I love him

~Alpha Kilhan~

“According to Ashley, before Alpha Darius caught her on the phone, she said the men at the gate take shifts in guarding the building, and this takes ten minutes,” I said to Drex and Charles nodded, paying rapt attention.

“This is 11:50 a.m. We have less than ten minutes to get into the compound.” Charles answered, and I nodded. I looked back at my members who laid low behind us, in the spot we hid.

“Tell them to buckle up,” I whispered to Drex, and he crawled back to give them instructions.

I looked at Charles and saw that his eyes were fixed on the building.

“I swear I’m going to kill that man myself if he murdered my mother.” He mumbled with his jaws clenched.

“It’s so easy to say, but when you get in front of him, I hope you'll be able to lift a finger,” I answered, taking a glance at my wristwatch.

I raised my hand and pointed towards the gate. We all rushed to the gate, holding steadfastly to the weapons we had prepared.

Summoning courage, I proceeded to open the gate quietly, and just as we had hoped, the gate area was empty.

‘They are preparing for the next shift.’

I looked back and signaled the others to fall in. We crept to the main door, looking around for anyone who would want to ruin our plan, but to our surprise, it was all clear until we got to the large wooden door.

And while I climbed the stairs, the door opened all of a sudden, causing me to come to a halt. It wasn’t ten minutes yet.

I raised my head and I saw Alpha Darius Gomez walk out of the house with Ashley Grayson and so many men, who trooped in out of the door.

There were so many of them that this got me terrified, and instead of them getting a hold of me, they went to get my men instead.

“My son!” Ashley called, running towards Charles who was so very confused about what was going on. I looked back and saw that all my pack members were bound by Darius’ men already.

They could hardly use any of their weapons because fear enveloped them.

“Alpha Kilhan. It’s nice to finally meet you.” Alpha Darius uttered with a smile as Ashley walked past me with her son, Charles.

While I stared at him, thinking of what to do next, I saw Ashley standing next to him.

“I’m sorry, Alpha Kilhan. I told you that you wouldn’t win this fight, but you never listen.” She uttered, shaking her head and leading her son into the house, but then he stopped her.

“Wait! Isn’t he supposed to be our enemy?” Charles asked, looking at Alpha Darius.

“He’s your father, Charles. He’s not our enemy. Now, let’s leave them to it.” Ashley answered, but Charles refused to move.

“And you’re just going to let him hurt them?” Charles further questioned. At this point, I was boiling in anger at myself already.

I was so stupid to believe Ashley was on our side all these months.

“Boy, get your ass inside the house!” Darius roared, and the ground underneath our feet vibrated, l causing my eyes to widen.

‘What the hell?’ Khan whispered.

The strength and power he had was nothing close to what I had ever seen. Though I had heard so much about it, it was my first time seeing it.

Yes, I’m an Alpha, but he was way… different. Like he had more going on than just being an Alpha. But one thing I am never going to do is back down.

Summoning more courage, thanks to Khan, I stood upright, moving closer to where Darius stood. His man charged at me but he stopped them by raising his hand.

Getting in front of him, I felt my claws protrude and my jaws began to hurt as they gradually transformed.

“You killed my father. I’m here to kill you.” I uttered, my eyes fixed on him.

“Yes, I’m aware. But it’s pretty stupid of you to think you can kill me. I mean, Alphas like you have tried, and their heads ended up on my plate. Some tasted delicious, some were awful, and some…”

I didn’t let him finish before I raised my hand to hit him, but then he stopped me, letting my hand hang in the air.

“But you are different though.” He uttered with a smirk, closing the gap between us. His face was so close to mine, I could feel his breath on my face.

“You’re bold. Pretty impressive. I mean the others couldn’t even lift a finger. But you’re very determined and tough, something your father didn’t have. I hate that I couldn’t have my soup served in his skull.”

Hearing him say this, I felt something arise inside of me. Something I had never felt. Something I never knew existed. This was way more than anger. It was rage.

‘How dare he talk about my father like that!’

I was enraged and all of me knew and felt it. At the speed of light, I lifted my other hand and smacked his face before he could stop me.

My claws pierced his skin and I dragged it down to his chin, causing him to hastily let go of my hand and stagger backward.

When I let go of him, I looked at my bloody hand in uttermost shock. I had no idea where that strength and speed came from, but I loved it.

His men tried to come at me again, but he stopped them. “He is mine!”

“Speak ill about my father one more time, you bastard!” I roared, thinking of the next step of attack. With his hand on his face, he slowly turned to look at me, and when I saw his face, I saw he had changed.

His eyes were bloodshot and I could see hair rapidly growing out from his jawline. Suddenly, he stood upright and began to storm towards me.

My heart began to thump in my chest as he approached. I could see rage written all over him, but I stood my ground, ready to fight him.

Getting to me, he raised his right hand, and while I followed that hand to stop him, I suddenly felt his left hand pierce into my chest.

Instantly, my whole body stood still. My heart wasn’t thumping against my chest alone this time but against his fingers.

My breathing grew unsteady in no time and sweat began to ooze out of my pores.

“How dare you?!” He roared again. This time, the earth shook in a greater way compared to the first time.

“Say Hi to your father in hell!” His fingers dug deeper, causing my back to arch in agony and pain.

I shut my eyes as I expected him to pull my heart out of my chest.

‘At least I died taking revenge for my father.’ I thought, slowly giving in to unconsciousness.

“Dad! Don’t!!” A familiar voice slapped me back to reality and before I knew it, I felt him drag his fingers out of my chest.

‘Celine?’ I called in my head as she was the first person I saw when I finally opened my eyes.

This time, I was on the floor and she was standing in between me and Darius, with her back against me.

“That’s enough! I told you no killing!” She yelled in tears.

“Look at what he did to my face?! If you don’t want me to kill him here, fine! I’ll just take him somewhere far away and finish him off.” Alpha Darius answered and wanted to walk past her to get to me, but she stopped him again.

“No! You are not killing him at all!” She yelled back again.

‘She lied to me. She said she had nothing to do with her father. But they live together?’ I thought as I held onto my bleeding chest, watching the drama between her and her father.

“You’re not going to tell me what to do, Celine. Leave the way.” He uttered, pushing her to the side and grabbing me by the collar of my bloody shirt.

He pulled me up from the floor and raised his hand to hit me when Celine cried out from behind him.

“I love him, Dad! He’s the love of my life, please don’t do this.” She yelled, and we both slowly turned to look at her in awe.

‘What?’
