Chapter Twenty-Four

Where am I? Why can’t I see anything? What happen to me?
Your safe Josie don’t worry. Everything is going to be okay.
“I’m glad to see you are still with me.”
“I will always be nearby Josie. Just rest and just know everything is going to be okay now.”
“What happened to me? Where am I?”
“Just rest. You’re safe now.”
With that I fall back to sleep wondering what is going on. I couldn’t open my eyes and when I tried to turn my head from side to side all I saw was darkness.
Before I realize what is going on I find myself in a beautiful forest surrounded by hundreds of trees and I can see the moon light guiding me, I am a bit weary to follow but something in my gut is telling me to follow it, so I make my way through the trees and when I come to a beautiful clear blue lake, I make my way to the edge and when I look down into the water I see a beautiful woman looking back up at me and I can’t help but question who she is.
“Don’t worry about who I am dear. All you need to know is that you are safe, and Max is going to help you. I am giving you the ability to determine who is trustworthy and who is not. When you wake you will understand everything I have done and why. I have a plan for my sweet.”
“But who are you. I am so confused right now. What do you mean I will understand everything?”
“I am the mother to all of your kind, and I have had the things happen to you for a reason, I’m sorry they did happen, but it needed to be in place for my plan to come to light. But don’t worry everything will be better once you wake up.”
“When can I wake up? I want to go back. I miss Sarah.”
“I will send you back very shortly, but first you must understand. You will need to gather great focus and you will need to learn to master your abilities.”
“What do you mean abilities. What abilities?”
“I am gifting you the ability to know when someone is trustworthy, and the ability to control the elements of the earth and you will be able to ask mother earth for help with her plants when need be. And you will need to learn to focus and learn to have patients with learning to controls these abilities.”
“I don’t think I can do that. I am not strong enough. Why did you choose me for this?”
“You are stronger than you think my dear. Besides you will have an amazing support system to stand beside you and to guide you. You must trust those who show you that they care. But be weary of those who are true friends and those who try to manipulate your kindness.”
I will keep those I already trust close by and those that I am already weary of at a distance.”
“Good, don’t let me down and do the best that you can.”
“I will do my best to not disappoint you. I will do my best to make sure to keep all that you have told me close to my heart so I can become the strong she-wolf you have chosen me to be.”
“It is time for you. To go back now my sweet. You have someone very special waiting for you. He is very worried for your wellbeing.”
“What do you mean? Who is waiting for me?”
But before she can answer me, I see nothing but darkness around me again and through the darkness I hear a faint beeping and voices that I try to make out but it’s still a bit difficult to make out who the voices belong to.
I need to open my eyes, but when I try to open them, I am met with resistance. I’m too tired and too weak to fight anymore. Maybe if I just rest a little more, I can open them fully after a while.

Why hasn’t she woken up yet? She needs to wake up, she has been out for three days now. Her birthday is tomorrow, and I want to take her home, so she won’t have to spend her birthday in the pack hospital. I need her to wake up. If she doesn’t wake up, I don’t think I could survive the aftermath.
My parents try to get me to leave and go for a walk or go home to shower or rest, but I refuse to leave her when she is like this. They have had to bring me food in order to get me to eat, but even that seems like a challenge for me right now. I just need my little mate to wake up. Why won’t she wake up. While I’m sitting here just staring at her, I hear footsteps come into the room and when I don’t look over to meet their eyes, I hear the voice of the person I already know who it is.
“How is she doing son?”
“I don’t know dad; she still hasn’t woken up. Why won’t she wake up?”
I say all this with a quiver to my voice and tears about to fall from my eyes, I have to quickly blink my eyes to keep them from falling.
“I’m not sure son, it could be her wolf keeping her asleep to help her heal or it could be the Moon Goddess doing this. We just don’t know, but George says she will wake when she is ready.”
“Dad, I…I can’t lose her. It’s already been so hard to see her like this. Do we know who did this to her?”
“Yes son, we do. We have them in the dungeons. I was going to wait for you to make the decision on the punishment.”
“Thank you, dad. I will wait until Jo wakes up and talk with her to make my decision.”
“Son, why don’t you head home for a couple hours, take a shower and get some food. Don’t take this the wrong way son, but you don’t exactly smell very pleasant, you don’t want Josie to smell what I smell when she wakes up do you?”
“Maybe your right dad.”
“I AM the Alpha for a reason son.”
My dad thinks he is so funny. I stand to make my way out the door to head home for a shower and some food and I try to give him a hug, but he holds his hand out to stop me.
“Son. Maybe have that shower first?”
“Right, sorry dad. I’ll be back in a couple hours. Call me if anything changes.”
“Of course, I will son. I’ll be right here with her through the whole time until you return.”
I continue my way out the door to head to the packhouse for a quick shower and some food. I want to get back before my little mate wakes up.
When I finally make it back to my room, I quickly run to the bathroom turn the shower on and strip out of my clothes and throw them into the dirty hamper and step into the shower, I turn so the hot water beats down on my tense back muscles and helps me to relax just a little. I’m still worried about my little mate. I hope she wakes up soon. I don’t know how I would survive if anything happen to hear.
While I’m standing here in the shower thinking about how I want her to wake soon, I also can’t help the images that pop into my mind of her beautiful green eyes and her long dark hair. Her beautiful, luscious curves the way her chest is the perfect size and makes me think how they would feel in the palm of my hands and the perfect size of her nice, round bottom and I wonder what it would feel like in my hands as well, I can’t help the images that pop into my mind and I can’t keep my hand from wandering down my body to my lonely friend, I begin to stroke up and down and more images begin to form in my mind and I can’t stop, I keep going until I find the release that I need.
When I am finally done with my shower, I make my way out and get myself dressed and head down to the kitchen to find something to eat quickly so I can get back to the pack hospital so I can be there for my mate when she wakes up.
When I am finally full of the food our pack cook has made for me, I make my way back to the hospital.
When I finally make it back, I head up to Josie’s room and before I can make my way inside, I hear loud voices coming from inside and I have a feeling I’m not going to like what I am about to walk into.
