Chapter 75: Ascension!

Gradually, the two tubes opened up and started moving towards each other. They then joined together to form a cage.

Kulan and Fie looked at each other.

In Fie's eyes, she could see hatred and hunger. They mirrored her own feelings and thoughts. This was when she realized the reason why they were left in that yellow water for so long. Their magical energy was sapped away by that water.

Kulan felt very weak.

The only way to devour another was to drain their blood and eat their heart. How was she going to do that when she was this weak?

"You!" Fie softly called out with a weak and raspy voice. It felt like pain.

Unbothered, Kulan turned to the several elders watching from outside.

They had promised to let her devour the girl but now they want her to fight?

Understanding the look, Bella's father stepped forward and said, "She is too weak. Just kill her."

Kulan nodded and approached Fie'

She expected Fie to retreat or even attack but the girl just stood there, watching as Kulan grabbed her neck and sank her teeth into it.

Before the girl could fall down, Kulan grabbed her and knelt down with the fragile body of Fie.

For more than five minutes, she was drinking. She drank until Fie's body went completely limp. She then buried her claws in Fie's chest and wrenched Fie's heart out.

Once she was done eating the heart, someone outside pressed a button and electricity surged through the tube and struck KuLaa.

Instantly, she fell and fainted, scaring the hell out of Ainar.

A few days later, Kulan woke up in a very big and lavishly furnished bedroom.

She felt stronger and lighter.

The moment she opened her eyes, four elders walked into the room.

Were they waiting on me?

"You are awake, Lord KuLaa."

Elder Zote, Bella's father, greeted her with a smile.

"Hmm." Kulan nodded with a grim face.

"Like I promised, this is your new home. It's within Baril but not accessible to anyone except for your family members. Once we are done here, they will come in and greet you."

"Okay." Kulan nodded.

"For your experiment, after you devoured Fie, your blood integration with hers wasn't as great as we expected, therefore, for the next few months, you will repeatedly have to get incubated, drained of magic, and devour more werewolves."

"There are more of that?"

"Of course. We have more werewolf witches and wizards that were created scientifically. We are hoping that once your son joins us, he will help us breed natural ones by breeding with our daughters. This will make us closer to our goals."

Kulan swallowed hard but only nodded. She couldn't wait for them to finish so she would gather her family and leave. She suddenly remembered how she got angry because Megan refused to have a harem. Kulan almost pushed from her own embarrassing thoughts.

"Now please let the doctors take your blood for some tests."

"Okay," Kulaa said her first word since she woke up.

The doctors quickly took her blood and immediately they left, Kurt came in with the kids, Megan and Oliver.

"My Love." Kurt scooped her into his arms and kissed her. She returned the kiss but soon pushed him away and even gave him a knock on the head.

"Ouch!" He loved and stood to one side so others could gain access to her.

"Lord KuLaa, I brought you trouble. Please forgive me." Oliver went on his knees to beg her forgiveness.

When he insisted on leaving the island back then, Kulan had warned him that her enemies would target him but because Oliver couldn't stand the sight of Kurt, he insisted that he could take care of himself and his family.

At the end of the day, KuLaa's words came to pass.

Oliver knew that if Kulan decided not to come to rescue him, nobody would ask her why. So he was very grateful. His animosity towards Kurt had disappeared and these past few days, they have spent time together talking about nothing and everything.

"In-law, please don't do that. We are a family. Making sure you are safe and sound is my responsibility. Even if your daughter didn't marry my son, I would have still done it. It is a debt I owe and must spend my life paying. Let this be the last time you will thank me for anything. Between us, there shall be no gratitude. Please stand up."

"Yes." Oliver nodded and stood up.

Right after that, Kulan turned to Megan and her kids.

"My Liege." Megan bowed but Kulan rolled her eyes at Megan. "Just call me a mother."

Megan's eyes widened in shock but she was soon smiling.

"Mother." She whispered.

At last, she was back in Kulaa's good book. Megan was very happy.

The twins, Amoux and Ainar stood in place, not daring to look at Kulan or even move closer. Their mother had warned them that without her order, they were not allowed to do anything.

With all the sudden changes that had happened around them these few months, they now understood why Kulan was strict with them. Especially Ainar. She knew that the blood that was stolen was the reason why things became like this.

If Lykie and her witch didn't steal my blood, our family and Grandma wouldn't be in trouble.

But when she remembered how she tortured Lykie for days before finally killing and devouring her, Ainar felt a little better about herself.

"Kids." Kulan opened her hands wide and a beacon to the twins.

"Go to your Grandma." Megan transmitted to them.

When Ainar looked up and saw KuLaa's smile, she broke down and started crying.

"Grandmaaaa. I am sorry. It's all because of me. Wooowooowoooh!"

"It's okay, it's okay."

Kulan hugged the twins and kept patting their backs.

"Grandma, what is going to happen now?" Amoux asked.

"Mm." Kulan huffed.

"We will just have to see."

"That's enough kids. Let your Grandma get out of bed. She needs to eat." Kurt suddenly grabbed the twins by the arms, jokingly trying to break their hug.

"That's true. Mother has not eaten for days." Megan pointed out.

"For how long was I out?" Kulan asked in bewilderment. She didn't feel like she slept for long.

"Three weeks and two days today.

"Wow! Doesn't feel like that at all."

"Okay, the table is already set. Let's go," said Kurt.

Everybody stood up and left the huge room.

They came out Into a big corridor and Kurt led them to a double door that led into a big dining room.

When they got there, they found the dining table filled with all sorts of dishes.

As they started eating, Kulan started transmitting her plans to everyone at the table.

"Kurt, are they ready?" She asked.

"Yes, they are but magic can not be channeled in the house. If you want to channel magic, we must go to the garden."

"Wow. This is crazy" Kulan grunted.

"Okay. Let's all eat a lot, then we will go for a walk to digest our food."

"Okay," Everyone agreed outwardly but inwardly, they were transmitting their next plans to themselves.

In a room, somewhere in the huge mansion, Jum and Bella were watching KuLaa's family as they ate.

"They are transmitting to themselves," Jum muttered with a frown. "I wonder what they are saying?"

"It doesn't matter. As long as they are within the house, magic is not possible and the outside is well guarded and sealed. She can't go anywhere."

Jum couldn't help but glare at how Kurt and Kulan were feeding each other and looking so relaxed. They didn't look like they were prisoners at all. He was jealous and didn't understand why.

I will kill this idiot and take his woman. This thing they call affection, I want to understand it too. Why are they so happy? He thought to himself.

An hour later, the family of six went to the garden and they started walking around.

When they got to a spot that Kurt carefully picked beforehand, he signaled for them to stop.

They all sat down In a circle, making sure that their bodies were touching.

Megan then placed the basket of desserts she brought along,— in the middle of their circle.

They all started picking up the different types of sweet fruits inside the basket and eating them as they chatted.

Meanwhile, inwardly, they were transmitting to each other, reciting the incantations for the transportation spell in harmony.

Before Kulan and Kurt left Mayel, Madam Su had engraved a teleportation magic into their bones. It was a one-time use spell and it was supposed to be a life-saving chance.

She had done it in a hurry because they had to save Oliver as soon as possible.

While Kulan was asleep, Kurt taught Megan and her twins the incantation for the spell and now that they were in a circle, while they appeared to be eating and chatting, they were actually waiting for the day to get a little dark before they activated the spell.

It was a one-chance and they were scared of messing it up.

Once it got a little dark, Kulan signaled to them that it was time.

They secretly chanted the incantations and when it was at the seventh chant, they all stood up and hugged each other. Immediately, a blinding white light erupted from within them and engulfed the whole garden.

In the control room, Jum and Bella stood up and rushed outside but before they got to the garden, Kulan and her family were nowhere to be seen.

The Elders on ground were shocked.

"That was the teleportation spell of the Viedanise!" One of them exclaimed.

Elder Zote was very angry. Kulan had made them believe that she had no idea she was a Viedanise. They even took their precious time to explain her origin to her, when she first arrived. This was why, when he was collecting all her magic totems from her, he didn't bother to check her bones.

The teleportation spell of the Viedanise was carved into the bones. Even though it was powered by the magic in the blood and energy-draining, it was very powerful and couldn't be sealed.

The most powerful bloodline fell into their hands so easily but because of an innocent oversight, they have lost it again "What do we do now, father?" Jum asked. For him, Kulan escaping was a good thing. He would be able to go out again. He would hunt her down, but this time, he would make sure that he got rid of Kurt so that the stupid wolf wouldn't be in his way. Kulan must become his woman.

Elder Zote was lost in thoughts for a bit.

"Father?" Bella called in a worried voice.

"Mm." Elder Zote huffed. "We were deceived. But it's all good. We will just have to work smart with the little of their blood that we have collected these past few weeks.

Every day since they were brought to this place, the doctors would come in to take a pant of blood from both Ainar and Amoux.

This was something they were supposed to be doing until the experiment got a good result.

An instant after disappearing, Kulan and her family appeared in a familiar underground secret room in the deepest part of Mayel.

When they saw that the spell had worked, they were so happy that Megan and her kids were jumping around like over-fed monkeys.

"You are back." Madam Su appeared out of thin air with a smile on her face.

"Yes, ma'am. I am."

"They have our bloodline." Madam Su pointed to the kids who were still hugging and hopping around with Megan.

"Yes. They are your great-great-grandkids." Kulan beamed with happiness.

"I don't understand. Were they not sealed off on your island?

"Oh, Madam Su, by the gods, nothing went as we planned."

Then Kulan proceeded to explain everything that had happened to Madam Su.

Luckily, they had that spell. If not, they would have remained prisoners.

"It's all well that ends well. Stay in Mayel till you all grow stronger. As long as you all stay here, no one will be able to touch you."

"Yes, madam Madam The next morning, the whole family reunited.

After all they have gone through in this short time, Oliver and Megan buried their hatred for Kurt and Megan tried her best to get closer to her two remaining brothers.

After some time, they sneaked into the cities to steal some women for their breeding,g and with the help of Madam Su, the house of Viedanise grew stronger.

Every once in a while, the other four families would gather their forces and try to invade Mayel but the house of Viedanise wasn't called the strongest family for no reason.

The enchantment that sealed Mayel off from the outside world was too strong for them to break and during each attack, the four families always suffered great losses in return for their troubles.

After 50 years, Madam Su and Kulan finally finally figured out how to cultivate and within 700 years, Kulan and Kurt became strong enough to ascend to the heavens.

Kulan was the first to break the shackles of Eplica but she waited another 150 years for Kurt.

Before their ascension, Kulan attacked Baril and wiped off what remained of the other four houses. As most of them had died out by then.

After that, Mayel became open to the public and became the holy land of Eplica, where people go to learn cultivation.

On the day of Kulan and Kurt's ascension, the whole continent gathered and watched as the heavens thundered and rained. The torrent was so heavy that not everyone could bear to stand in it.

All of a sudden, a deafening thunder struck the sky and slit the heavens open. Then a whirlwind rushed out of the slit and encircled the husband and wife.

Before everyone's eyes, Kulan and Kurt held each other in an embrace as the wind raged around them.

To those who have the ability to see the ghosts of the dead Viedanise, they would be able to see that these ghosts also followed Kurt and Kulan into the wind.

After some time, the wind started rising, ing and with it, Kurt, KuLaa, and the ghosts of their ancestors More thunder struck and the slit in the sky became stronger.

As if something was pulling them from the other side, Kurt and Kulan were abruptly pulled into the slit.

Once they were gone, the wind dispersed and everything returned to normal.

On their way home, Megan and Ryan started feeling lonely and at the same time, excited.

No more Kulan to tease them about having a harem and no more Madam Su, to teach them cultivation and scare them.

In another 400 years, they should also be able to ascend.

The End.
