Chapter 41 Too Deep into the Role

Austin personally came to pick up Queenie. Wearing a custom-made high-end suit, Austin looked cold and indifferent. He stood there in silence, making several police officers feel scared.

Queenie wanted to kill Austin, but she had to maintain a bright smile. She was dressed casually today. With a high ponytail, Queenie looked fair and innocent.

"Darling." Queenie looked very pitiful because of her wet eyes. Pouting her cherry-like lips, she looked very helpless.

Men who saw Queenie wanted to catch her tears with their hands.

Austin even suspected that he had gone too far.

"Darling." Queenie continued to act, "You finally came. I thought you really didn't care about me."

Queenie immediately walked toward Austin and held onto his arm. "Darling, I will definitely not hurt you anymore in the future."

The men became more excited when they heard Queenie's sweet voice. Queenie was so charming.

Austin became stiff. Queenie's sweet voice, wet eyes, and scorching breath seeped into his heart like fine wine. He couldn't help but reach out and embrace Queenie's slender waist, but Queenie instinctively avoided him. Austin tightly gripped her waist and threatened, "The police are watching us. If you don't want to leave the police station, you better struggle."

Queenie was speechless. She didn't struggle and hugged Austin, but she viciously pinched his waist.

Austin frowned. Seeing the bandage on his hand, Austin had already guessed Queenie's evil plan. He leaned close to Queenie and whispered in her ear, "If you dare to hurt me again, I will make sure you're locked up in this place forever."

Queenie bit her lip in silence and stared closely into Austin's eyes. Their breaths intertwined. "My dear, how could I ever harm you? Since you care so much about me, I really do love you."

Austin was stunned and gazed at her beautiful face.

Queenie suddenly pushed him away.

Austin realized that they had already left the police station, so he had no more use for Queenie.

Queenie quickly left, leaving Austin feeling annoyed.

"Stop!"

Queenie turned to see Austin approaching her with a cold expression. "I haven't finished talking. Why did you run away?"

"Austin!" Queenie was consumed by anger and struggled to restrain herself from killing him. "Wake up. We're just pretending to be a couple."

"What? So you didn't really realize you were wrong?"

Queenie was speechless.

Seeing Queenie grit her teeth, Austin felt happy.

But thinking about her actions just now, Austin became gloomy. "Where did you learn these flirting techniques? Have you been seducing men every day for the past few years?"

"It's none of your business!"

"I'm still your husband."

"I haven't seen any husband who sends his wife to the police station. I'll tell your grandparents when I see them."

"Whatever."

Queenie remained silent. She thought, 'I don't believe you don't have any weaknesses.' She swore to seek revenge on Austin.

In the end, Queenie was forcibly put into the car by Austin. He said, "You have to come with me. Otherwise, I'll send you back to the police station."

Queenie was afraid that her two children would worry about her, so she messaged Chloe to take care of them because she couldn't leave with Austin around.

Hearing that Queenie was with Austin, Chloe was delighted. She thought that Queenie and Austin were meeting too frequently. She firmly believed that Austin did not want to divorce Queenie.

Seeing Queenie and Austin get into the car together made Sam very nervous. "Mrs. Lewis," Sam respectfully said.

Queenie ignored Sam because she was angry at the moment. She felt that Austin had never respected her.

"Drive. Go back to the company," Austin commanded.

Queenie shouted, "Am I supposed to go to the company with you?"

"Do you have a problem?"

"Austin, are you crazy? Why would I go to your company? Don't you hate it when I come to your company to find you?"

Queenie remembered one time when she made lunch and went to the Lewis Group to surprise Austin, but he sternly scolded her for doing such meaningless things.

"To avoid any mishaps, you must be with me before we go see your grandparents," Austin deliberately paused. "Otherwise, I will send you back to the police station. I'll come pick you up at five."

Queenie was furious! She didn't expect Austin to treat her like a child, locking her up.

Sam was very worried. He thought, 'Mr. Lewis, why don't you admit that you can't bear to leave Mrs. Lewis?'

After answering a phone call, Sam reported to Austin, "Mr. Lewis, it's Mr. Jackson. He said he has found an actress to play the role of Rene. So, he wants to ask if you're okay with other roles. He promises to give you a promising role. He won't let you down."

Austin firmly said, "Tell him it's not okay. I can invest another $4 million."

Sam was speechless. He felt that Austin was spoiling Nora too much.

Queenie overheard their conversation and instantly became sad. She didn't expect Austin to spoil Nora so much. She smirked, "Mr. Lewis, do you want me to write an article praising your love?"

Austin ignored her sarcasm. He thought that Queenie was jealous of Nora.

"Rene is a beauty that captivates the king," Queenie continued, "Nora is not suitable for this role. Mr. Lewis, how much money have you given the crew in total?"

Austin glanced at Queenie, "How does that concern you? So what if Nora is not suitable for this role? Are you saying you’re suitable?"

Queenie lifted her head and gazed at Austin seductively. Her delicate fingers touched her delicate face. She softly said, "I really want to give it a try. What do you think?"

Austin smirked.
