Alpha Daniel pov

Finally.

We had run that last stretch laughing and being playful with our beasts. Soon as the mansion and the town started to appear, she went quiet, a confused feeling stirring in me like she didn’t know what to think about being back here.

I shifted, ignoring the blush of my mate even if she was still a beast, good. I didn’t want her naked around all the males finally catching up with us. I saw Ben standing in front of the gates, grinning, and I rolled my eyes. That man never smiled. Still, he did because he was amused that my Omega mate had outrun warriors, which in theory, should be impossible.

I ignored him for the time being, taking one of the blankets that had been prepared and swiped it over my beautiful mate, that looked at me with those gorgeous silver eyes when she shifted and crawled up with the blanket around her tiny frame and frail shoulders. she wasn’t a fighter or an alpha, she was built like an omega, smelled like one when I meet her, it was still confusing me how she was able to manage to do everything she did.

“Ben, get someone to take Allison to eat and wash up.” He was already nodding, giving commands in his head, when I suddenly felt the tingles from my arm, her tiny hand touching me, giving my dick reason to get hard again without even trying.

“no. I’m not leaving your side.” She sounded so sure of herself, so confident when she looked cute as a button being all serious next to me, both still naked in front of everyone.

“Allie, sweetheart, I need to talk to Ben alone...” I said, the last part darker; I didn’t want to corrupt her any more than she already had been, she was so pure and innocent when I first saw her, and now she had been smeared with blood more times than I was comfortable with.

Allison looked definitely up at me, making me almost smile again. She was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen, and I swore she wouldn’t set foot outside the borders if it wasn’t with me.

“You can’t just call me your Luna and then dump me; if you want me, you got to let me in on everything, and I mean everything, Dan.” She linked back at me, raising her eyebrows, and a warm feeling spread throughout my body, so she would stay. Wanted to give us a chance without me chaining her to the bed, which I was fully prepared to do If she got the crazy idea of running again.

“Fine...” I answered back, and in the heat of the moment, I put my arm around her waist and pulled her to my side, feeling that soft skin against mine. She flinched but only for a second before leaning in a bit again, my chest making my beast go absolutely crazy, and I looked down at her, grinning like a fool when she turned up her head and smiled back at me.

Right then, I felt pure hope coursing through my heart that she had forgiven me for trying to kill her and leaving her in that dump. I would tear down brick by brick as soon as possible.

I kept staring at those lush, plump lips she was teasing me with, making it even harder when she bit them, longing for me to kiss her. I wanted to ravage her. Every part when I leaned down and pressed my lips against her soft ones, she didn’t back away, making me more eager to taste her, she let out a small moan, and my cock was rock hard again.

“Getting a batch of pups till springtime?” The annoying voice of my Beta cut through the haze that both I and Allison got caught in when I lifted my head from her embarrassed beautiful face that was flushed. She held her eyes down, still clinging onto me, wanting to hide from that blockhead of a Beta I had.

“Asshole.” He just laughed at my sneering when Allison pulled the blanket harder around her body as she had just realized what had happened in front of everyone in the courtyard of the Alpha mansion's entrance.

“Just take me to whatever I’m supposed to be, and I'll meet up with you guys later.” She had a more reserved tone against me, against everyone, and I was going to kill Ben for being a fucking idiot saying lines that made my mate nervous again!

I nodded. Allison was now scared, and I could see it in her eyes. She was still afraid of the mate bond and what I did to her, and she was trying to accept it, accept us.

I sighted when I reluctantly let her go and watched her walk away with some female that Ben had commanded to help her.

“EVERYONE, SHOWS OVER; GET THE FUCK TO WORK!” I snapped at the remaining guards that were still lingering.

I hope they enjoyed starring at my mate because that had earned them double time at their shifts which Ben already was dishing out, making everyone grunt and sight, bearing their necks in submission.

I was already walking inside with Ben behind me, still grinning like an idiot, making me even angrier than I already was at his outstanding cockblocking skills.

I opened the door to the Alpha office when the scent of aroused females hit me like a ton of brick.

I was staring at the group of females that were all semi-naked. They were pretty and eager, all wanting a chance at my cock and favor. I sneered at their faces. What the fuck was this?!

I turned around, looking at Ben, who seemed just as confused as I was, and I thanked the goddess that Allison hadn’t come along. She would have thought that I had a fucking harem ready at my beck and call!

“Alpha….” One of the girls was braver than the others and started to approach me, and my scowl got even scarier, making her hesitate in her steps toward me.

“Who the fuck gave you all permission to be in here!?” I was already roaring when they all whimpered at my rage. I didn’t even know where to start; somebody obviously put them in here, just waiting for me to ruin the slight chance left I had with Allison.

“Answer the alpha!” Ben’s voice boomed when he took one of the girls’ arms and held her firmly with one hand when all the girls were already bearing their necks in submission.

“It was Luna Sabrina! She said you wanted some company coming back from the borders!” the girl in Ben's arms shrieked even more, and I raised my eyebrows, Luna Sabrina? Was she fucking crazy?! I was already storming out of my office, leaving Ben with the scared females that were all crying now, when I felt the old desire to hurt Sabrina fleering up. Allison made me fucking crazy. Still, I never wanted to hurt her, not like this cunning cunt that I was going to teach a fucking lesson once and for all!

Sabrina was doing some shit by her mirror when I busted out her door. She let out a small scream from the sheer sight of me, still naked, with black eyes and a scowl permanently on my otherwise attractive face. She wanted to play games, and I could do that as well, that little bitch.

“So…. Luna Sabrina…. aren’t you going to greet your Alpha when he comes back from the borders?” my voice was dark and grim, the beast seeping into it when I could hear her heartbeat pounding hard against her chest, her big blue eyes filled with terror knowing precisely what I came here to give her for being a disobedient little bitch that she was!

“Alpha…. what are you talking about?” she stuttered, making me smile sinister at her trembling body. She didn’t even have the decency to admit that she still wanted to be Luna, even after begging her now-dead father to take her home.

“You bitch, I know that it was you, don’t even try to play even more fucking stupid than you already are!” my laugh made her body go into flight or fight mode. We both knew what she would do when my claws started to extend om my left hand.

“Alpha, please, I’m telling the truth! I don’t want to be your Luna, please, you have to, believe me, I’m…” she was already chocking when I was beside her in a heartbeat, already holding her by the neck, squeezing the lies out of that pretty little mouth that had been noting but fucking trouble since the day I meet her!

“Let go of her!” a voice that I was familiar with was booming behind me with such force that I turned my head from Sabrina’s crying, the sniveling face that was starting to turn a shade of purple, looking in surprise at my Gamma whose eyes were pitch-black, ready to pounce me if I didn’t let go of the skank in front of me.

I dropped Sabrina with a scowl. She started to cough from the pressure I had been having on her neck. She was utterly pathetic in my eyes.

He didn’t waste any time already kneeling beside her with me, still staring at the two of them in disbelief. My Gamma was a youngling, believe it or not, only eighteen but one of the most ferocious motherfucker I’ve ever seen on the battlefield he had been on since his father stepped down just a few months ago.

“I’m going to kill you.” I scoffed at the sound of the young Gamma, deadly serious when his brown eyes met mine, fearless, not giving a shit that I would kill him in an instant if I wanted to. He was skilled; however, I was still bigger, stronger, and superior to his Gamma status.

“Noah… no….” Sabrina was still trying to catch her breath as the young Gamma stood up with her clinging on to him like she never would let go again.

I crossed my arms over my chest, still staring at them in disbelief. No… please tell me that they were what I thought they were, and that meant I had to see Sabrina’s face for the rest of my fucking life!

“She’s your mate.” It wasn’t even a question, I could tell she was close to him, and that protective stance looked exactly like I was with Allison, fucking great!

“She’s mine, and you just tried to kill her! I should have killed you right when you took your first steps back, you motherfucker! She told me everything!” Noah was really barking back at me, furious with his eyes gone pitch-black again at the thought of me hurting his mate.

I didn’t answer; a part of me felt guilty about that, I really did, but then I remembered that she tried to pretend to be my Luna and my anger flared up again at the couple in front of me.

“She sent fucking whores to my office, telling them that she was the Luna when everyone knows damn well that I was bringing my mate back with me. She needs to be punished!”

The whole mansion heard my Alpha voice roaring throughout the land. I was fucking pissed off, she tried to sabotage my relationship with my mate when she had already found hers, and I had been fucking benevolent enough to spare her from being executed along with her father!

“I didn’t! I didn’t send anyone. I’ve been with Noah since I knew he was my mate. Why would I want to be your Luna when I found my own!?” Sabrina’s hoarse voice from being strangled by me was barely audible but everyone caught in thanks to our superior hearing.

“I don’t fucking know! revenge!?” I blurted out when she did the last thing I ever thought she would do when small laughter left her lips, and Noah was still staring me down like he had a fighting chance of taking me down.

“I don’t need revenge, Alpha; you are handling your own downfall with that mate who can’t even stand you!” I was speechless for a few seconds, and she saw it; if there was something Sabrina was good at, it was being a fucking venomous snake, and the urge to kill her started to come back in my head, Gamma female or not!

“I am still your alpha, and I dare you to talk fucking back to me one more time, Gamma.” She did fall back from the radiant power of my Alpha power rolling off me, and Gamma Noah bored his neck against his will, grinding his teeth and staring against the wooden floors.

“Dan, that’s enough!” everyone in the room snapped at the small female standing in the doorway with my Beta behind her, looking ferocious as the warrior I knew she was.

I gulped hard at her presence. She was stunning with her hair still wet from showering in a loose fish braid and a black tank top showing off her amazing tits and delicate neck, unafraid to show the big scar that was my doing, that made me so fucking proud for some reason. She wasn’t ashamed to have my mark, even if the method had been unconventional, to say the least.

“Everyone is going to calm the fuck down, and you!” she pointed at me with her slender finger making me almost mesmerized by those silver eyes that were mad at me again.

“Put some goddamn pants on, or I’m going to strip naked in front of the whole damn town,” I growled at her last words. She wouldn’t dare. She was only mine to have, to look at, touch, and taste, and she would kill anyone who tried to get their hands on her!

“Now you know how your Gamma is feeling. You just tried to kill his mate right before his eyes.” Her voice was calmer, linking me to private as I released the air I had been holding and let my arms fall to the side of me. Shit, she was right!

I walked around the desk and took out a pair of pants I had stashed in case I needed them. I guess this was that time, and I pulled them on, buttoning without breaking eye contact with my mate, who suddenly didn’t seem to get enough of me.

Her whole face showed how bad she wanted me right now. I smirked back and took a seat in the leather chair, still bare-chested, and nodded to the rest of the room to sit the fuck down.

Noah pulled Sabrina along with him, and she was already sitting in his lap when I rolled my eyes at the newly mated couple. This was going to be so much fun.

Ben was sitting on the other chair in front of the desk, relaxed. Allison was standing by the window looking down on the village, making me long for her touch, just like Noah and Sabrina were holding on to each other.

“Now what, Luna?” I said her title lovingly but still ensured she heard I was teasing her. She was marvelous, the sun making her silhouette radiate with power that she was pulsating put without even knowing about it.

“I still want to kill you, Alpha, for hurting my mate. Make no mistake, I do not forget about this. The young Gamma's voice was filled with venom. I can see how he fitted perfectly with the snake in his arms, still afraid to even look at me.

My eyes swirling with black, my human side understood why he said that shit. Still, my beast didn’t like it and was ready to start shredding through the pup’s flesh if he kept insubordinate with me.

“You are getting over it, Gamma. She is still breathing, isn’t she?” Allison’s voice was cold and hard, with no traces of the shaking young girl who first met my eyes here just a few weeks ago. She was acting like a true Luna already, not taking shit from anyone these days. I couldn’t be prouder of my girl.

She hadn’t turned around, and my Gammas eyes snapped at her, unwilling to hear her words, he was pissed, and I got it, but this wasn’t the time for in-fighting when a war was already on the horizon.

“I killed the heir of the south, so if you want me dead, Noah, there is a big chance that it will come true if my higher-ranking officers turn on me. I said the sentence in a loud, growling voice. I wasn’t going to apologize for hurting his mate, this was the best he would get from me, and he knew it as well.

Sabrina gasped at my words. She was the daughter of an Alpha, not one of the biggest ones. Still, she knew pack politics better than anyone, a reason I would have made her my Luna if not for Allison had finally shown up.

“That was fucking stupid….” Noah hissed back at me when I rolled my eyes at his answer, it was stupid, but I would have done it again in a heartbeat.

“No shit.” I didn’t even look at Allison. She was tense from hearing about me killing the fucker that had tried to rape her. I wanted to get back and kill that piece of shit myself for making my mate feel nervous and scared again.

“Well, what's done is done. Nothing more we can do now is to face this shitstorm that this is going to be.” Ben’s voice was stern and strained, so he returned to being the serious dickhead he always was.

“Fuck Alpha, I just found my mate, and you’re telling me we are going to fucking war?” Noah did seem a little more concerned about that instead of wanting to kill me, not that I cared if he would try. I was never going to like Sabrina.

I gave him a grim smile like he was the only one who had, I didn’t want to leave Allison, but I couldn’t take her with me either. She would die in the first seconds of the battle. The mere thought made my heart pound faster in the panic that made my wolf howl out in pain when she turned around and looked straight at me with her intrigued silver eyes. She felt my pain and didn’t know what to do about it.

Then she did the last thing in the world that I thought she would do when she casually walked over to me, ignoring that I was starring her down, and put her hand on my shoulder, making the tingles hit me like a taser and making me want to do nothing more than to clear the desk and mount her right on the spot.

“What about allies?” I snapped my eyes back at her face, still staring at her hand like a damn creep raising my eyebrows, this girl was full of surprises, and they kept coming.

Before I had time to answer, Ben released a slight chuckle that was obviously mocking her question. I growled at him for being disrespectful to my mate. He should know fucking better than the Beta!

“We have none. Alpha Daniel is…. Let’s call him a rulebreaker, and many Alphas don’t like him bending the old ways to his liking.” Ben's dark voice still had laughter in it, like it was something to even laugh at; Asshat, I was going to rip him a new asshole next training session.

“No allies? Not even one?” She turned towards me, accusing in both her eyes and voice, and I didn’t know If I was getting turned on or pissed off at her questions, probably both….I gave her a blank stare back. This was not her problem; it was mine.

“Daniel, seriously. No allies, and you killed that alpha boy. What the hell were you thinking? A lot of people are going to die….” She had lost her anger at the end of the sentence, and she was replaced with sadness that I knew came from her feelings over the warriors that had died yesterday. The number of beasts that were going to die was going to be enormous compared to that.

“I do it again in a heartbeat. I don’t care if the whole fucking world burns as long as you're safe, Allie.” I turned to her seeing her full profile standing by my side, completely ignoring the rest of the room that had the smartness to not try to interrupt our conversation.

She didn’t answer, only rewarded me with a small smile that didn’t reach her eyes. I was scared again that the small glimpse of hope I had seen out in the courtyard was gone, all because of this stupid fucking war.

“We need allies….” She whispered the words almost as to herself, and I couldn’t keep the grin away from my face even if I tried. She said we, as in us, as in she was my mate, and accepting me as her male.

I couldn’t be fucking happier right now.
