Chapter 118 Peter Dursley's broke free from the dungeons!?
118\. Peter Dursley's broke free from the dungeons!?
"Common enemy?" Maria parroted, her eyes enlarging fearfully.
"Yes, Ms. Nixon, we want you to work with us and destroy our common enemy, Alpha Damien, like he destroyed our image and reputation in the world. He's caused irreparable damage to you and my client Mr. Dursley, and snatched away all your lawful rights of living a respectable life along with property. He needs to be stopped now and it's possible when you work with us and help us bring him down from his throne." His words scorched her pounding heart.
Maria's breaths hitched. She never assumed Damien as her enemy. The farthest she could assume him was a devil reincarnated. She hated him for not listening to her. Hated him for accusing her of attempting to kill his wife and child. Hated him when he dragged her like a beggar.
That day was fresh in her mind. She begged to be listened to but he didn't give a damn. She only meant to be a useful mistress while Aurora was discarded after her pregnancy. Maria never wished to kill a baby. She could be a cunning slt but a murderer.
As she recalled that day, her fingers curled into balls and whimpers erupted from her mouth. She was furious. Being reminded of that unfortunately and insulting day, she only felt like shoving the surgical blade she still carried under her pocket in Aurora's heart. That woman was never harmed by Maria yet she never tried to clear the wrong impression Damien received through that audio.
She did show her true face, but she never hurt her during her pregnancy.
"That vixen… bloody greedy housekeeper." Maria hissed. "I never harmed her because of her pregnancy. But she framed me under false accusations of hurting the Alpha's child that was in her womb. I will kill her if she ever comes in front of me."
Both the lawyers smirked at the view of Maria's clenched jaw and fire burning in her eyes. The fire was what they intended to ignite in her. Seeing her coo and hiss like a venomous snake ready to snap, Mr. Holden grazed her shoulder and squeezed it.
"Then what's stopping you now from avenging her, Ms. Nixon? Join hands with our client, Mr. Dursley, and do as your heart pleases. Together we will avenge the wounds they gave you two and take back what Alpha Damien arrogantly seized from us." It was the second lawyer with Mr. Holden, Kenneth Francis.
He was young and by the looks itself, looked like a shrewd man with a rusted mind. But his physical features were pretty decent.
"We are aware of the humiliation you endured. We are aware of the trauma Alpha Damien and his mate caused you. You also suffered a fatal concussion, and we are aware of all your other sufferings, Ms. Nixon. It would be foolish of you to pass up the chance to make Alpha Damien and his mate pay." Like the howling winds in a haunted castle, his words trembled her spine.
"But how's it possible to kill that bitch? Peter is in the dungeons and I am helpless. I recently broke out of Damien's security. It's shameful to say but I am even scared to think about him much less go and harm that slut who's become his precious mate. I don't think I can help you at all. There's nothing I can do." She screeched as a tear dribbled out of her eyes like her erupting indignation.
Maria turned around and pulled her hair. She was suddenly pumped to take revenge. Curses spilled out of her mouth as she whimpered helplessly.
"That bitch deserves to die. I want to hear her scream and cry. She thinks of herself as a true Luna after Damien married her. Bloody housekeeper has forgotten her old days of poverty. I would kill her with my own hands if Damien wasn't by her side. But… I can't do anything. I can't even lay a finger on her body." She screamed and sagged to the ground while yanking her hair strands.
"Who said you can't do anything, darling?" A voice other than the lawyers' reverberated.
Curious, Maria looked over her right shoulder with her teary eyes. Rivers of consternation pulsated over her flesh, but there was no time to think as the owner of the voice took slow measured steps in her direction, and pulled her up in his arms.
"P-peter," Maria blinked her eyes in disbelief.
"You recognized me, darling? Long time no, see. We never met after you left Manhattan six years ago. I missed you so much." He stared at her heaving chest. "Oh, I should be true with my thoughts. I missed your heavenly body." A smirk curved his lips.
"Y-you… t-this can't be you. You are," Maria shook her head and also pinched her wrist to confirm this was a dream.
She must be dreaming. It could not be him as he was held as a criminal in the dungeons under impenetrable security. Damien would never let him out at any cost. This man tried to hurt that housekeeper he was crazy about. There was… Maria's head spun.
It was indeed him. Peter Dursley was standing with her. Well, she was standing in his arms.
"H-how could you come out?" She stammered as she sensed his burning hands roaming freely over her back and hips.
Peter's fingers cupped her chin, tilting her face to meet his dark eyes glowing fondly fierce. Like a devil he smiled and claimed her lips much to her astonishment.
Maria was scared of his unexpected presence though she couldn't dare to pull away from the kiss. Not to forget, Peter had been her secret lover while she dated Damien six years ago.
Had Peter been out with no criminal history, Maria would have fallen in his arms in order to fulfill her desires of living a luxurious life. She would have never gone to Damien's mansion to seduce him if only Peter was out.
He was as rich as Damien and no less when it came to look. He would have gladly paid her bills and given her a life she wanted provided that he was crazily in love with her. Six years ago before she left the country, Peter offered her a marriage and also claimed to support her dreams. He promised all the worldly treasures he could offer if only she changed her mind and stayed. Seeing him again was appalling. Uncomfortable even.
As he thrusted his tongue in her mouth, "Peter," She straightened then, pulling back against his hold, her eyes darting about, furtively seeking some means to put him… off.
"Did you break out of the dungeons?" She immediately asked before he pulled her forcibly.
"There's no other way I could have come out, is there?" He smiled.
"B-but that's… That's not possible. I heard you were put under the scrutiny of specially trained soldiers. How did you…" Words died in her mouth as Peter kissed her ferociously.
He picked her up in a bridal style and strode past the blushing lawyers before saying, "Didn't you hear my lawyers, did you? Anyone can be bought with money."
"Money? Didn't Damien capture all your properties and wealth?" Maria managed to hush before he kissed her again.
He smirked widely. Peter carried her in silence to a room that was… surprisingly clean with a bed, air conditioner and other necessities a normal bedroom would hold.
Placing her on bed, he exposed his scarred chest as he pulled his shirt over his head.
Then bending down to hover over her body, "He did capture my wealth… but not all. I have much more wealth than he could have imagined me having." He said, and claimed her lips while the clouds outside darkened and lightning roared apocalyptically.
Tbc…
Oh myyy, that's a shock! Peter escaped from the dungeons and wants to destroy Damien who's unaware of all this. What will happen now? Let's see together on the coming and final episodes of Alpha's Housekeeper.
