Chappter 35
Before I could respond to everything Sky had said, my wolf suddenly disappeared, leaving me in an empty room.

In that empty room, I felt my body ache again and all my memories with the people around me began to replay, and I started to wonder if I was going to die. I remembered that when someone is about to die, they see fragments of their memories from their lifetime replaying like a tape in their brain.

After watching the entire film, somehow, I didn't feel anything anymore. I felt that maybe death was indeed coming for me.

Just as I began to feel ready to leave this world, I suddenly felt my body being sucked back in, and sure enough, my spirit seemed to have entered my body.

I did begin to feel that my body was still in pain as before, but unfortunately I couldn't open my eyes, although I could hear the commotion in the room clearly.

"Mr. Eric, we can't go on like this. While Alpha is in a coma, you must take over his responsibilities. This place is in chaos right now, problems are popping up everywhere, and the people are demanding that we act quickly. They must not know that Alpha has been in a coma for 7 days."

I could hear that My Beta sounded worried, but that wasn't the point of my hearing. I felt that My Beta was telling a lie because it was impossible that I had been in a coma for that long and now that I was awake, I could immediately take control of my body. However, why won't my body cooperate? No matter what I do, I can't open my heavy eyes.

“You can't force your body like this, Richard. The more you force it, the less likely we'll ever wake up.” Sky's voice made me realize that I could feel my own body, but how come I couldn't move?

“Don't be stubborn, Richard. We are entering the recovery phase. We will be able to control our bodies when we are truly ready, when we are exhausted and there is no more energy left in our bodies. If you continue to force it, we will wake up paralyzed. Is that what you want?” Sky continued to nag me, making me very annoyed, but I couldn't do anything about it.

“You're so noisy, calm down, I won't do anything else!” Finally, I gave up. I didn't want to wake up paralyzed either. If that happened, I was sure that the Cendana Pack wouldn't be able to survive. Our enemies, knowing my condition, would surely attack this place immediately, and I couldn't let my people get hurt like that.

Seeing that I wasn't doing anything to control our bodies, Sky disappeared. I realized that Sky's power over my body was quite weak, and he seemed to be just trying to communicate with me so that I wouldn't take any rash actions that would hurt us both even more.

“What can I do, Beta?” My son Eric's words made me want to listen to what had actually happened while I was unconscious.

“I'm sorry, Mr. Eric, but you must act quickly. We cannot continue to ignore this problem because the Cendana Pack is currently being targeted by enemies,” replied my Beta, and I realized from his words that the Cendana Pack was indeed in a very dangerous situation.

"I understand what you mean, Beta, but don't you realize that I am still very young? Who would listen to me if I spoke? I know that I am the heir to this place, sooner or later, the throne will be mine, but that is still a long way off. Why don't you just ask my mother for help? My mother is a very powerful Luna, she can control this place well. So hurry up and go see her, I will take care of father here."

Hearing Eric's words, I agreed with my son because at Eric's age, no one would really listen to him, unless I was dead and then the Cendana Pack would have no choice but to listen to Eric as their Alpha. And Hazel is here, so shouldn't my Luna fulfill her responsibilities? Because all the luxuries she has must be earned through the responsibilities she must control.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Eric, did you forget that Luna was very sad when she heard about the Alpha’s existence? Luna Hazel has locked herself away because of all the sadness she feels. She doesn't want to leave her room until the Alpha regains consciousness, and it's very difficult for us to talk to her. Maybe you can persuade her because we have to act quickly before the people get really angry," replied My Beta, making me smile because I knew that Hazel really loved me and as my mate, of course she would miss me very much if I was sick like this, right? I was not wrong to love a woman like her.

“Look, Sky, how much Hazel loves us. If she knew that all this time you had been underestimating her, she would be very sad.” I said everything proudly to the very foolish Sky.

“What nonsense are you talking about, Richard? Can't you think clearly even now? She's not really sad because you're in a coma, but she's just running away because she doesn't want to take on her own responsibilities as Luna. Where are her responsibilities? She doesn't have any, and you can't be proud of a disgusting woman like that!”

“Don't avoid the truth, Richard. Your brain is completely blinded by love!” Sky continued to scold me.
