?" Kai asked, his eyes red, his head was hurting as he tried to contain his anger, he just wanted to walk up to him and strangle the man whom he had called his best friend for years. 

"I tho-I thought we were friends" he asked Robert, his eyes holding an emotion Robert couldn't help but sob. 

"I'm sorry" was all Robert could say. 

"Sorry" Kai laughed "he's sorry" he looked to Aries "God, I was so stupid to not notice" he laughed 

"You were so bent on me sleeping with Aries, I should have been suspicious about it, you wanted me to cheat back so you wouldn't feel guilty about sleeping with my husband" Kai spoke as he pulled at his hair, as if realizing the answer to some secret puzzle. 

"It all makes sense now, why you've been distant, why you haven't introduced me to your mysterious guy yet, all this while Mr mysterious was sleeping beside me most nights of the week" 

Kai's eyes shifted to the other one who looked practically lifeless, hanging on the wall with no will to live. M

"And you" he looked at him with a pained look. 

"What have I ever done to you?" His voice was shaky, he could feel his heart beat against his chest rapidly. "Why do you have me so much" he asked him, pain evident in his voice. 

"...." He didn't get a reply back, his eyes stared at him with anger. 

"Just tell me why Derek" he called out to him. "Why would you do this to your own brother" Kai felt so broken as he looked his older brother right in the eye, did he hate him so much that he had to sleep with his husband, the same man he called his best friend?.

Derek literally introduced Vincent to Kai, he was the one that got them together, so why would he do that if he was going to practically steal him from him.

"Aries" Kai called out to the smiling man beside him. 

"Yes?" Aries replied. 

"Is this all just a plan to get with me or is this real, because I can't bring myself to believe this is real" he looked at Aries, his hands were shaking, his eyes were burning with anger. 

"I knew you would second guess" Aries said as he held his finger in a wait motion, he went back to the black bag and brought out a folder.
