“Adea,” I growled.
“Oh,” she moaned as she continued to roll her hips.
“Fuck,” I groaned as I dropped my head back against the dirt. “Don’t.”
Fuck. Don’t what? Don’t do that? Don’t keep going? Don’t stop? What was I saying? What was I trying to say? My lips parted as I watched the Goddess on top of me. Her tongue darted out and licked her bottom lip and I was done for. Her eyes were glazed as her hands touched my chest. She put her weight on my chest, her nails digging in, even through the clothes and I only got harder. I wouldn’t move, I wouldn’t do anything because if I did anything, I would be crossing the line. I couldn’t find it in me to tell her to stop now. I wanted this as much as she did. Hell, I wanted it more than she did. I wouldn’t stop her now but I would lay back and take what she gave me.
Tomorrow, she might regret this and I couldn’t do that to her, not when she trusted me, not when she trusted me to keep her safe. I swallowed. I would keep her safe for as long as I could. Adea’s hips danced seductively above me and I stared up at her as she chased that sweet feeling she was experiencing. I knew it was her first time. She’d never touched herself, she wasn’t going to. I remember she said she would save herself for her mate. I couldn’t help but smirk.
What would he think now? If he could see her grinding on my cock making herself feel good, what would he think? I’d love to see that. Too bad I won’t. I hope she never finds her mate. I hope she stays with me forever. I grip her hips tightly and she moans. I won’t let her get away. I won’t let her escape. She’s mine. Now and forever. Adea’s moves become jerkier as she chases that sweet feeling I know she’s feeling right now. I search her face, her expression as pleasure and desperation mixed there. She closes her eyes but I growl.
“No, open your eyes. I want to see the look on your face while you come on my cock.”
“Oh, Goddess,” she moans.
The sound goes straight to my already hard cock. Her eyes fly open and she stares down at me as her orgasm rips through her. Her orgasm, her pleasure just now, I did that. I brought her that. I gave her that. Satisfaction wells up in me as she rides out the waves of pleasure. She continues to surprise me. Her head lolls forward and she collapses on top of me tired and spent. Her breathing is fast, her chest expanding as she takes deep lungfuls of air. I swallow as I stare down at the top of her head. My hands slide up and down her back.
“Shane,” she murmured.
“Yes, Adea.”
“I lied.”
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“I didn’t have anything to drink tonight,” she whispered.
I tensed as the words registered. I froze as I realized what she meant, what that meant. There’s no way. Why would she do all of that then?
“Why then?” I asked.
I wanted, no, needed to know what was going through her mind. What made her make this decision? What made her choose me? What about her mate? The idea that she chose me over him with a clear mind gave me hope, a hope I didn’t think I deserved.
“Isn’t it obvious?” She asked. Her voice was breathless.
“No, Adea. It isn’t.”
“I don’t want him,” she whispered. “I want you.”
“What about your mate?” I asked.
“I… I need to get my head out of the clouds. The chances that I’ll find my mate aren’t likely. I might never find him. Even if I did, wouldn’t it be sad to find him just to have to reject him? At this point , I think it would be better if I never met him. If I never found him, I’d never have to know him, picture him, see him, know his smell. I wouldn’t have to say goodbye to him, I wouldn’t have to rip my own heart out just so he could get a second chance at happiness.”
Wise words for such a young girl but Adea wasn’t a normal girl. She was never normal. She always saw more than she should have, she’d been through more than any other girl her age had to go through, and she’d always been more mature. Had she ever had a chance to be a girl? Just a girl? I sighed.
“So where does that put me? Why did you do this?” I asked.
“You’re Shane,” she said it as if that explained everything.
“I don’t want to give that man any of my firsts. You saw him tonight, he’d been with Ava. I could smell their arousal, I could smell what they’d been up to. She’s a child! More so than me. I can’t… I don’t want him to have me. I don’t want him to have any parts of me. I don’t want him to have any of my firsts. I don’t want him to own anything of me, other than my body. Because he does. He doesn’t own my soul, my heart, or my firsts. I don’t want him to. I can’t let him.” Her voice cracked as she spoke. I knew what she meant and I liked that she didn’t like him. I liked it so damn much.
“Where do I come in, Adea?” I asked.
“You’ve always taken care of me. You’ve always been there for me. You’ve listened to me, helped me, and we’re friends,” she blushed.
“Friends?” I asked.
“Yes, friends,” her face was as red as a tomato now.
“Friends don’t—”
“Shh!” She said, her hands coming up and covering my mouth. I chuckled and wiggled my eyebrows at her. “Not another word.” I nodded. Slowly, she lowered her hands from my mouth.
