Chapter 304 Seems Like I Shouldn't Have Spoiled You So Much
Sarah hadn't eaten in two days, and Olivia was freaking out. She kept saying, "Mrs. Windsor, you can't just stop eating and drinking like this!"
Olivia brought Jacob over and put him in front of Sarah, speaking softly, "If not for yourself, at least think about Jacob. If something happens to you, even though Mr. Windsor loves Jacob, do you really want him to end up with some random woman who might treat him badly? Look at him! He's your own flesh and blood!"
Olivia went on and on, hoping Sarah would give in, but Sarah still refused to eat and didn't even look at Jacob.
Olivia was so worried she started crying, and Jacob, in her arms, began to cry too. They both just sat there, crying together.
Sarah leaned against the window, staring outside. She gripped the couch tightly, fighting the urge to hold Jacob.
Olivia found Oliver in the study, drinking.
She glanced at the alcohol on the table. Oliver was slouched on the couch, holding an unlit cigar, just staring at it.
It was Dylan's favorite brand. Last year, Oliver had bought the company and stopped the production line. He was lost in thought.
Olivia, clearly upset, rocked Jacob gently and told Oliver about Sarah, "She's been starving for two days! Mr. Windsor, are you really going to let her starve to death? If you ask me, if she dies, it won't be clean. You might as well let Jacob starve too. That way, you'll have peace and quiet. No one will know you were married and had a kid, and you can still fool plenty of young girls."
Olivia's harsh words came from a place of concern for Sarah and Jacob.
After seeing those awful videos, Sarah had every right to be mad. But Oliver was being stubborn too. For two days, he ignored her, acting like a heartless husband and father.
Oliver looked at her, and Olivia's eyes reddened, "She was so cherished by her family all her life. Even if you hate her brother, he still loved her. Mr. Windsor, if you want to vent your anger, it's time to stop. At least for Jacob's sake!"
Oliver asked softly, "Am I venting my anger?"
Olivia looked down at Jacob, her tone softening, "If it's not venting, then is it treating her well? Mr. Windsor, I may be old, but I can still see clearly when it comes to matters of the heart. Loving someone doesn't mean letting them suffer, especially not starving them!"
Olivia, as a servant, dared not say more.
Oliver sat alone until evening, then got up and walked out of the study towards the master bedroom.
The hallway lights were off, only a faint orange-red light from the stained glass at the end, giving the house a ghostly vibe.
Oliver grabbed the handle of the master bedroom door and paused for a moment.
He hadn't seen Sarah for two days, waiting for her to give in, but clearly, she was still on a hunger strike.
The door opened, and the bedroom was even darker than outside.
Sarah leaned against the window. Even in the dim light, he could see her small, delicate face, looking a bit sick.
Oliver walked in, coming right up to her.
Sarah didn't look at him. He stared at her face, his voice slightly hoarse, "Olivia said you haven't eaten for two days! Is it a lack of appetite, or do you just not want to eat?"
Sarah's tone was faint, "Don't you know?"
Of course, he knew.
Oliver sneered, "So, you're just playing with your life, huh? Sarah, I didn't back down last time, and I'm not backing down now! People are scared of dying. Your current bravado is just impulsive. When it comes down to it, everyone feels fear and regret."
Sarah turned to look at him, her eyes slightly red.
Oliver reached out to touch her face, lowering his stance for once, "Come on, eat something! If you finish your meal, I'll take you out for a walk. The streets are lively, and you've always wanted to go out, right?"
His offer was tempting, but only if she were willing to be a fool, which she wasn't.
Sarah's slender throat tightened slightly, her voice even more strained, "Oliver, we're done! I won't eat, and I won't go out with you! How can you think that after seeing that video, I can still coexist peacefully with you?"
Night fell, the world darkened.
Oliver sneered, "Sarah, you don't think I love you, do you?"
He leaned close to her ear. His voice was gentle but cold, "I just haven't had enough of you! After our divorce, I found that no matter how beautiful other women were, I had no desire for them. But thinking of you begging and crying under me, I immediately felt the desire. I regret divorcing you, but even divorced, it doesn't stop us from having sex. Maybe without the title of a couple, we'll have more fun!"
Oliver deliberately spoke harshly to hurt her.
Indeed, Sarah couldn't bear to hear those words. She immediately tried to push his hand away, but he caught her.
Oliver, being tall and strong, easily caught her slender wrist. Then, he raised her arms, forcing her body to arch, subjecting her to his gaze.
Oliver's words were filthy, "Seems like I shouldn't have spoiled you so much!"
Sarah struggled desperately, but she couldn't break free. Her delicate wrists were rubbed raw, but Oliver felt no pity. He had been drinking, which made him more aroused. Sarah's body, twisting in front of him, her slender waist, and her ample bosom after childbirth, were very enticing.
He lifted her onto his waist, not going all the way, but satisfying himself through her clothes.
Sarah tilted her head back, her expression pained. Unable to bear the torment, she half-lay on his shoulder, forced to endure his touch.
At that moment, she felt deeply ashamed and humiliated, like a prostitute for his release.
In that fog of pain, she vaguely remembered their wedding in a small chapel. The wedding dress was something Oliver had flown 18 hours to get. At the altar, he had vowed, "Sarah will be my love for this lifetime."
She now thought, 'Love? What a ridiculous word, what an absurd promise!'
Sarah couldn't hold on any longer. She clung to Oliver weakly, her eyes empty, blood at the corner of her mouth.
That was the blood from her heart, once so passionate, now cold.
She struggled again, frantically trying to break free from him. She didn't want him to touch her anymore, never again! He was so dirty!
Oliver stopped, holding the exhausted Sarah, who was at her wit's end, using the last of her strength.
He stared into her eyes, then put her down, quickly walked to the bedroom door, and called out, "Olivia, get the doctor!"
Downstairs, Olivia was startled.
She guessed what had happened and instinctively pleaded, "Mr. Windsor, please let me try to persuade Mrs. Windsor again. She will listen!"
Oliver didn't change his mind, "Call the doctor."
This time, his tone was less gentle. Olivia, sensing another conflict had occurred, dared not delay and immediately called a doctor named Albert Murphy.
